Chapter 18: Oceania's Visit

Two Weeks Later

I had released Tricia from her contract and she is no longer my lady-in-waiting, and she was disappointed but understood the predicament. I still promised to help her in any way and find her daughter, she was grateful and moved out of the Palace and back home in her old apartment. Tibbs started training with Michael and he has improved a lot in his fighting skills, Ryker was so proud of him. Tibbs had warmed up to us when he realized we saw him as part of the family and we weren't going to kill him but he wanted his revenge on those who caused his mother's demise and we granted his request when he was older but now he is just a kid attending high school. I was struggling with my bloodlust and no one knew about it, I tried to keep my anger at bay and drank more blood bags than usual, I was hiding my addiction from my family and it was getting worse now that Tricia was gone.

Issy was scared of the bite and I never tried to pressure her when we were intimate, sometimes she would let it happen and sometimes she wouldn't. Tibbs' family had given him an invitation to visit Oceania and I was going with him, this would be nice to get to see the territory I would be running and know more about the species, we would be gone a few hours tops. The Kingdom we were in, was part of Oceania and it was named Earwyn, it was his grandfather's Kingdom and he was the King here. However, King Squashi was over all the other smaller Kingdoms who eventually answered to me and then I answered to Aidan, so a chain-of-command so to speak. King Tasi was Tiberius's grandfather and he met us at the end of the long hall, we were being escorted by other sirens and one of them kept looking at Tibbs in awe.

I smiled because he is fascinating, his tail/fins are very beautiful and mesmerizing, King Tasi bowed to me and looked at Tibbs smiling and saying, "Welcome home." Teku swam up and said, "Nephew, how nice it is to see you," and he just stared at him before we ended up in the grand hall where Tasi had a conference room ready with fine food and wine, how did they get it done, I will never know but I rather not eat. We discussed a lot of things at that dinner and Tibbs was taking everything in but I felt like something was off and I needed to figure out, what. Tasi explained why he wanted to put his grandson on the throne, it was his way of getting closure for what he did to his mother, he regretted everything when she was cast out of Oceania, her mother was furious with him and ended her life because she couldn't bare the shame and embarrassment, and how he had promised to look for her but it was to late when she was executed.

He said, "She killed a King, that was treason, there was no way I could have saved her when Caspian's family hated us for letting him marry her. We were even banished from seeing her firstborn who was the rightful heir to Squashi's throne but he refused and made a public statement, that he didn't want the throne. He has contacted me and I told him about Tibbs, he wants to meet you someday," and Tibbs just listens unable to answer at the moment. He looked at Tibbs, "I know you want to refuse the throne as well but before you publicly announce it, which will cement it once you sign the contract, think about it," and Tibbs nodded in understanding.

I listened to my grandfather explain the complicated situation that my mother was in before they turned their back on her and I wasn't impressed, I was led to a room where I met this girl who from my understanding was my betrothed, her name was Vasa. Uncle Toffe warned me to be careful touring the Kingdom and something about this situation didn't feel right to him, I agreed, we were missing something but I kept my cool as promised. I was around the townspeople and they were getting a glimpse of the son that came from a traitorous Princess but for some reason, they didn't look angry at me, only fascinated. I had guards on my back following us and one of Toffe's warriors appeared, he was in a magical bubble as well saying, "Ty sent me and Toffe knows I am here," and he bowed. Rumor was one of the best fighters in the Kingdom very strategic and the rest trusted him.

We saw an octopus who had a literal bakery and I smiled as he offered whatever it was but I refused as I didn't know why I was here and I was trying to be careful. After our long tour, I was heading back to the place and Vasa said, "I can visit so we get to know each other better before our mating," I looked at her saying nervously, "Mating?" She smiled, "Yes, our joining," and I was like, "No, I'm so not ready for that," and I do believe in mates like my parents. We went back to our room and she kissed me and I was shocked, I never kissed anyone before and Toffe walked in and smiled before she swam behind me hiding her face, she was embarrassed. Toffe said, "It's time to go," and I told her, "Goodbye," before we went back to the portal to exit out of Oceania, somehow, I knew I was not going to take over, there was something they were not telling me.

Tricia

It's been a week since being let out of my contract and although it was always going to end up this way, I still felt lost and hurt. I guess I had fallen for Toffe but it was time to move on with my life and finally open the store that I had always wanted from my final payment that had quite a few zeros at the end of the check that I did not expect. I was baking a few cupcakes and I felt a presence and turned around, It was Davien and his eyes were bloodshot. The power radiated off of him and I knew something was wrong, I turned the stove down and said, "Davien," but he just stared at me and I was feeling uneasy before he was right in front of me and pulled me to his chest inhaling my scent. He started to calm down and said, "I can't stop, it hurts," and I turned my head and felt his fangs in my neck.

He started to feed and the sensation was amazing, he backed me up to the wall and I said, "Easy, don't take too much," and I closed my eyes before I felt him enter me, I moaned. I never expected this, it happened so fast that I didn't realize when he tore my panties, removed them, and unbuckled his pants. Toffe slowly started thrusting in and out of me building his riddim, I hugged him and my legs were around him as he slide me up and down on his c**k before releasing my neck and he moaned. He looked at me fighting with his counterparts, he looked defeated like he was battling within himself, and he said, "I need to tell Issy what I did."

I knew she was going to have me banished as per contract but I had fallen in love with the man in front of me and was too weak to stop him from going down that road. I knew it had to be done so I told him, "Don't come back, I will find my daughter on my own," and my eyes clouded with tears. I didn't want him to become that man who cheated on his wife, I couldn't do that to Issy, I said, "Permission to leave the pack," and he looked at me and said, "Don't leave," he had tears in his eyes because he had to find other alternatives and he said, "Permission not granted," before teleporting and I cried myself to sleep.
