Chapter Seven - Bunk buddies...

1642 Words
Ryker’s P.O.V Today was the day, we were heading to Vegas. We were booked in a hotel when we got there. We usually book hotels at every place we go to. The bunks on the bus, sleeping for in between shows and travelling from place to place. I was ready for this…tour. It was sold out everywhere! It was gonna be amazing, crazy, and exhausting all in one. I was hoping Alena would be able to handle it. I pulled up outside where everyone was meeting, where the buses were. Well, I never pulled up, my driver did. I thanked him, saying goodbye to him. Security drives when we were are on tour. Everyone was already here which means the beds will be taken. I just hope they remember what I told them. Alena gets the bunks away from everyone. “Last one here as always?” Natalie laughed. “Would you have me any other way?” I laughed. “Many other ways,” she chuckled, “Now hurry up and get your ass on the bus.” She added. Our cases were already on the bus, they got dropped off last night. “See you in Vegas,” I said heading on. I was met with Alena standing there awkwardly. She was looking around. “Alena? Are you OK? You look very lost,” I chuckled. “I think they stole the bunks you said I would sleep in.” she laughed “I told them not too. I will go tell them to move their asses.” I said. “No, it is OK. I don’t wanna be a pest.” She said, “As long as you don’t mind a bunk buddy?” she added laughing. “I am sure I can deal with that,” I laughed. There were two sets anyway. She giggled, tossing her things on the top bunk. “How do you entertain yourself on these buses?” she asked curiously sitting on the bottom bunk. “Movies, drinking, recording, sleeping, pool, game consoles,” I said. We always found ways to occupy ourselves. Some things I will not share with her. I do not think she would be too impressed with it. “No chance of being bored then?” she laughed. She seemed a lot more relaxed than when I saw her last. Maybe the nerves were away now. “Trust me, you will never get bored with us lot around,” I laughed. “I am sure I will not,” She smiled. She lay down on the bed, testing it out. They were actually extremely comfortable. Well, I think they were anyway. She smiled, nodding with approval. She looked like she never wanted to move. It was only six a.m. after all. “Go for a nap if you are tired, we have quite a long drive ahead of us,” I said. “No. I will be OK. Need coffee though. You have coffee, right? If not, I may need to quit already.” She said. I chuckled, motioning her to follow me. She looked at me strangely, wondering where I was taking her. That was until I said for coffee. Never seen someone move as quickly in my life. Wait until she actually sees the machine, she will freak. It is a big fancy thing that makes many different kinds. “Help yourself,” I said. She looked at the machine and then at me. Her brow raised and a wtf look on her face. “What the heck is that?” She said. “That is the coffee machine,” I laughed, “What the hell am I meant to do with that?” she said, “Can you not have a normal machine?” She added shaking her head. “What fun would that be?” I said, “Come, I will show you.” I added. I asked her what kind she wanted. The two of us standing at the machine and I showed her how to use it. Even when I was done showing her, she still looks confused. “Yeah, sorry dude. You will need to make my coffee for me like all the time.” She said, “Cause I sure as hell am not going to manage it. And me without coffee? That is not so good.” She added laughing. She will get the hang of it eventually, hopefully. I do not run after other people; people are usually running after me. “Come here. I will guide you through it.” I said. I took my place behind her, she tensed when I got close for a moment and then relaxed. I took her hands, putting them on the right parts of the machine and guided her through. She got all excited when she managed it. “Thank you,” she said looking over her shoulder at me. I have never this close to her but in being, so I never noticed how gorgeous those damn eyes of hers were. Both of us paused for a moment, her becoming nervous. I decided to pull away. I pulled away quickly, clearing my throat. I grabbed my coffee, heading over to sit at the table, Alena joining me…the others soon coming through to grab a coffee too, saying a quick hello and heading back to their bunks. They would sleep, they always do. She took a sip of her coffee, a soft groan falling from her lips as she did. “Good?” I laughed “Really good. Now I understand why you have a coffee machine from another planet.” She giggled. “Another planet? It isn’t that complicated.” I chuckled. “If you say so,” she laughed taking another sip. A comfortable silence fell between us as we drank our coffees. She seemed relaxed, which I was still trying to work out. Since any other time, I have seen her, she has been awkward and nervous. “You seem more relaxed now,” I said, “I feel more relaxed. Do not know why. Woke up this morning and felt that way.” She said, “I am more excited now.” She added. “Well, that’s good then,” I said. She smiled widely at me, nodding her head. I could not help but smile back at in the exact same way. It was refreshing to have a female around that was screaming at me. That was not hitting on me and that was not lecturing me, the way Natalie loves too. Alena may change within a matter of days when she sees exactly what happens on tour. I really hope it does not freak her out too much. “Ryker, do you mind if I take a few photos of the bus…of you? To get me started?” she asked. “That is fine. I am not going to stop you doing your job,” I said. “Good. Do me a favour, just act like you normally would without cameras around OK? I prefer the natural side of things.” She said. “I can try,” I laughed. “Don’t worry, you won’t know when it is happening.” She said. “I won’t? Should I be scared?” I chuckled. “As long as you don’t prance around naked or something, I am sure everything will be fine.” She giggled. After she said that, the blush I have seen many times crept on her cheeks. I smirked. The thought of me naked, made her blush. I was going to say a smartass comment but, in the end, decided not to. We were getting on well. She was relaxed, do not wanna change that again. “I will try not to,” I smirked. She laughed loudly, rolling her eyes, and finished off her coffee. She excused herself to go take photos of the tour bus. She can take what photos she like, but she will need permission from my team on what ones she is and is not allowed to use. I decided to go watch her, see how she works. She was sitting on her bunk, setting her camera up. I have only seen a little of her work, would be good to see her at work. “Can I watch?” I asked. “Um…yes if you like.” She smiled, “Just don’t distract me.” she added. “Yes mam,” I said. She gave me a small nod and got back to setting up her camera. I took my phone out to check while she did, see what was happening in the world of social media. Suddenly there was a small flash, making me look. Alena, sitting there smirking at me. “I was testing it out,” she shrugged. “If you insist,” I said. I had a feeling I would need to get used to this. Random photos of me being taken without having any notice. I like that though. Better than posed and acting for the camera. As long as it does not get too much or I may accidentally snap at her. I lifted my phone, snapping a photo of her on it. “Hey,” She said looking at me, “I was only testing it out,” I said mocking her words she used on me. “You better delete that. This is my job to take photos. You taking them, just makes you a creep.” She said laughing. I shrugged, smirking and walk away. I think she and I are going to have more fun than I first thought.
