His Undesired Mate

Chapter : 9. Night howl..

The rest of the day went pretty nicely. Everything was normal during the day as we all ate some food we made in the campfire and went on a hike together. I have succeeded in overcoming my fear in front of the few friends I am here with. Now I can talk casually, laugh or hangout with them without any trouble. None of those crazy panic attacks hit me again and I think I am finally came out of that stage I locked myself in before. Brandon was right. I was too tired and needed this break very much.

But in between all this, I noticed that Luka’s girlfriend, whom I don’t know that well, looking at me like I did something wrong to her. She is being a b***h the entire day, and she refused to work while all of us were doing our parts to help each other. But we made an exception for her because she was new among us. But why is she keeps staring at me in that way? Does Luka tell her something wrong about me? I also noticed that the closeness they were sharing before has now turned into avoiding each other more. What happend in between them?

At night, we decided to finishing our dinner early and go to sleep because everyone was tired by the entire day’s work. Or should I say, they wanted to begin their own adventures inside the tent soon. So, we started picking our tents one by one. I chose the tent that was a little far from others because I don’t want to hear their moans and gruntings whole night. But surprisingly, Gloria also tried to enter my tent with me.

“What are you doing?” I asked her in shock.

“What? I want to sleep too. I am tired.”

“Exactly. Go to your own tent and sleep.”

“What do you mean? I am in my own tent.”

“No. Your tent is that one with Brandon. This is mine.” I showed her the tent right beside me, which Brandon chose himself.

“Are you joking right now? Why would I sleep there? I am not going to let you sleep alone in this place.”

“Gloria. I am not a baby. I can take care of myself. And I don’t think you want to leave Brandon alone at a time like this. He needs you more.” I said with a wink to make her understand what I meant. The blush on her face told me that she is also waiting for an opportunity like that.

“But, how can I..”

“I will be fine. Stop worrying about me. If I need something, I will definitely call you guys. Now go and enjoy yourselves.” I said to her and pushed her out of the tent. She also passed me a smile and went to sleep with Brandon in one tent.

I closed the front of my tent as everyone was already inside their tents. Putting my head down on an inflated pillow, I closed my eyes to fall asleep. Like I was expecting, a few minutes later the entire place got filled with low moan and gruntings. The sound was very low, but thanks to my new hearing power that it came into my ears way too loud. I don’t know how am I going to survive through this inappropriate noises in the middle of a quiet forest.

As I was thinking this, a lone howl echoed through the entire forest, and reached into my ears to shake me from the core. My ears got perked up to hear the sound again, but it never repeated itself. I am not sure who made that howl, but I think it was a wolf’s howl. So, that means there are wolves in this forest. But the weird thing is, why there wasn’t any more sound? Why was it only one howl? Even though I have never spent a night in a forest, but according to my knowledge, wolves howl together at night. It’s their nature to follow each other. Then why was it only one?

For some unknown reason, my mind went towards that howl, taking off my head from everything that was happening around me. I was completely drowned in the thought of it. I never thought that a simple animal sound can make me so absent minded. There was something special about that sound. It didn’t make me feel insecure or scared to think that we are spending a night in a forest that is filled with probably nothing other than just wolves, even though I know that wolves can be dangerous and kill us as well. Instead, my heart was telling me to go towards that creature. Witness its beauty with my own eyes. I am truly getting weirder day by day.

I was so submerged in these thoughts that I didn’t notice when someone entered my tent and lay down beside me. The moment a hand fell on my waist, I jumped up in scare. My entire body got goosebumps as I slide my body away from that person in fear. And in the next moment, I found out in the bright light of the moon that it’s none other than Luka.

“How dare you to enter my tent without my permission? Get out right now or I am going to..” Before I can finish my words, he put his palm on my mouth.

“Can’t you relax for a second? What is wrong with you? Who do you think you are? Girls fight each other to get my touch. And you are refusing it when I am offering it to you myself. What are you made of that you already turned 18 and you still want to stay a virgin? Enjoy your life. Find the perks of being an attractive woman. I am giving you the opportunity to glow up. So co-operate..”

He didn’t let go of my mouth and started giving me open mouth kisses on my neck. I felt dirty myself from every touch of his. So, I tried to push him away. But the more I push him, the more closer he pulls my body to him. Soon his hands started roaming on my body, touching my private parts. And for some reason, it was giving me pain. I couldn’t understand what was going on. Why every place he put his hand on, was giving me pain like he just put pressure on my previous wound? My body was getting warm and my stomach was aching and giving me an irritating feeling. And all of it together was making me hell angry.

I was trying to find and explainable reason for such abnormal feelings of my body, when Luka grabbed my breast with his free hand. It instantly send a spark through my body, which completely took my senses away. I don’t know how, I made that same growling noise again while he was still covering my mouth. Hearing such a weird noise, he looked up at me and, in an instant, his face became pale. His hand slipped down from my mouth and he started crawling backwards when I let out another loud growl.

Even though it was me who was making those sounds, but I wasn’t doing it at all. I can see everything, hear everything, and feel everything. But I had no control over my body. It seemed like someone else was controlling my body from inside. I saw that somehow I stood up from my place and started walking towards him while he crawled away until the end of the tent. He was horrified to see my face. But I was too angry at him for touching my body. So, I grabbed him by his neck and made him stand up.

“How dare you to touch us? We don’t belong to you. We belong to our mate, who is waiting for us. You have to pay for this mistake. I will kill you for touching us without our will.” I swear that I have no idea where that came from. I mean, I know that it came out of my mouth, but I don’t know how or why I said that. I don’t even know what it means by mate. What is happening to me?

“I.. I’m sorry.. I’m sorry.. Please let me go. Please don’t kill me.. I will never do it again. I promise.. Please let me go.” He started crying and begging to let him go. I also don’t want to hurt him. But I had no control over my body to let go of his neck.

“There is no mercy for what you did. You have to get the punishment.” With this word, I threw him to a side of the tent with my unhuman strength, which made him rip the tent and fall outside.

“What is going on in here?” Hearing our sound, everyone came out of the tent. And when they came out, they saw me acting like a crazy while Luka was laying in the ground groaning in pain.

“You bitch.. What did you do to my boyfriend?” The girl Luka came here with ran to him and accused me of hurting her boyfriend.

“She.. She is a monster.. She is trying to kill me.” Luka spoke up in fear. But the name monster fueled my anger more. But somehow, I tried to control myself because I don’t want to prove to everyone that I am truly a monster.

“Shut the fu*k up, Luca. Who the hell gave you the permission to call an innocent girl as a monster. You know her well. She is the sweetest girl of our entire university.” Brandon spoke up for my support. But that didn’t help me at all against the fear that was plastered on his face.

“You ave no idea who she is. She is a witch. She is here to kill all of us. I have seen it. I have seen her change her eye color in an instant. And her strength. A normal human can never have that much strength. I am telling you. Hazal was right. She is here to kill us and take our power. Maybe that is why she brought us here in the first place.” I was amazed by Luka’s words. Yes, I know that I can make weird noise or have more power than a normal girl. But how can he say that I can change the color of my eyes? That is impossible. I have never done something like that. It’s a completely false accusation.

“Stop your s**t. Stop pretending to be a victim when you saw that you are about to get caught. I know what you were trying to do. I know what you did before, too. So, before I tell that to everyone, speak up..” Gloria is the one who started the right topic.

“What.. What are you talking about? I don’t know anything about what you are talking.” Like the sneaky baster he is, he completely denied his fault.

“Really? Then what were you doing here in the first place?” By Gloria’s proper questions, Luka started shuttering to answer.

“I.. I was outside, going to the bathroom. I was passing from here when I heard some weird noises inside her tent. Maybe she was chanting some spells or something. But as a friend, I went to check on her when she attacked me. She started choking me by my neck and kept saying that she is going to kill me. I swear that I didn’t do anything to her.” He made a perfect excuse to hide his fault. I was stunned to see how quick a man can change his colors like a cameleon.

“And you expect us to believe in you? I know what you were doing here. I know what you did to her when you took her to gather woods. And I know how low you can get because I got proof of your nature when you offered me to sleep with you.” Bandon and I both got shocked to hear that. Gloria never said anything to us about Luka and her encounter before. I always noticed that she had a problem with him, but never imagined that this would be the reason. What exactly happend in between them back then?
