Chapter 7 will you go on a date

Anna’s P.O.V   When class was finally over we each went our separate ways as we had different classes together, Jessica had gym, Toby had science and I had spanish class, which I was kind of looking forward to as I liked learning a new language, plus it would help me when I went travelling. I already had a map at home with all the countries I wanted to visit and Spain, England and New Zealand were at the top of the list. When school was finally over we met up after school and went to Sheik for lunch, which was only a ten minute walk away from school so it was really handy, but it also served amazing, mouth watering food. I ordered a steak in a sack and so did Jessica and Toby, a few minutes later more kids from our school came in to order food. I watched as Lisa and Shelly whispered to each other while looking over at us and I wondered what they were talking about, but I guess I wouldn't have long to find out as Shelly walked over to us and stood in front of Toby.    “Toby, if you don't have anything planned for tonight, do you maybe want to go to a movie?” Shelly asked and Toby stopped mid bite of his sack. He took the food away from his mouth and then straightened up, turning to face Shelly.   “I thought you would never ask, I’ll pick you up tonight at eight. Here, write your address down and I'll see you then.” Toby replied, smiling brightly at Shelly and she quickly hurried to write her address down before handing it back to Toby.   “I’ll be there at eight.” Toby said, winking at her as he placed the piece of paper in his pocket. Shelly blushed and smiled as she went back over to Lisa to order their food. I knew straight away that they were mates as soon as he looked at her, but Jessica was a little surprised.    “I thought you said you would never have a human as your mate and you would reject her on the spot.” Jessica asked and she sounded a bit jealous. I knew that she didn't like Toby in that way, but she wanted to be part of our world and Toby had said that in the past because of the run-ins he had with human girls.   “I’ll see how she does at the movies tonight. If she acts like a lady and doesn't try to jump my bones or flirt with any other guys there then I won't reject her, but if she does anything like that then I will reject her and send her home in an uber. Don't get me wrong I’m not expecting my mate to be perfect, especially seeing as I’m not perfect, but we all know how humans are at times. No offence Jessica, there are a lot of good humans out there as well, like there are bad werebears and werewolves.” Toby said, quickly covering for himself about the human part when he saw Jessica scowl at him. Toby did have a point though the bad ones of us are called rogues, but there was no name for the bad humans and even though Jessica, Shelly and Lisa were good, there were also some right idiots at our school who you wouldn't trust as far as you could throw them. We all ate our food, chatting to each other as we did so and when it was time for us to leave Toby turned and winked at Shelly.   “I’ll be there at eight.” Toby said and she nodded before we left.   Shelly’s P.O.V   I wasn't sure if Toby would actually say yes to going on a date with me or not. He had sat by me in science all year and I would often catch him glancing at me from the side, but I never mentioned it. I always felt weird around him, it was like a good weird feeling about him, but I had no idea why. I often thought about him and even had a few dreams about him which were nice, but I always seemed drawn to him, like I was under his spell or something, not that I was complaining because he was a decent guy. Lisa and I walked into Sheik and there he was sitting with Jessica and Anna.    “Do you think I should ask him out? He is kinda cute and I sorta like him. When I’m near him I feel this spark and it's weird, but a good weird.” I asked, turning to Lisa and she shrugged. I don't know why I said he was kinda cute when he was a complete hottie, but thankfully he didn't act all vain and cocky about it.   “I don't see why not. Come on, let's go ask him.” Lisa replied and we walked over to his table. They were all eating and I was really nervous, but when I finally got to the table I took a deep breath and took the chance to ask him out on a date. I was shocked when he said he thought I would never ask, that he would pick me up and to write my address down. It felt like a dream come true. I hurried to write down my address for him, handing it to him and watched as he put it straight into his pocket. I went back to the counter to order food with Lisa and watched as he left, but then he turned and winked at me, making me blush as he said he’ll be there at eight. My heart was beating so fast and there was just something about this guy, hopefully I’ll find out what it is tonight at the movie and maybe I’ll find out if he really likes me or not. I turned to eat my cheeseburger and fries, already counting down the time to my date. I’m sure that's not a bad thing, but there was no way in hell I was going to tell anyone that. It's hard enough that my brother makes fun of me because he thinks I have OCD, but I can't help it if I like my room clean and organized, unlike his room which is a complete and utter mess.
