CHAPTER FOUR
Mark advanced with hesitant steps to the table. His green gaze zeroed in on Lily’s face and searched it impatiently. Although his observation post had been quite far, he had noticed the changes in her eyes during the events. They shocked him. He was still in shock, and his heart pounded a mile a minute.
He didn’t have a problem believing in certain things. He had some knowledge and knew that there were people out there who could do things he had never dreamed about. Some things he had witnessed first-hand, but those were small change given what he had seen Lily do.
He couldn’t put a simple label on the woman in front of his eyes, and that made him a little wary of her. He had observed some of the things she was capable of. Now, he wondered what else she could do.
