Chapter 3

847 Words
Everybody pours out of the building, as if there were all on their feet, waiting for that signal all this while. Frida, not knowing what the hell was going on, decided to follow them as well. Everybody kept on rushing and it was hard for her to catch up with them. About a ten minutes walk, they finally stopped in front of a very tall building, the tallest in the entire school, she thought. But then, she hasn't seen the entire school. Every student has put out his phone and his taking a video, not caring about the blinding sun. Frida used the package to block the sun so as to see what exactly they are trying to take a picture of and then she saw it. High on top of the building is somebody and it looks like he is trying to fall down or something. "Hey! This guy is about to fall down, someone stop him" she cautioned. Some of the students close to her turned. "Help him" she says. "We won't" someone answers. "Why is that?" she couldn't help but ask. "You do it if you can and then you'll be the next one dead" he says and then turns, completely ignoring her existence. "Hey! Watch out, you are going to fall from there" she screams out. "What is this girl doing here?... Get here out of here... She should have been given one as well..." the students kept on echoing. What kind of human beings are they?. She searched and then she spotted the entrance to the building. She rushed over and luckily, she found the stairs. It took her forever to finally reach the top of the building. Breathing heavily, like someone who just ran the marathon, she open the door to the roof top. He was still standing there. Why hasn't he still jumped down?. Or maybe she was the one who thought he was gonna. She felt sort of stupid for a second and turned to leave but then she spotted something awkward. His shirt has been torn off from the back and there is a trail of blood on his back. And just from the corner of her eyes, she saw some other students taking a picture of him from the top. "Hey, what do you think you are doing?" she calls out on them. All their attention turns to her. "What are you doing here, are you also ready to die?" one of the guys asks, standing up from his squatting position. He looks so huge now, so huge that he is covering her shadow. To say that she is terrified is an understatement of the year but she still kept her bold face. "What do you think you are doing to him?" she questions. "Why don't you ask him yourself" he says, smirking at her. They all started moving close to her, blocking her from all sides. "Hey, don't you take a step closer to me" she threatened. For a minute there, she thought they were going to come close but they stopped. She turned and walked over to the boy standing by the roof top. "Hey there, what are you doing?" she asks him. He turns to her. "I should be asking you the same question miss, what are you doing here, you are not supposed to be here, get out" he screams at her. Well that's rude. "Well, that's rude of you to say you know, I am just trying to help, that's all" she says in a sad tune. "Well...well...I...I...am really sorry, I didn't mean it like that but still, you are not supposed to be here" he apologized. "Are you new here?" he asks. "No, just came by to drop a package for a certain Mr Roy" she answers. "That's strange" he murmurs but she still heard. "What's strange?" she asks. "Well, that's my name and I remembered sending my uniform for dry cleaning earlier, don't worry, you can keep the clothes or send them to my parents address, I've already transferred the money to your account" he answers. They even have a business account, nobody has ever told her that. "I don't know you parents address first and then secondly, why don't you get down so that we can discuss what's going on with you" she says. He huffed. "You wanna know what's going on with me, you wanna know?" he screams, going back to his aggressive nature already. "Well, this school is the problem, it has always been" he says. "But it looks good to me" she says. "To you it might seem good but it is nothing but a hell hole, nothing good happens in it, so it's better I die than live a second more here" he says. "Don't talk like that, if these guys were the ones bullying you then..." She turned for a split second and back and he is not there where he was standing and he is about to jump. "NO! STOP" but it's already late as he has already jumped off the roof top.
