Chapter 06: Tomás   The room loudly filled with laughter and giggles. Elliot was worried sick as he saw his son playing with cars and toys with his biological father. It was both a catastrophe and a blissful scenery for him. He knew that it would be a catastrophe because by now, Elliot and Hugo can’t escape nor hide from Tomás. And he also finds it blissful in a way that he never saw his son and Tomás being that happy. The heart was confused and lost. He was torn between personal issues or family issues. Elliot always wanted to cut ties with Tomás. He lived far and far away from him, but. The obstinate rich, arrogant man was driven to find the family that Tomás never knew he created. Tomás always wondered how did he impregnate Elliot when he is a man? He hired private investigators and appointed all the best doctors in the world. It was then he knew that Elliot had a rare case of Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome. Where Elliot had an active female reproductive organ that can get him pregnant. Tomás was horny and a s*x addict. He always had s****l intercourse with one of his interns named Elliot Barnes, without protection, and that’s how the baby happened. “Wow! Daddy! Thank you so much for all these gifts. My happiness exceeds than I thought it would be,” he said. Tomás asked. “Why? I mean, don’t you have toys that much? Is your Mom not buying you?” he said as he glared at Elliot, whose head is down. “I don’t have many toys. But I never demanded my Mom to buy me such. I understand him. His work doesn’t pay him that much money. Whatever Mommy Elliot may give me, I’ll accept it. Big or small. I love him. I love you, Mom,” the kid spoke like a mature adult. Elliot raised his head and met the kid’s eyes with a smile. “I love you more, Baby,” with a teary eye, he said. Tomás then rolled his eyes at Elliot. “Baby, if Mom doesn’t have much money, then who would support your needs?” curious Tomás asked. “You’re taking it too personally, Mr. Rodriguez. You are quite offending my Mom,” said Hugo while crossing his arm as he saw his Mom standing on the other side with his head down low. Tomás tensed by how his son changed the tone and the way he addressed him. “N-No, Baby,” shaking his head as his sweats slowly formed his creases. “I-I was asking a question. I didn’t mean to o-offend anyone,” he added. Hugo sharply glared at him, making him tensed and nervous more. Never in his life, Tomás, came this sweaty. “Apologize to my Mom,” said Hugo. “W-What?” confusion was audible in his voice as his forehead creased. Tomás knows not the word “Sorry” or to apologize to someone. According to him, he is always right. And he never commits mistake. “Now!” the yelling voice of the kid made the two adults jolt in shock. “Hu-Hugo, then that’s fine, honey,” said his Mom. But the kid was motivated to make the arrogant man in front of him feel sorry. Tomás left with no choice but to swallow his pride as he didn’t want to cast a wrong impression on his child. He slowly nodded and looked at the poor Elliot. He called. “Elliot...?” there was hesitation in his voice. “I-I am...,” he paused as he cursed mentally. “S-So... S-So,” he was finding the courage to let out those words. ‘Damn it!’ he mentally said. Tomás took a heavy deep sigh as he finally said the words. “I’m sorry, Elliot. Didn’t mean to offend you in any aspect,” he said, giving him an apologetic smile. Elliot was stuck as it was the first time he heard Tomás saying sorry. “N-No, Worries,” he stuttered. The kid then beamed a smile at the man in front of him. “Aw. You’re so kind, Dad!” said the kid. “And to answer your question, Uncle Bryan. Uncle Bryan is the one who helped my Mom. I wanted him to be my official Daddy, also,” after hearing those words, Tomás felt a pang in his heart as his anger slowly rises and boiled inside of him. “Bryan,” he whispered while he gnashes his teeth. “Uncle Bryan had been so sweet and caring to Mommy. He had been courting Mommy for about a year and a half now. Mommy? Are you and Uncle Bryan official?” Elliot looked nervously at the man beside his child, who is now glaring dark at him. If looks could only kill, Elliot was now lying on the floor with his blood scattering all over. “Hugo!” calling at his child with round eyes. He then smiled sheepishly. “I’m sorry, Mom,” and giving him a peace sign. Elliot can’t stay mad at his son. He smiled at him and walked, hugging his son. But Elliot feels a hand tightly grabbing his ankle. Even if he doesn’t look to whoever it is, he knew it was him, Tomás. Elliot winced in pain as he looked at the man. He saw Tomás’s face darkened as he tightened his jaw. His chartreuse green eyes shimmered with pain and jealousy. “Ba-Baby,” calling his son. “I-It is past your bedtime. Y-You go and bid goodbye to Mr. Rodriguez n-now,” he stuttered and smiled at Hugo. Hiding the pain that Tomás gave him. Hugo nods, and Tomás let go of grabbing Elliot’s ankle tightly. Tomás smiled at the kid. “It was nice meeting you, Daddy. And thank you for all the gifts, even if my birthday was the other day,” said Hugo. “No worries, Baby. Daddy Tomás will be here for you from now on,” he tilted his head. “Can you give me a hug?” asked Tomás as he opens his arms widely with a smile stitched on his lips. “Sure, Daddy!” Hugo rushed running and hugged Tomás tightly. “How I wish I had a complete family,” the kid whispered in the air. But that didn’t escape from his ears, Tomás. Little did Hugo know that he is hugging his biological father that he has been looking for.
