Chapter Thirty-Three

"I don't know why you insist i come with you, what about leah?"

"Are you nuts? I don't want her to find out the boys are still at the game booth at this hour, alone."

"Relax, it's just seven pm."

"Exactly, time for their dinner."

"Why are they alone though?" Liam asked

"It's leah's birthday a day after tomorrow, I'm preparing a surprise birthday party for her."

Liam paused, he looked at his brother and laughed hard. "Who would have thought you would be this smitten over a woman. And to top it all up, with a woman two years older than you."

"Does it matter? I love her."

"It's doesn't matter bro, love doesn't care about our....." liam paused and stepped on the brakes so hard, xander almost hit the dashboard with his nose.

"What the f**k bro! Are you trying to kill me?" Xander asked, he noticed liam was staring at something that made him so angry. Tracing his line of sight, xander saw james kissing victoria.

"Tori, Tori, Tori." liam whispered her name as he looked away and gripped the stirring wheel.

"Okay, I'm driving." Xander said and came out of the truck. He was just about to turn around when liam stormed out and heading their way.

Victoria had managed to push James back; "Why the hell would you do that?!" she yelled, liam stopped in his tracks. James opened his mouth to say something but stopped when his gaze landed on liam. Victoria turned around and saw liam, her heart did a double flip inside her chest. "Li..liam."

"You reek of alcohol. Let's go." liam said

"She's with me Hilton."

"She's not yours, she's mine, stay away from her."

"Let the lady decide."

"She's drunk."

"I'm not drunk, the two of you can go to hell!"

Victoria said and began to walk away, James followed her and held her hand.

"Victoria."

"Don't touch me! I just need to go home and sleep, this never happened, okay." She walked away.

But shortly after, Xander blocked her way; "You can't walk home in those shoes, let me take you." he said

Victoria sighed and nodded, she followed him to the truck and slid into the back seat. Liam got in and they drove off, leaving James feeling stupid, he knew he had done a silly thing.

An hour later, liam took victoria home, after he had dropped off xander and the kids. Getting to the front of her porch, he pulled over and turned off the car. He turned to look at her, only to see her fast asleep;

"What were you thinking drinking with him?" he muttered, then he alighted. "Thankfully, i've still got a spare key." He carried her in his arms like a baby, opened the door and took her straight to her bedroom. He dropped her on her bed, took off her shoes and covered her up, just as he was about to leave, he heard her say;

"You're such a coward liam."
