Anna’s P.O.V
I looked at the clock on my phone to find that it was ten in the morning and I had been asleep for only a few hours, but I was still tired and it was still early. I didn't have school today, so I thought I could sleep in. HA! So much for that idea.
“WHAT THE f**k!!” I screamed and pulled the blankets up over my head. The knocking continued to get louder and harder, so I threw the blankets off me and stomped over to my bedroom door.
“I dont give a f**k who this is. When I open the door it had better be either food or my mom and dad.” I said, grabbing my robe from the back of the door and putting it on before snatching my bedroom door open. There stood Toby and Jessica with a bag of food in their hands. I rolled my eyes and moved out of the way, letting them in. I slammed the door shut once they were inside and sat back down on my bed, glaring at them. I was not a morning person and I was even worse when I hadn’t had much sleep.
“Food, now please.” I said, grumbling. They both laughed and handed me the McDonald’s bag. I pulled out a Big Mac, fries and Jessica handed me a strawberry milkshake. I started to eat and drink my shake, still looking at them suspiciously.
“How did you guys know I needed food?” I asked, as they only brought me food when I was upset.
“Your mom called us this morning and told us what happened, she thought you would need some friends this morning. She told us you had a bad dream, do you want to talk about it?” Toby replied and I shook my head as I finished my food and drink, but Toby glared at me to tell him what happened.
“I’m okay, it was just a really vivid nightmare. I was being chased and shot at, I couldn't shift and I woke up sweating. I jumped out the window and shifted, running into the woods. My mom came after me and stopped me, bringing me back home. I promise I’m okay. Really I am, it was just a bad dream that's all.” I said, sighing.
“Be right back, I know we are supposed to be going shopping today for our graduation, so give me a few minutes and I’ll be ready.” I said, grabbing my clothes and headed into the bathroom. I took a quick shower, dried off, brushed my teeth and got dressed, putting my wet hair into a ponytail and I was done. I came out of the bathroom and slipped on my sandals.
“Alright, I’m ready. Let's go so that we can get back adn I can get more sleep.” I said and both Toby and Jessica rolled their eyes at me while shaking their heads.
“Hey, are you going shopping for graduation?” Cindy asked, stopping us as we reached the bottom of the stairs.
“Yeah we are.” I replied, smiling at her.
“Can I go? I need to get a dress.” Cindy asked, just as Megan came round the corner.
“Can I come too?” Megan asked, upon hearing our conversation.
“Yes, of course you can, but hurry up. I want to get back so I can go back to bed.” I replied and they both started laughing. It didn't take long for Cindy and Megan to grab their purses and meet us outside by my car. We all piled into my car, with Toby calling shotgun and sitting up front next to me, much to Jessica’s annoyance. I don't know what's wrong with her lately, but something is bothering her. It didn't take long for us to get to the mall, park the car and for everyone to get out. We had just walked inside when we saw Josie, Wes and Kali.
“Well, I guess half the pack is at the mall today.” I said, laughing as we all walked together, like a huge gang. We split into two groups with the girls going into a dress shop, while the guys went into the suit store. A few hours later and we all came out with bags, we had all found dresses and the shoes to match, the guys had also found their suits. We were all laughing and having fun as we made our way to the food court. When we got there we ordered hamburgers and slices of pizza, but while everyone was talking I felt like there was something off. It was creeping me out and I felt like something or someone was watching me. I looked around, acting like I was just having fun and talking to everyone, I thought I saw someone looking over at us, but the person was gone as soon as I saw them. I shook off the weird feeling and ate the rest of my pizza, but still kept my eyes open, just in case. When we had finally made it home I showed my mom and dad my dress, but when my dad looked at it closely he saw the slit on the side and I knew that he didn't like it, plus it was also strapless.
“No. absolutely not, you are not wearing that. It is strapless and has a slit up the side, it will show half your body.” My dad said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Dad, I’m only going to wear it once. Don't worry.” I replied and he shook his head.
“Once is enough.” My dad said as my mom put her hand on his and managed to calm him down.
“Anna, the dress is beautiful and you will look gorgeous in it, but I do agree with your dad that it will show too much and wearing it once is enough, but I will allow it.” My mom said and my dad was nodding in agreement at first, but when he heard my mom say that she agreed to it his eyes widened in shock.
“I know and I will only wear it once, I promise.” I replied. I respected my parents and understood where they were coming from, but that didn't stop me from rolling my eyes at them and their over protectiveness. I walked up to my room and hung my dress up so that it wouldn't get wrinkled or creased. I sat at my desk eating my snacks and drinks before throwing the rubbish into the bin and walking over to my bed, collapsing onto it and pulling the blankets back over my head.
“Oh bed how I have missed you.” I said, closing my eyes and letting sleep take me.
