I Want You

First week of School

My alarm went off at 6:30am I crawled out of bed and headed to my bathroom to shower before eating breakfast before school. I wore a baby blue silky shirt, light blue jeans, blue and white flats and my hair down. I made my way upstairs, my mom was already in the kitchen still in her pyjamas making french toast. "Hey hun, made you a good breakfast before your big day" she says putting french toast on a plate for me." Thanks mom." I smiled at her. I ate, made a coffee in a thermos mug and I was heading out the door. "Oh" my mom yells out to me. "Your father will be home today, we will do a BBQ for supper". "Sounds good. I'll see you after school" I reply closing the door behind me.

I picked up Jess at her house, as I always did last school year. She was waiting outside for me she was wearing a dark pink and white shirt, dark blue jeans, and pink and white shoes, her hair tied up in a high curly ponytail. She gets in my car "Morning" she says. "Morning ready to get this day over with" I reply smirking.

We get to school Zack and Austin are both already there standing by Austin's car talking. Jess runs over to Austin throwing her arms around his neck "Morning" she says giving him a kiss on the lips."Morning"he says kissing her back. Zack and I start walking towards the school doors leaving the two love birds have there moment. Zack and I had different homeroom's so we parted once we got to mine " I'll see you at lunch" Zack says since we don't have classes together in the morning. " See you then" I reply as I started walking into class. Jess, nor Austin were in my homeroom, but Jess was in my second period class. I looked around found a seat in the furthest row by the window 4 seats back. I watched the door to see if anyone I new was walking in. Negative, I recognized a few people but no one I really talked to. There was one girl who walked in, didn't remember her name but seen her around last year. She had short blonde hair, brown eyes, short and had  a nose ring. She sat in the row next to me a seat down. Then I noticed a guy with really dark hair almost black with blue eyes, walk in he seemed to notice me, and picked the seat next to me. "Hey" he says, "Hi" I reply. "I'm Nathan. Lucas's friend" I look at him wide eyed "Oh so you're the one asking for my number for him" "Yeah" he replies he wouldn't stop talking about you at the bon fire, before I took him home, he went looking for you again." I had a blank look on my face " Why?" I said "Not like we really talked much or anything?" " I know, but he said there was something about you, he seen you coming and he couldn't take his eyes off you, but I'll leave it at that" I couldn't say anything back I was in total shock and with that the bell rang, class has started.

The day seemed to pass slow, and I managed to not run into Lucas which was good. It was nice to have lunch with my crew. I had Zack in my class after lunch, then last period came finally I thought get through this last class then I can go home. The same girl with the short blonde hair was in my class, which didn't seem to notice me I take a seat near the front of the class, and just as the bells about to ring I seen Lucas walk in I feel myself getting red in the face and looking down to avoid eye contact.

Shit wonder if he noticed me I think to myself still trying to not look, but I can feel eyes on me I can't help but glimpse. Yup he totally noticed me  I quickly look away. s**t this day just got worse.

Class ended I waited til everyone had left the classroom including Lucas, I ran to my locker where Jess was waiting for me." Holy s**t Sam you look like you seen a ghost" she says jokingly. " Guess who's in my last period class" I say sighing. " Hahahahaha, no way" Jess replies. "That's so funny." "It's not funny" I said giving her a look. "I was hoping to completely avoid him" "Why? what's the big deal" "I don't know Jess, I can't explain it. I feel like he's a waste of time, but at the same time want to get to know him:" I can feel Jess's jaw drop when those words came out of my mouth. "Did you really just say that Sammy, you want to get to know a guy, I'm shocked" "Not like that Jess, just in a friendly way, you know I have no interest in guys in a serious way" I look at her with a serious expression. "I know, I don't really know Lucas that well he seems nice but also a trouble maker" she replies. I didn't say anything more we walked out of the school to my car Zack and Austin were outside waiting for us Jess gave Austin a hug. Zack was standing there with his hands in his pockets of his jeans. "Well first day done." he says looking at me. " I smile "yes, thank god, I'm exhausted". I reply. Zack smiles at me, I can feel my stress of Lucas melting away Zack always manages to make me feel better. "Well" he adds I'm heading home, I'll text you later Sammy we can meet up and do homework if you want." " Yeah sure, I'd like that" I smiled at him " I'll see you later" I replied walking back to my car. Jess and Austin were standing by his car talking

I'll wait for her in my car I thought unlocking my car doors. As I look up I noticed a black truck parked next to me s**t I though. I knew who's truck that was. The truck door opened and Lucas jumps out walking up to me "Hey" he says. "Hi" I reply not making eye contact. "So you're in my last period class I see" he says leaning on my car hood. "Seems that way" I reply. "Look, I know you heard I was looking for your phone number, I was just wondering if you wanted to go grab a coffee with me and talk a bit, I know the bon fire was not a good place to really talk to someone." " Who said I wanted to talk to you more" I said with a smirk on my face. "That look right there tells me otherwise" he said smiling at me. "I don't know what you heard about me Sam, but trust me I'm not a bad person nothing wrong with trying to make a new friend, we could all use one sometimes" and he walked away leaving me standing there speechless. He drove off as Jess was heading my way "Was that you and Lucas talking I seen" " Not the way you think" I replied giving a sigh. "He wants to be friends" "And what's wrong with that?" She adds. "Absolutely nothing, but he makes me feel something weird, anyway I don't want to talk about it anymore, time will tell I guess". With that I was driving out of the school parking lot.

I dropped Jess off home, and made me way home mom and dad were already starting to BBQ "Hey hun how was your first day back" mom asks from the kitchen. "You know how it is with first day mom, just glad to me home" I replied getting a bottle of water out of the fridge. "Supper will be ready soon" mom says giving my back a little rub. "Good I'm starved I'm going to change, I'll be right up to help set the table". Mom smiles at me before heading out to the back deck. I changed into a black t shirt and black and white leggings ahh comfy clothes I say to myself.

After having pork chops, potato salad and corn for supper I was stuffed I laid on my bed texting Zack :

Hey, if you still wanna met up you can come over, had a big supper I'm not moving

Hahahaha okay, no problem I'm heading there now Zack replies.

Zack and I sat on my bed doing some homework for about and hour and a half before he looked at the time "Ugh, I should probably be getting home" I smile at him "Yeah it's getting kinda late, I can't wait for the weekend". " Same" he replies, as he was getting up to pack his books back into his book bag. "I'll see you tomorrow" he adds as he's walking out my bedroom door "Bye" I reply.
