His annoying mate!

1500 Words
“I can cover all the expenses for you to get rid of that baby” his words resonated in my head as I scrubbed the dishes in my hands, bitterly. Each time I thought about it, tears threatened to flow down my cheeks as his words pricked the already broken walls of my heart. How clingy she was with him and he didn’t seem to care that I was there. He wanted to pass on the message that I was no match for him, but he went too far. All through the night, I didn't sleep a wink. I kept asking myself if he ever did love me and above all_ how I would cope with my baby because I was most definitely not getting rid of it. I shamelessly wanted to keep his baby after what he had done. “Amaya hurry up and go deliver the orders!” Madam Isabella snapped at me from behind. I dared not scowl at her like I had done the day before. The news of the Alpha finding his mate was slowly spreading and I knew it was only going to take a little while before they found the opportunity to treat me badly again. “Yes Madame Isabella” I washed faster and when I was done, I took the list of orders made by the customer from Gary and began to prepare them. This had to be the worst part of my job because no matter how fast you’d think you are, you'd never be fast enough for Madame Isabella. After about 30 minutes, I attended to a total of 22 customers and I couldn't count how many times I had wiped the sweat off my forehead. My legs were numb and I was weary due to lack of sleep and the excruciating pain my head elicited. I was down to the last order and thankfully, it was just coffee. I took it in a tray and headed out. I strode to the table number I was given like a robot with not a single expression on my face. Madame Isabella had always reprimanded them to smile at the customers to make them feel comfortable. But how could I force my lips when there was this ache in my heart that prevented me from even breathing properly? “Here’s ….” I was about to speak but my mouth clamped shut when I realized who it was. Little miss perfect. Lucas’s mate. Leanne, the devil herself! Why did the moon goddess have to test me by bringing her here? I already felt bad and at the sight of her, I lost my brain cells. With the look on her face, it was apparent she was stunned to see me but not in a good way. “Here is your order ma’am,” I said with so much spite. I loathed her so much that each time I glanced at her, I had the impulse to smother her. She looked at the cup of coffee and then at me. Her eyebrows constricted in anger and disgust. “This isn’t what I ordered,” she flared, rather too loud for something as mild as that. “That was what was in the order list ma’am” I played it cool. I prayed deep down she'd not test me because I was ready to splash the cup of coffee on her pretty face and watch it slide down her perfect hair in satisfaction. “I never asked for cold coffee” “Well Gary was the one who took the order, not me” “Bullshit! Is this how things are done here?” she raised her voice more as she pushed the coffee away, but luckily it didn't tip over. It was just coffee, but my sweat and work were in there. Okay now she was overreacting and that drew the attention of Madame Isabella. The last thing Madame Isabella preferred in her restaurant was drama. “Is there a problem?” with the fake smile on her face and the way she spoke so softly, it was evident she perhaps knew she was the Alpha’s mate. Such a pretender! “I ordered some hot coffee and she got me this. This isn’t what I ordered for” “That’s alright, we will have a hot coffee fixed for you right away,” she said and turned to frown at me. I didn’t think twice before snatching the tray and matching it to the kitchen, fuming in anger as my hands clutched the tray tightly. “And what is the meaning of that!” she screamed at me when we were back in the kitchen. “Gary was the….” She didn’t let me finish. Her hand collided with my face_ so hard that it made the cup of coffee fly right out of my hand to the floor. My cheeks stung so badly that tears instantly went down my cheeks. “You disgusting Omega!” she spat out with a lot of disdain on her face. Why was I being reprimanded? She knew Gary took the orders, so why did she act so mean? “I am done with you. I don’t ever want to see you in this kitchen again!” she screamed at me before walking out I was ravaged. I couldn’t even cry because I didn’t know what exactly to cry about. How long had she been wanting to do this? It was no doubt the alpha was the only one protecting me from all this and now that he had a mate, my life was back to square one. With tears in my eyes. I grabbed my purse and ran out of the kitchen. I kept trying to stop the tears from falling as I walked, but I couldn’t. I felt dejected and neglected. Just outside the restaurant stood Leanne. I wiped the tears from my eyes almost immediately, but it was too late. She had already seen me crying. I could tell from the satisfied smirk she had on her face as she gazed at me. It was obvious she was just about to enter her car, but she slammed the door shut instead and walked towards me. Even though she had seen me cry, that didn’t prevent me from composing myself as she walked elegantly toward me. I wanted to give the impression that she couldn't break me. “It took me 5 good years to find my mate, I had no idea he spent half that time with you.” She shook her head. “A disgusting omega” Those words pierced my heart, causing more damage to it and I almost started crying again, but I tried to keep my cool. “The pack house cannot contain the both of us. You have to leave” “I am not going anywhere” I defended myself and watched as her lips moved up in a smirk. “We’ll see about that” with that, she turned to leave. Her last statement confused me a lot, but I chose to not read any meaning to it. ****** I didn’t want to go to the pack house after I had been fired from my job. I didn’t want to face the reality of me and Lucas being over. Plus, that pack house reminded me so much of the time I and Lucas had spent together. Throughout the day, I wandered around, but when night fell, I realized I couldn’t keep out any longer. I took a cab to the pack house and when the cab stopped, I could feel my heart in my throat. I couldn’t understand why I was so nervous. After paying the cab man, I started walking slowly towards the pack house, but as I walked, it seemed as though someone followed me because I could hear the mild footsteps behind me I halted as I quivered in fear. Slowly I turned to look around, but I didn’t find anybody. I turned back around with the hope of walking faster, but before I could take another step, someone kicked me from behind, sending me to the floor. I groaned in pain as I struggled to get up, but another person held me from behind while I struggled. With my head lifted, I could see the man who kicked me, but I couldn’t see his face because he was wearing a mask. “Help…” I tried to scream, but I was punched hard in the face. I was pretty sure I tasted blood. The man behind me managed to tame my struggling self by placing his arm around my neck as he squeezed tight. I struggled more because the harder he squeezed the harder it was for me to breathe. After some time, I couldn’t struggle anymore, I was slowly giving up. Before I passed out I was pretty sure I heard my attacker say “Leanne sends her greeting”
