My inner flame and dragon

I woke earlier than Lisa and jumped in the bath for a nice long relaxing bath in peace while everyone was still asleep. I lay down in the almost scorching water, Just the way i like it, and closed my eyes. I just lay there and pretended like nothing had happened in my life. Like I was at complete peace and bliss. I enjoyed the little bit of peace and silence that I pretty much never get. Even before all this crap had happened.

I jolted up splashing water everywhere at the sound of a ginormous roar or growl. I dont actually know what that was but it was so loud I swear my heart must have jumped right out of my chest. Naked and freezing and shivering I braved a few steps towards the window and peeped out. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would bever have believed it. There in the terrace stood a huge dragon. Like WTF? Those existed too? Nobody had said anything about actual dragons. I mean. Like I know I have dragon in me, but I was not expecting it to be like a real live, big as a hotel Dragon. Oh holy hell. Was that my lesson today? Am I going to have to look like that. How does that even work? Im do tiny. Im a firm believer in science, and that tells me that is pretty impossible? You cant possibly grow in mass, weight, height etc in a matter of minutes or seconda or whatever. Im so not ready for this.

The door behind me smashed open, once again making me jump and slip on the wet floor landing on my bare butt with a thump.

"Clarry, did you see it?" Lisa squealed with excitement.

"Um yeah, um i heard it too. It nearly gave me heart failure and then you added to my already fragile heart giving in completely."

"Im so sorry. I didnt mean to spook you. But I was so excited. I've never seen a dragon before. We thaught they were extinct. Alpha must have kept him a secret." she said as she peeked out the window. "Oh my word he is Gorgeous too, and he is coming inside. Oh my word we need to get ready quickly and go down for breakfast. I neeeed to meet him."

"Alright, fine let me just finish bathing."

"I'll jump in the shower while you bath. Im so excited my stomach feels all wierd. Like butterflies rolling about in there."

"Really? About meeting a dragon?" I questioned " isnt he just like a wolf in a way?"

"Sure, but different. Like a BIG difference. You get it? He is really big?" she was gesturing with her hands while standing on her tippy toes.

"Lisa. Oh my word you are so corny sometimes. But I love how you make me laugh."

We cleaned and dressed really quickly and raced down to breakfast. I was actually starving. Like I could eat a dragon kind of starving.

"MATE" I head Lisa say.

"Huh? What do u mean?" I asked.

But she ignored me and kept walking towards the dragon guy with the biggest and happiest grin I had ever seen.

And then it hit me. The warewolf mate thing everyone was talking about. Wow. Ok he was like double her size in his human form. He was huge. I secretly hoped his ding dong was not as big as he was compared to a normal sized man. Freak me out, Lisa would be dead. Death by ding dong.

I watched as they hugged and kissed like they had known each other their whole lives. Wow this side of life was wierd. Loving a complete stranger and all.

"Thats Prince Edward of the secret last remaining tribe of Dragons. He will be your tutor today."

I turned to see Alpha standing behind me.

"Secret last remaining tribe. As in nobody knows about them?"

"Correct. They have been hidden for over 100 years. I go and see them with a few of my trusted pack members every now and then to make trades of things they cannot grow or make themselves."

"But now he is here and your whole pack will have seen and heard him arrive?" I asked a bit worried.

"Yes. Quite correct. Prince Edward has decided that with the war upon us, it is time to come out into the open. That, and he is very interested in meeting you, and seeing what you are capable of."

"Oh." is all I could bring myself to say. The thaught of war was bad enough but with the dragons now coming out of hiding for the war made it feel like this war is going to be alot bigger than I anticipated. It made me feel guilty all over again.

"Go and have some breakfast. Im sure Lisa and Edward will be joining you shortly. Have a good meal. I think you may need alot of sustenance for today."

"Yes alpha. Thank you."

With that the Alpha went and joined some others at a table and began eating.

I walked over to the buffet and dished myself a large plate of bacon, eggs and a whole bunch. Not too much because I wanted pancakes after aswell.

After breakfast I went ahead and waited at the back field. I finished quite early so I decided to water the flowers and say sorry to them for using them yesterday. When I was done I turned to head back and almost walked straight into Edward and the Alpha. Damn, for big boys they could walk so quietly.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

They gave a bit of a laugh.

"We were waiting to see if you were going to do something you learned yesterday." Edward said with a smile.

"Oh, no I was just apologizing to the plants for what they went through yesterday." I said while scratching the back of my head in embarrassment.

"Well we wont be hurting the plants today. I would like to see if you are able to call your flame." Edward said and with that the Alpha started walking back inside.

"Call my flame?" i asked confused.

He gave me a huge smile.

"You are part dragon, which means you have a dragon flame. Now I just need to helo you figure out how to call it forward. Judging by your size, you should still be quite small, but big in comparison to a wold."

"Wait,...... Do you mean..... I-I am going to turn into a dragon?" I stuttered a bit.

"Thats exactly what I mean. Now sit with me. Close your eyes. Imagine a tiny dragon in your head, sort of in place of your brain. Now imagine a flame in the place of your heart. Feel it......... Feel its warmth. Feel it spread through your body. Now....... Speak to the dragon in your head. Introduce yourself and let the conversation go naturally. " he finished and we fell into dead silence.

So, i did as he said. I felt the warmth all over my body from the flame. It was really conforting with the chill in the air. And tben I focused on the dragon in my head. And started my conversation in my head.

"Um, hi dragon. My name is clarry. Apparently Im surposed to have a dragon flame in me, but Im not even entirely sure of what that is really and now I need to talk to you to help me call my flame."

"Hi Clarry,......" I cut her off.

"Oh holy hell you just spone back!"

"Ofcourse I am speaking back. I am your dragon side. Your other half or your conscience so to speak. Your dragon flame is the heart of your dragon side. My heart. In order to call your flame, you must acknowledge me and by speaking to me you have done just that. Now you need to trust me. This should be easy considering we are one. I feel what you feel and now tbat you have called upon me, you will feel what I feel too. Physically and emotionally. Tell me Clarry, do you trust me to help you shift into your dragon. Whrn this happens, I will be on the outside and you will be on the inside as I am now. We wont be able to hold the shift for too long on our first try but it will give us enough time to have a little fly. Would you like to fly Clarry. I can feel that you are excited, yet also apprehensive. You feel like you will be stuck as a dragon. Rest assured, we cannot hokd a shift forever as it takes alot out of us. Both you and me and we will have to practice alot from now on if you want to be able to shift for war. We will have to practice all our talents. Your witch, your fae, your dragon and your vampire sides. Its going to be quite an adventure. An adventure I am so excited to share with you. Always remember that you, your human side is always in control and you can switch on and off whichever side you wish at whatever point you wish. I can feel you are easing up a bit. Are you ready to try shifting?" she lay hear head down, patiently awaiting my response. After thinking about everything she just said I finally repied.

" I think so?"

"That is great. The first shift always hurts a bit. But its not as bad as you are imagining. You can do it. Just be persistent and push tbrough it. Get up on your hands and knees. This will be the easiest position to keep us ballanced." she waited while I followed her instructions. "Great. Now......imagine yourself transforming and growing. Will it to happen."

I did as she said. After about a minute I started to feel it. It hurt alot but my excitement about transforming helped me to keep pushing on. I felt my bones snap and crack and although that sounds excruciating, it wasnt too much to handle. I litterally felt myself stretching and something pushing out my sides. My wings. Thats what it was. Oh my word this was fascinating. I couldnt believe what was happening.

"Its done Clarry, open your eyes."

I opened my eyes to see the ground way further down than I expected and Edward also looking rather small and rather shocked.

I tried to ask him what was wrong but could only roar at him.

"Speak to his mind with your mind Clarry. By the way my name is Cleo."

"Thats a very pretty name. Im so glad we finally got to meet." I replied.

I watched as Edward started shifting too. It was truly incredible to watch. However, he stopped shorter than me. I waited for him to grow some more But he didnt.

"You are much bigger than I thaught you would be. I woukd love to know what tribe your dragon side came from."Edwards voive boomed in my head.

"Trust me, Im as shocked as you are." I tried to say back into his head and waited for a sign to see if it worked.

"I bet you are" he said back with a laugh.

I sighed inwardly knowing it worked.

"Ready to fly?" he said.

"I dont know how?"

"Just trust your dragon and let her take the lead."

I nodded.

"Cleo, are you ready to take the reigns?"

"I sure am!" she replied excitedly and with that, my great big wings gave a huge flap as we jumped off the earth and shot up into the sky.

Once again I tried to shout out'This is amazing' but ended up roaring loudly. We flew over the mansion and I could see Lisa and the otbers stop training below us and stare. Lisa started jumping up and down shouting 'WOOHOO' which earned her a few strange looks from everyone else. Cleo took us over the trees and over the lake. I just sat back and relaxed in my dragons head and watched the amazing scenery sour by and enjoyed the feeling of the wind sweeping over us. It was tbe most amazing feeling. Like it was me but it wasnt me, but I could feel everything, including Cleos excitement to finally break our wings in. I felt like I hate met my soul mate inside my very own head. I loved her already. Things were going to be amazing from now on. I could just feel it.

We started heading back towards tbe field. I could feel Cleo and myself starting to feel worn out. After we landed Cleo took a couple seconds to catch her breath. "Clarry, you ready to shift back."

"Yeah, I think we need to or we will pass out."

" Ok, same as before, Imagine us shrinking and changing back."

"I did as ahe said and could instantly feel myself changing.

When it was done I ooened my eyes to a completely naked Edward standing infront of me.

" Oh my god Edward, you are naked."

He started laughing. I looked down. So was I. I screamed and tried to cover myself up. Edward walked away and came back with a long coat and draped it over my shoulders. He then turned around and started dressing too. I quickly put the coat on and tied it closed

"Thank you," i said probably still blushing, "a bit of warning would have been nice though."

"If I had told you, you probably wouldnt have wanted to shift infront of me and today woukd have been a waste. You eill get used to it though. It works the same with wolves. Anyway. Im starving. Lets go meet the otbers for lunch."

"I could eat an elephant right about now. This supernatural livong is going to make me fat, im sure of it."

We headed in and true as bob, I ate like I hadnt eaten in weeks. Lisa couldnt stop talking about my dragon.

"Im still feeling really worn out. Im going to have a shower and take a nap. Why dont you and Edward spend some time while I nap."

"Thats a great Idea. You do look a bit tired. Feel better my bestie. Il see you when you up." Lisa replied and dragged Edward out the door.

I headed upstairs and took a long shower and jumped in bed.

"Good Night Cleo, I enjoyed today so much."

"Good Night Clarry. We are going to have so much fun from now on. I cant wait to spend the rest of our life together!"

I smiled. And with that I let sleep consume us.
