Chapter 7: Flight from Nexus
As Darago Fallon reached for Alex’s gun, Kasinda made a last desperate dash for freedom. Pushing off from the floor, she launched herself toward the hatch through which she’d just come a few moments ago. If she could make it into the transfer tube, there was a chance she could race out to the station in Nexus-8 and get more help.
But her move was anticipated. Two of the Darillians swam in front of the hatch, blocking her escape route. She tried to push them aside, but she had no leverage in this freefall situation, and they were stronger than she was. Grabbing her roughly, they tossed her back into the center of the room.
