Chapter Sixteen

"You sure are dumb feya, I'm telling you, you won't stand a chance." Kio chuckled and waved his hand, with a single wave, a guy with short messy brown hair and red eyes appeared beside him.

The guy was around 6'2, With a decent strong frame. The guy looked over at me and smirked. "So your the one challenging me huh?" I took a deep breath. "Your Marcus?" The guy nodded.

Before I could say anything, Jade, Ash, Miles, and Cole all appeared within the training room. It felt like suddenly the room was thick with tension, I heard cole sigh and mutter something under his breath.

Clenching my fists tightly, but before I could react, in a flash, Marcus sped towards me, and landed a quick punch.

I winced in pain, and stumbled back, but didn't fall. Already?! Just then I heard Jade yell out. "Hit his vital spots Faya!" My eyes widened, she was helping me?? Just then Kio glared at Jade, walked over and kneed her in the gut. "Shut it. No helping!"

I glared at kio. As Marcus lunged at me again, before I could stop myself, I ran towards Kio. Marcus wasn't the problem, he didn't kill billions. He wasn't the issue. Kio was!

Before anyone could blink, using Ash's technique of pure speed, I landed a brutal right hook on Kio. He stumbled back wide eyed, everyone froze. It took a moment, but as Kio took a hand from his face, he seen blood on his hand, a few drops of blood dropped down from his chin.

Everyone froze and I heard miles remark, "wow, She made him bleed! I don't think anyone's done that before!" "They haven't" Cole replied, his voice cold and calculated. Kio glared at me, and I noticed his hand shake, he... Was scared?

"You b***h, I'll kill you!" Kio attacked me and before I could defend he'd pinned me to the ground, I felt him hit me again and again, it hurt horribly, I tried to push him off but couldn't, and I heard others yell and scream for him to stop. I'd always done all I could, to save humanity, and for one foolish mistake made of pure emotion, it'd cost not just my life, but all humanities too...

"Faya... Faya!! Wake up!" I heard someone shout, yet... Their voice was so far, it was Jade, I could hear her voice, feel her small hands shaking me hard.

Slowly, my eyes fluttered open, and I looked at her with confusion. "A-am I dead?" I whispered. Looking up I seen, Jade, miles, Ash, and Marcus looking down at me with worried faces.

"No... We thought you would be, Kio beat the s**t out of you!" I sighed and sat up, wincing in pain. "wha- why'd he stop? I thought he'd kill me..." I whispered, so confused, my throat hurt, probably from being hit.

"Cole pulled him off you and they teleported to god knows where." My eyes widened. Cole said he'd be on the winning side, it was clear I was loosing, he knew he was no match for him so why would he go after Kio alone!?

I quickly stood up. "Wait, your still hurt-" Jade tried to stop me, but I pushed her away. "I can't let them kill eachother." I said, with a snap, I vanished. There was only one spot I could think they might go, and if I was wrong, then they might both be in huge trouble.
