Maithali is pacing around in her room back and forth. She doesn't know how to tell her parents that the king wanted to meet them. She is afraid that she will be punished for something or she will be banned from the Palace but why her parents?
"Maithali pacing around back and forth will not help you so you better tell them once they are back," Maithali told herself
She saw that the moon is glowing and giving a glorious look into the night sky that if filled with stars. The moon has a special place in her heart. Maybe because her kingdom name is Chandrapuri that's why?
Suddenly she felt like her neck is itching for some reason. She touched the place but some visions came in her mind. She closed her eyes and saw that one girl is running because a man is behind her. He is not a threat because they both are laughing. Suddenly the girl fell and the boy was on her top. They both are about kiss but she opened her eyes. She gasped because the girl is none other than she herself and the boy whom she doesn't know. She is shocked because how can she kiss some stranger? And how can she see that? Her head started to hurt. She clutched it and fell unconscious.
Few hours later she got her consciousness back and saw that her parents are back. And her mother Nandani is crying.
"what happen ma? why are crying?" Maithali asked her mother.
"Maithali are you OK my child? How did you get unconscious?" Nandani asked her.
Maithali tried to remember what happened to her but she could not remember it.
"I don't know what happened to me, where was I ?" Maithali said.
"beta (child) you were lying unconscious on the floor beside the window." Her father Ram said.
"I don't remember anything." Maithali said sadly.
"don't give pressure to your brain. It's OK. We can talk about it later." Nandani said.
"ma Ma.. Princess Maya came to inform me that the king wants to meet us. I told her that we will go and meet him tomorrow," Maithali said without looking at them .
"OK we will go tomorrow but for now take a rest." Nandani said and made her sleep .
Nandani and Ram came outside of her Room.
"why didn't you tell her that she has a mark on her neck and that was glowing when we find her unconscious?" Nandani asked her husband Ram .
"she is only 19 Nandani she won't understand these things and will freak out. We can't tell her that she had powers inside her. The king himself has told us about it because he is aware of these supernatural stuff." Ram said .
"that's why I fear that she will be snatched from us I don't want her getting snatched from us. She is my only daughter," Nandani said crying.
Ram hugged his wife to console her. How will he tell her that Maithali is not their own daughter. And she had a big mission ahead to complete. He thought and sighed .
" Nandanii we should sleep now. Tomorrow we have to go to the Royal Court." Ram said and Nandani nodded.
They both slept with the thoughts of their own. Next morning they got ready to meet the king. And Maithali was feeling something's not right. Like something it's not good. Or something bad is going to happen. But she didn't voiced her thoughts knowing how her mother Is. If she will tell her about her gut feeling then her mother will panic and she doesn't want that.
"why do you think King called us Maithali? You have not done anything right?" Nandani asked her when they all had almost reached the Palace .
"no ma I have not done anything and I don't even know why he summoned us," Maithali said with a shrug .
"Nandani our daughter can't do anything wrong. And she is not a person who will hurt anyone by physically or verbally. Nor she will disrespect anyone. Have some faith on our daughter." Ram said and Maithali silently thanked him for not doubting her.
"I know that but still. OK fine I won't say her anything," Nandani said .
"Sarpanch ji (head of the village) come with me the king is waiting for you and your family," The minister of King said .
They all nodded their head and the minister took them to the King where all royal family members are present with the ministers as well.
" your majesty Sarpanch Ram has came with his wife and daughter, "the minister said bowing his head in front of King Arvind .
" your majesty has my daughter done anything that you have called us? "Nandani asked the king .
" Yes Nandani Devi (Devi means lady here), your daughter has committed something and I am really upset by her deed, "The king said sadly.
Maithali got tensed because of it. What did I do? She thought .
" but your majesty what i have done? I don't remember that I did anything inappropriate, " Maithali said without any fear .
The royal blood in her make her fearless and bold in required situations.
"I know you don't know anything but stealing something precious is really inappropriate," The king said and Maithali's eyes wide in shock.
"what are you saying your majesty? Me and stealing? You must be mistaken. I didn't steal anything," Maithali said .
"yes my lord my daughter can't steal anything. She is not a greedy person to do so and I have faith on my daughter," Ram says .
"I know that she is not greedy to steal anything but she has stolen this without her knowledge and too with her innocence," The king said making them all confused .
"will you please clear it your majesty. We can't understand what you are trying to say," Nandani said .
"your daughter has stolen my one and only son's heart. who is the crown Prince of this kingdom. My son loves your daughter and want to make her his wife and queen," The king said and it's like someone threw cold water on Maithali..
