As the five great magicians of Gouna went about spreading the news about the empire as they had agreed. Wizard Craig came to the city of Babb and spread the news around it and it reached the ears of a young witch who dwelled in the city and her name was Cari.
Cari had been hiding herself in the city for about twenty two years now. Unlike other people born with magic, Cari began to manifest her powers when she was twelve and with it she killed the man and woman who brought her into the world. The few people who knew her kept a very far distance from her because she began to manifest her powers before she turned eighteen. But it did not stop her from making a friend who was also of the magic line and was a little bit older than she was.
When Cari heard of the spreading news about a savior who was to be born, she had to reveal her true identity to the people of the city. This was done one fateful morning when she went to the town square and heard some people gossipping about her as she passed them, they even pointed fingers at her saying. "This is the exceptional witch who killed her parents."
"She had begun to practice dark magic ever since she was twelve which is very abnormal." Another person said.
This was not the first time they said stuff like that behind her back but because of the news of a savior, she had to show them her true self as she was covered with flames and her eyes turned white and she ascended and stood in the air.
As the people around saw this they all trembled with fear, then she said to them with a thundering voice while she still stood in the air. "You have heard of the prophecy concerning the return of Verona and the dark lord Kees. Well I am here to tell you that he has returned already and I am Verona. Most of you know me as Cari the watch who started manifesting her powers when she was still a minor and also killed her parents with the powers. I am never the offspring of any of those people, I came into this world through the powers of the dark lord and I have to finish the fight which was unfinished. The dark lord did not leave your midst, he only graduated into a spirit and will return when the time is right. You all the story, so I want you to pass this message to Ned who claimed to have killed me. Go, tell him that I have returned and the dark lord never left them, he had only waited for the right time when all of their powers will fade and this is the time, that is why they have decided to hand over the leadership to you mere men. Come, join me and you will never have to surfer again. Choose whom ye shall stand with, it is the dark lord Kees or your hero Ned whose powers are already faded. They have seen the future of this empire and have decided to give over the leadership to you so that the empire would not be taken over in their time. Behold they have told you about a prophecy of a wizard who is to be born but believe he me when I tell you that no one from the clan of magic will ever put to birth again because the dark lord have locked up the womb of all witches and the wives of the wizards so there will be not one to save you except for I and the dark lord. We have returned to take revenge on those who call themselves magicians of light and to also continue with our reign over you."
But as she finished speaking, a man from the crowd around shouted out with a loud voice. "You are saying all these to turn us against ourselves and make us lose hope, but we won't because we are certain that the prophesied child would be born and when he has come of age, he will surely redeem us just as the prophecy had stated."
And Verona was very angry that she instantly commanded the lightening to strike the man and it was so. Then the whole cloud was covered with darkness and lightening and it caused the people around to tremble the more as they all took on their heels for safety.
Then news concerning what had just happened went across the city of Babb to the over six cities of the empire and the news also got to the ears of Ned by the mouth of a man from Babb who witnessed it with his own eyes and all that Verona said was told to him in the exact same words which she used but Ned was not moved because he believes that the prophecy was actually going to come through so he and the other four great sorcerers stock to their plans along with other magicians, as they waited for the promised child to are while they made plans for the appointment of new leaders over the empire and cities.
Now in those days, before the leaders were finally appointed, in the smallest city of the empire called Meo, the wife of Greg who had no magical powers like his brother Peder gave birth to a daughter whom he called by the name Tyra and when those from his clan heard of the birth of his child, they came together to make merry with him because they thought that out of him had come their savour but when they arrived and saw that is was a girl, their joy was cut short and they returned to their various cities with sadness as they waited for another child to be born from their line.
When Peder came to congratulate his brother and saw that it was a girl, he said to Greg. "Do not see this child as a reproach rather see her as a redemption to you for in her will your powers be made manifest."
But Greg doubted, "This girl is truly a blessing to me but it is impossible for her to possess magic since neither I nor her mother have magic in us."
"You may see her that way but we only have to wait until she turns eighteen." Peder replied.
So Greg changed the topic of the day by asking his brother. "How is your son doing?"
"He is growing up so fast." Peder replied.
"Maybe you should come with him some other time when you are coming." Greg said.
"Yes I will definitely bring him to know where his father is from just that I want him to come of age a little before I begin to journey with him." Peder responded.
"Have you ever thought for a moment that your son would be the saviour which the prophecy spoke of?" Greg asked.
"I have a strong doubt about that because my son was born before this prophecy so we still have to wait for the promised child to be born." Peder answered.
