A whole new scary world

I woke up to the bright early first rays of sun burning my eyes again. I sat up in bed and had my stretch and yawn. Still in a sleepy daze i started for downstairs to get some coffee. When i reached the bottom of the stairs and saw the chaos of broken furniture and blood spread across the entry hall, yesterday dawned on me and it all came back. But the house did not look like this when i got home. How did I get to bed? Whose blood was that all over the place? Then it hit me.... Was Lisa still in bed? I hadnt looked. I rushed back upstairs to find her bed empty and still made up. I rushed back downstairs and searched the broken apart bottom floor finding dead bodies of people I had never seen before. Then I found Lisas moms body. I ran over to her but she was already cold and stiff and the blood surrounding her had almost dried already. I began panicking and screaming Lisas name hystercally. I then remembered that Ben had given me his number. I checked my pocket and luckily it was still there. I raced back up stairs and practically tore apart the room looking for my cell unsuccessfully. I ran to the landline, but it had been disconected. I remebered the pay phone at the gas station a block down the road. I took Lisa's car and prayed she was ok and would forgive me. Tearing out of the driveway I made it to the pay phone in record time and dialed Ben's number. He answered on the first ring. I quickly told him what I woke up to and asked him where I can find Jason. He paused.

"Ben, are you still there?" I almost cried.

"Hey, yeah, Im still here. Where are you? Im coming to get you."

"I'm at the gas station just around tbe corner from the house. Ben whats going on?"

"Go inside the store and dont speak to anyone. Stay behind the shelves. I'll come in and get you ok. Dont let anyone see you. Tell the cashier you are waiting for me. Il expalian everything when i get you somewhere safe. OK? Stay calm. Il be there in a bit. "

" OK. I'm going inside now. "

I went to the cashier and told him what Ben had said and asked him to keep Lisas car keys incase she came looking for them. I then headed to the back of the shop. A minute later the cashier came and handed me a coffee and told me to go and lock myself in the toilet until Ben got here. And not to say a word until I heard Ben's voice.

"Sit dead still and dont make a noise no matter what you hear ok? Not until you hear Ben calling for you."

Wide eyed and in a state of shock, i did what I was told. I locked the bathroom door and then locked myself in a stall aswell and I quietly sat cross legged on the toilet and sipped my coffee.

I almost fell off the toilet from fright when i heard what sounded like a shelf full of merchandise being smashed. But I did as I was told and sat silently trying my best to not scream at every crash close to the door. Trying to stay calm I worked on my breathing to keep myself from sobbing uncontrollably. It felt like an hour had gone by when the crashing and banging and pained cries had stopped and I heard Ben call out for me. Relief washing over my body I quickly ran from the stall and unlocked the bathroom door, but peeked out slowly. Behind what looked like a scene from a horror movie stood Ben completely naked and soaked in blood. I stood frozen in shock.

"Hey, its ok. They wanted to hurt you. I had to. Its going to be ok. But we have to hurry ok. We have to get you somewhere safe."

I nodded slowly and took his offered hand and he gently tried to lead me across the devistasion of a scene. We got half way across the store when my shakey knees gave in beneath me. My nerves were completely shot and i was in such a state of shock. The two scenes of distruction and the blood baths finally catching up with me and I started sobbing.

Ben lifted me into his arms and I cried into his neck as he carried me to the car. After he set me down in the passenger chair and buckled me in. He gave me a hug and told me everything would be ok. He grabbed some wet whiped out the cubby and wiped the bits of blood off my face and arms that had goten there from his blood soaked arms carrying me. He then went to the boot and after a minute returned to the drives seat dressed and most of the blood wiped off of him. Judging by the gashes in his arms, alot of that blood was his.

"Ben you are hurt."

"Dont worry about me Clarry, I heal fast. As long as you are ok. Jason would kill me, if I ever let anything happen to you."

"Where is he? What happened last night?" I asked.

"When we get there, we will explain everything to you. For now, just try calm down. I did find out that Lisa is alive. She was injured, and her dad took her to the hospital. But she she is going to be just fine."

" Oh thank God! But her mom? Does she know.? "

" Yeah,.... Yeah she does. Her mom died saving her life. "

And that was me. I started crying again, almost like a child. I never had a family. But what I did have was Lisa family and they had become my family. I practically grew up with them. What the hell was going on. Everything in my life was so normal and boring and now there was mass blood shed which felt like it was following me. How in the name of hell did things take such a drastic turn. I just wanted to go back to the catholic orphanage and drink tea with my favourite sister and listen to her lectures about men and their evil ways and how I should rather stay single than let a man rule my life. I wanted to sit on the end of Lisa bed and talk about parties and boys and girl stuff. But here i was being taken somewhere safe while Lisa was in a hospital bed mourning her mothers brutal death.

"I should be with Lisa. She just lost her mother. She will need me to be there."

"No Clarry. Lisa knows where we are going. As soon as she is cleared to leave the pack doctor she and her father will meet us there. She is also a wolf. She heals fast like me, see almost healed already" he pointed at his gashes with his eyes.

They were almost completely healed. All that reamained was what looked like scrathes from a kitten. That was amazing. I couldnt believe my eyes. I unconsciously reached out and touched one as if to confirm that my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

"Dont worry, you will get used to it,." ben almost laughed.

How could he still have humor left in him after everything that has happened today. He has just been practically mauled and left a clump of headless bodies in the shop. So much death and blood shed. And Ben still has humor. I sat there staring blankly at Ben like he was an alien.

"Its ok Clarry. Its all going to be Ok. Trust me ok. Im going to keep you safe. And hopefully you will never have to witness anything like that ever again. We have a psychologist at the pack who you can speak with if you want."

"Thanks. I think I just need to find out whats going on and let my mind process everything first."

"When we get back, the alpha and beta will explain everything that has happened and the plan of action moving forward. I can be there with you if you want. Or we can wait for Lisa if you want and she can be there with you too. It all depends on how you feel most comfortable. Its all up to you. "

"Why cant you just tell me?"

"Well the alpha in our community is like our boss, our king, our president so to speak. He gives us orders, or instructions and we must comply. He has told me he needs to speak with you and give you the correct information so that you wont have any word of mouth stories that may be muddled up like broken telephone type thing."

"I see." is all I could think to say. My mind was now on overload.

We drove for what felt like half an hour on a tiny road through dence forest and then the forest got more and more open until it opened up completely to a well built up hidden village. There were huge windmills and water turbines in the river that ran along side the village. There were solar panels on every roof. The village apeared to be completely off the grid with only 1 entrance and suurounded by such dense forest a bunny would struggle to get through. I felt safer already. All the gardens surrounding the little houses were bright with flowers and well kept hedges to seperate personal spaces, and in the centre was a huge victorian style building that was big enough to be a castle. It was amazing that you couldnt see it from the city we stayed in up the hill. Not that I ever looked, but you could see the city from here and it looked so much bigger from here. It made me think of how little I got out that i didnt even know how big the city was that I had stayed in since birth.

"You can see the city from here but they cant see us because af the magic barrier set by the witches."

"Witches?" I asked now completely dumbfounded.

"Yes, they exist too. So do fairies, although they are actually called Fae. And unfortunately vampires are also very much real. Demonic creatures might I add. And there is a whole bunch more. Some good. Some not so good. But I think thats enough for today. The Alpha will give you all the information you need for now. I dont want to overwhelm you too much. What do you say we go and check on Lisa first? "

" Yes. PLEASE. That would be great. Thank you Ben. For everything. "

I followed ben into the victorian castle building. (overwhelm, well too late for that. Im surprised im not twitching already).

I took in the building as we walked. There was so much gold and silver decor along with beautiful wooden floors and light grey walls. A wierd but breathtaking decor combination. On one wall was portraits. The top ones with gold frames, the middle with silver frames and the bottom with bronze frames. All gorgeous sports model type men. (I wonder if its a wolf thing).

We stopped at a door and Ben knocked.

"Come in" said a very deep voice that rumbled through me giving me the shivers. It was so authoritative.

I followed Ben inside and there was Lisa sitting up in a bed while a nurse checked her vitals. I ran over and wrapped her in a tight hug not even seeing everyone else in the room.

"Clarry, Im so glad you are ok. I was so worried. Dad thaught you were still at work and when i woke up and asked where you were the alpha told me that Ben was already on his way to get you."

"Im so sorry Clarry, I had no idea you were home and assumed Jason would get you to safety and honestly I was in to much of a panic for Marge and Lisa and didnt thing to ask anyone. You know I would never leave you on purpose. You are like my own child." Uncle Joe looked like he was about to break at the seams.

" Its ok uncle Joe. I understand, and Im ok. " I went over and gave him a big hug and his water system sprung a leak into my shoulder as he sobbed.

" Im so sorry. " is all I could say, now crying too..... Again....

When we had both stopped crying he pulled away and gave me a peck ontop of my head before walking towards the door.

"Alpha, lets give the girls a moment and Lisa can get changed too. They can meet us up in the study when they are done."

(HOLY CRAP) . I hadnt even noticed the other man in the room (presumably Mr. deep voice). I looked his way and he gave me a small smile while he continued to study me.

" Agreed Joe. I will see you shortly Clarry. Welcone to the pack." His voice was too much for me. I only nodded my response.

Everyone exited the room and left Lisa and I alone. I went to help her off the bed but she laughed and shrugged me off. She got of the bed with not even a flinch and went to go shower. I sat waiting a bit, but felt a bit uncomfortable by myself so i went into the bathroom and sat on the toilet while she showered.

"Lisa?"

"Yeah?" she said sounding like she got a bit of a fright.

"You ok?"

"Im fine Clar. I was raised in this environment. Im used to death. This one was hard because its my mom but I will be fine. We have to carry on with life and live a little bit extra for the life that they could longer live." she sounded chirpier than I expected. " that is our way of life in our comunity. Dad is taking it hard though because mom was his mate and that is not so easy to just move on from. So we going to have to give him alot of attention from now on to make him as happy as possible or I fear the worst. Losing your mate can kill you. "

" Oh. What is a mate?"

"Um.....its kind of like a soul mate. Wolves have one person meant for them to spend the rest of their lives with and once they meet and the claiming is done, they become one in soul. And when one mate dies, the other very rarely survives. Finding your mate and not completing the claiming can drive even the stongest of wolves completely mad and most end up going rogue..... Which is when you leave your pack and become a lone wolf and ultimately lose your himanity. You are alpha Jasons mate. But lets save this conversation for Alpha John. He is Jasons father and passed down the title to Jason when he became of age, but in Jasons absence resumes the role. "

" oh..... So Jason is like their president King thing...... You said in his absence?..... " I trailed off here remembering last nights events.

" Yes in his absence. But I also said you are his mate and not you were his mate so dont panic just yet. " she gave me a reassuring smile. " Im ready. Are you ready to go and speak to alpha John? "

" As ready as I'll ever be. Do you know where Ben is?"

"I'll let him know you want him there."

I followed Lisa up stairs to the alphas office.

Once we were seated alpha John and uncle Joe entered and took the remaining seats around the table.

"Might I say Clarry, how wonderful it is to finally meet you. Jason has told me all about you. Im just sorry that it had to be under these circumstances." the alpha gave me an apologetic smile.

"I think for you to fully understand what is going on right at this moment we will need to start at the be)

gining. With that said, not a word of this leaves this room. Your life very much depends on this staying a secret. Can I please have an oath from every person in this room that what is said in this room today never leaves this room?"

"I outh on my life Alpha John." everyone else chanted.

"Um, I-I outh on my life?" I stuttered.

"Thank you Clarry however the outh has no effect on you since you are not officially part of the pack yet and techinically its your secret." I nodded, pretending I understand what he meant by that.

"You see Clarry, this all started before you were born. The Supernatural council became obsessed with creating a hybrid wolf that would lead the entire supernatural existence. The king of all kings. They started cross breading supernatural beings who had not yet found their mates and had no family to miss them.

They mated a few pairs of witches and Fae, and a few pair of vampires and dragons which worked out difficult as the unborn babies would drain their mother of blood from the inside out and many did not survive. So they began disposing of all their current subjects by releasing them back into the world to fend for themselves. They never did perfect their experiments and so eventually gave up not knowing that some of their released projects had survived, and so had their babies. These people who had been subjected to these experiments had known the plans with their babies and decided to follow through with the plan themselves. Once their babies were of age for mating they were forced to pair and complete the claiming and ultimately got pregnant. However when it was confirmed that the female was pregnant with a daughter, the pair decided that this was not what they wanted for their baby and escaped while their parents were out negotiating the next step of the project with an alpha wolf whose wife was pregnant with a son. A deal was made that the two babies would be mated and blood outhes were made.

Upon returning home they discovered their children missing and began the search. They looked far and wide and had supernatural beings of all types looking for them. By the time they found the pair the baby had already been born and they would not say where they left it. They would not even speak under torture. Some say the parents tried to get the pair to concieve another child but nobody knows if they succeeded or what happened to them but the parents were caught by the alpha wolf who they made tbe deal with and were sentenced to death for breaking the blood outh. " The alpha paused and stared at me for a while.

" What does all this have to do with what is happening now? " I asked a little confused by the way he was studying me.

" You, Clarry, are the missing baby. You are the one who was promised to Alpha Tylar of the black moon pack, and he still wants you. His son, Lucian, is the alpha who challenged Jason in the bar last night."

"Oh...... Oh my god..... What does that mean? Where is Jason now?" Now i was panicking. And everyone in the room was staring at me like I was an alien. Ben was sitting with his elbows on the table and his hands covering his mouth trying to hide his shock.

" What all of this means is that you were promised to Lucian before birth and your child with him is meant to be the ultimate hybrid wolf that is meant to rule the entire supernatural world. Saying that, if you were to have a child with Jason, the results would be the same. However, you are Jasons mate. And so which ever path you choose to take, there will be a supernatural war. The black moon pack is a very dark pack who are quite frankly savages in their ways. They treat their lower ranking wolves and woman as slaves and baby makers and have the death penalty for petty things such as not being able to carry a child of missing a spot while cleaning. They are ruthless and cruel so many of the darker supernatural beings will fight for thee baby to be with Lucian. And many of the humble supernatural beings that lead humble peaceful lives will fight with us to keep you from ever procreating with those evil beings. They will stand with us." he trailed off staring at me again. Studying my every reaction.

" I don't even want a baby right now? And why wont anyone tell me where jason is?"

" Last night, Lucian cheated in the challenge. His pack got involved and they kidnapped Jason and will return him in exchange for you. Jason refuses and will die before he lets them have you. He truly loves you and will die to protect you from the cruelty of the black moon pack. Myself and my pack have made a blood outh with him to do our best to protect you from the black moon pack. There will be no exchange. We will fight to get Jason back." The alpha concluded.

I was seething with anger. How dare they take the choice away from me. I would choose to save Jason. I would go if it meant he could live. The whole castle started shaking as if their was an earth quake.

"Clarry, you have to calm down, you are going to tear this palce appart." the alpha said panicked.

This seemed to bring me back to my sences and I sat there staring at the people around the table who all looked terrified.

"t-t-that was me? I-I-I shook the building?" I stuttered in complete shock and confusion.

"Yes Clarry. That was you. You are a lot more powerful than you think. We need to get someone from each of your blood lines to teach you how to access each of your powers. But for the meantime. Please try to keep calm for the sakes of the packs lives and your friends. You are like an atomic bomb when you are angry and could kill many people. Please try stay calm" The alpha said calmly while holding my hand and stroking it as if to be trying to keep me calm.

"I see. Il do my best. Im sorry. I didnt know."

"I know. Be brave. There is still so much for you to learn. I can have a witch here tomorrow to try and teach you how to control that side of your blood line. Then a Fae, a Dragon and i will try find a Vampire willing to help us. There is one who owes me a favour. Hopefully she can help. For now, go and get cleaned up for lunch. You must be starving. After lunch, Lisa and Ben can show you around the pack. Joe and I have alot to prepare. We are officially preparing for war. Ben, will you please start doubling warrior training from tomorrow. "

" Yes sir. May I suggest starting the non warriors on basic training for self defence? "

" Brilliant Idea. Well done my boy. "

With that I followed Ben and Lisa out of his office to carry out his instructions.
