Ally stopped breathing for a second after hearing his words. What he said didn't turn her on. It scared her to death. Because if what he was saying was really the truth, then the life she was seeing ahead was nothing more than of a mindless, soulless s*x slave. An object, a pleasure toy for him to use whenever he deemed appropriate.Ally turned around giving her back to him, looked for the main door. When she couldn’t distinguish the main one, she dumped all the sanity in trash and started running at her fastest pace possible towards the source of sunlight. Even though somewhere in her mind she knew that her attempts were futile, she couldn't stop trying, but before she could cross even a quarter of the distance, the door instantly closed shut and Elijah appeared right in front of it.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk...” he shook his head at her in disappointment, "I'm getting tired of your repetitive attempts at running away from me. I actually thought that you were smarter than this."
In that moment, Ally had two options. Either stay scared like a lamb and freaked the heck out of her mind and go down fighting and crying the hell out when he attacks her, or pour out every confusion, every frustration, every freaking feeling that had been haunting her since the moment she woke up and go down fighting and crying the hell out when he attacks her. Even though both of the options were giving pretty much the same results, because even she wasn't that stupid to not get a hint that she was no match to him in strength or power, the second option was truthfully more appealing to her self-respect and ego. So she went with it,
"Are you going to rape me?” Ally seethed in anger. "Because in everyone's opinion other than psychotic crazies and mindless, cruel scums, if a lady refuses to have s*x with you, it counts as a rejection."
His heart instantly burned in anger at her words. His pupils turned completely red and the whites in his eyes became black.
Incubus' were known as fallen angels of haven, saying that Ally's words irked Elijah would be an understatement, because her words weren't irritating, they were downright insulting. And when an incubus' feelings were poked, let's just say it was a sight that you might want to avoid for your own visual and mental sanity. Ally was definitely not ready for that sight of him, but she was making it hard for him to control the shifting.
He thundered towards her as a growl ripped out of his chest, "If I had intended to rape you, don't you think I wouldn't have bothered to pay three hundred thousand to those idiots for you?"
Ally stood shivering in fear as she saw the monster in front of her. She was terrorised. His eyes were scarier than a nightmare, like burning pits of hell in black holes glaring at you, waiting for you to fall in them, to relish burning your soul mercilessly for an eternity.
As he spoke, he kept storming towards her, and didn't stop. He kept coming at her until she was forced to stumble back to avoid collision with him. He didn't stop walking forward until she was plastered to the wall behind her staring at him in terror as he continued,
"The only reason I've brought you here and am trying to give my best at making you understand is that although I am an incubus, I might just be the only best person that you would have been lucky to get sold to instead of the unknown crazy bastards standing for your auction. Do you know that one of them keeps his Keeps as some dog, chained to a pole with iron leashes in their necks, to satisfy his hunger whenever he wants? And another one of them is a known fugitive who has committed thousands of assassinations? I may have brought you because I want to satisfy my hunger like everyone else out there who is considered alive and have an appetite for food, but I'm far, far better than the people standing in that field that your boyfriend was happy to sell you to." He shouted the last words as he slammed both of his hands on the wall beside her head.
Ally's heart was sinking with every word that fell out of his mouth. Her life had taken a straight dive in to hell in just a few hours, and the hell wasn't even of the same plane or time zone.
Elijah's face was just a breath away from her when he finished his words, his breath falling over her face as she stared up him.
"Then let me go.” She whispered with hope in her eyes. "If you are a good person and you just wanted to save me from some bad people, then set me free. I don't belong here, I don't want to be here. I just want to go back to my life where I mostly eat takeout and read crazy awesome books. Where maybe I can find a book about how to kill an ex-boyfriend named Neil in the most painful way possible and get away with it."
His eyes slowly turned back to normal at her words. The anger left his body when he stared at her. It would have been a miracle if her knees would have been able to help her body stand straight after seeing his partial incubus shift, even most of the otherworlders pissed their pants after seeing an incubus' eyes, here she was standing in front of him, maybe a little scared, but talking to him like it was a thing that she saw every day.
"Will you?” she asked again.
He bent his head down, touched his forehead with hers, stared right into her beautiful glassy, brown eyes, and replied, "I never said I am a good person, sweetheart."
