"your daughter has stolen my one and only son's heart. who is the crown Prince of this kingdom. My son loves your daughter and want to make her his wife and queen," The king's words ringing in her mind like a broken .
"what??" Ram and Nandani both asked in unison.
"yes Prince Agni is in love with Maithali and I also like her as my daughter in law. She has all the qualities to be a queen," The king said with a happy smile .
"it's our good karma that Prince Agni love our daughter. He wants to marry her. We will be the luckiest parents in this kingdom," Ram said .
"Prince Agni you are sure right that you want her?" Nandani asked him .
"I am 200% sure about my feelings for her. I really love her and want to marry her." Prince Agni said with a shy smile on his face .
"why are you not saying anything Maithali?" the kind asked her .
Maithali is feeling numb because she can't believe what is happening with her And that too now.
"I am sorry my highness. But I can't marry Prince Agni. I am no match for him. He will get better girl than me. I am sorry." Maithali said and ran away from the royal court .
"I am sorry your majesty for my daughter's behaviour. She is immature. I will talk to her," Nandani said .
"can I talk to her alone? I promise I will not pressurize her or manipulate her." Prince Agni said .
"yes Prince you can but I don't think she will agree. Because if once she say no to something it's practically impossible for someone to make her agree," Ram said knowing that his daughter will never agree for it.
"thanks for the advice but let me try once If I failed then I will not pressurise her," Prince Agni said and left the Royal Court.
Maithali is standing near the Royal garden. Her mind is fully messed up. All the things is not making sense to her. She doesn't want to give Prince some hope that she can't fulfil.
"Maithali," Princess Maya called her name .
"Maya I am sorry for hurting Prince's emotions but I can't, I really can't," Maithali said .
"shh! I am not here to confront you about your rejection. I know if you have rejected him then it has a reason because no one will reject my brother without any reason. He is smart, handsome, well educated and a pro in fighting with every weapon. Now tell me Maithali what is your reason, " Princess Maya asked her .
" because I don't love him nor I can, I don't want to cheat him by anyways. If I marry him but I can't love him and if I fell for someone else it's also cheating, "Maithali answers her .
" ok do you love someone else? "Prince Agni asked making both of them startled.
" bhai it's not good to over hear someone's talk. Something called privacy is there you know that right? "Princess Maya asked her brother .
" I know that sister but when you both are talking something private then you should do it in a closed room ….not in the garden where anyone can hear your private talks, "Prince Agni said in a mocking tone .
" whatever it is but still you should not, "Princess Maya argued .
" you have not answered my question Maithali do you love someone else? You can tell me without any fear, I won't tell anyone, "Prince Agni said .
" it's not like that Prince. Why I have to love someone to reject someone? Can't I take my life's decisions? "Maithali asked him .
" I didn't mean that Maithali. Don't take me wrong, I am just curious why you rejected my proposal? "Prince Agni said .

" please Maithali don't do this. You don't have to be formal. I am here to just talk nothing else. can't I get a chance to prove my love for you? "Prince Agni said.

Maithali feel bad for him because she is not blind to not see the real love in his eyes. And the thing that the Prince is not a womaniser like most of the royal men are isn't helping her.

She knows her brother's feelings towards her friend but she can't do injustice to her friend as well .
