Alpha Lucas POVs
My heart pounded as I raced through the dense forest, his keen senses of high alert. He and his army has been searching for his mate for hours, ever since he had received the distressing news that she was missing. He couldn’t bear the thought of losing her, not when she was carrying their child.
As I ran, I sniffed the air, searching for any trace of her scent. I caught a whiff of her parfumed mixed with the scent of blood and my stomach twisted with fear. I quickened my pace, My wolf instincts taking over as I tracked her scent.
I ran as fast as I could towards the scent of my luna, my heart pounding in my chest as I caugh sighe of the scattered blood on the grass. A brown coat stained with blood and old suitcase surrounded by scattered clothes lay on the ground. But where as my luna? Where was my child? My whole body trembled with fear and uncertainly, where could they be?
My heart still pounded as I surveyed the scene .My keen senses told me that the scent of my mate was fresh, but the blood on the floor and the disarray of clothing indicated a struggle. My mind raced with fear and anger as I wondered what had happened to her and my unborn child.
My heart was still racing as memories flooded back to me, replaying the terrible events that had befallen us apart. It happened during my training session with the pack, We are running laps around the hill. That’s when my luna linked me, telling me she wanted to go for a walk and enjoy the beautifull spring flowers blooming on the other side of the hill. I allowed her to go not realizing the danger that awaited her. Why did I let my seven month pregnant wife go alone? What happened to her? Did she met an enemy and get hurt n a fight? These thoughts haunted me, adding to my growing fear.
I tried to push the dark thoughts aside and focused on finding any sign of my luna. I followed the trail of blood and search every possible hiding spot she could have taken. I ran to every corner of the forest, calling out her name, hoping for response. But there was nothing, just silence that made me feel even more alone.
As the sky began to darken, my desperation grew harder. I had to find her. I had to save my luna and my unborn child. I prayed to my goddess moon begging for guidance to lead me to them. Then, I notice an unusual trail on the ground, like a human footprints. I followed the trail, running and running until I came across a large cave. I entered it, searching for any signs of my Luna. I walked deeper, passing through dark and narrow passageways. Finaly, I saw a shadow in the distance
I saw the silhouette of a woman pressing down on the body of my Luna and a baby wrapped in
A blue towel lying silent. My heart boiled with anger. It turned out that this human woman was the one who hurt my luna and my baby. I will kill her… I will definitely kill this human witch. I quickly moved forward to stop everything that this human woman was doing.
"Stop it! What are you doing? Don't you dare hurt my mate and child. Get away from them! Don't you dare hurt them!" I yell with a furious voice, my heart pounding with anger and fear. I rush towards the scene, desperate to protect Leah and our unborn child from any harm.
The woman, engrossed in her attempts to revive Leah, momentarily glances up at me, her eyes filled with determination. "I can't stop. If I stop, her breath will stop too. Who are you? Why are you accusing me of hurting them? Are you blind? I'm not hurting them. I'm trying to save Leah's life," she retorts, her voice filled with frustration.
I take a few steps closer, my eyes fixed on her, anger fueling my words. "You expect me to believe that? You come out of nowhere,
handling Leah's lifeless body, and you expect me to trust you? How do I know you're not the one who put her in this state?"
The woman's face flushes with indignation, her eyes narrowing as she defends her actions. "Believe what you want, but I found her like this. She was unconscious, barely breathing. I didn't have time to explain myself to you. I had to act quickly to save her."
I clench my fists, my voice dripping with accusation. "Save her? How do I know you're not just pretending to help her? You could be using this situation to your advantage, to get close to my wife and our child."
" You are insane.. I don't have time to have a nonsense chitchat with you. If you want to save your wife, just shut your mouth up ! " she spats at me and continues to press on Leah's chest.
I approached and realized that she was indeed sweating profusely as she worked to save my mate life. As I looked closer, I saw my son lying peacefully next to her.
My emotions were all over the place. I was confused, relieved and gratefull all at the same time.I stood there, frozen, watching her press on Leah's chest to try and revive her, but Leah remained still. I didn't know what to do or how to react. Was Leah really gone? Was there anything that could be done? The silence was deafening, broken only by the sound of the woman's efforts to save Leah's life. I felt numb, confused, and overwhelmed all at once.
“ Come on Leah ! Come back to me ! Breathe, don't leave your baby. You're a fighter, you are a Luna. You can make it through this. You said earlier that you could withstand all the pain, so why give up now?" The woman continued to pump Leah's chest with urgency, her voice filled with desperation and determination.
As I saw the woman's relentless effort to revive Leah's breath, I knelt down beside this woman nag talk to my mate
"Leah, come back to me. Don't leave me. You can do this. Breathe again. Don't leave me. I can't live without you. What about our child? Who will take care of him? Please Leah... Please." My voice faded as my tears streamed down my cheeks, trying to hold back my emotions.
As Leah opened her eyes, she looked at me with a soft gaze that was both filled with love and unbearable pain. I could see that she was struggling to breathe and her chest heaved up and down with each labored breath. Tears welled up in my eyes as I held her hand tightly, desperate for her to hold on to me.
"Leah, please don't leave me," I cried out, my voice shaking with emotion. "I can't live without you. Our child needs you. Please, fight this. You're strong, I know you can do it." My heart ached as I watched her struggle, feeling helpless and powerless to do anything but hold her hand and pray for a miracle.
Leah's hand squeezed mine tightly. She was too weak to speak, but she just smiled and said "I love you" without making a sound. I responded, my voice shaking with emotion, "I love you too". "Please Leah... Please stay with me," I begged, my heart pounding in my chest. I couldn't bear the thought of losing her, not after all we had been through together, especially after just welcoming our new baby into the world.
Must I lose my precious Luna so soon? Must our love story come to an end like this?
