Love Between Wars

Episode Five

"Wow. Is that what I really look like right now?" amazingly Jessy uttered.

"Yes. You look fabulous, especially your eyes. They match with your hair color", Samantha agreed.

After buying a lot of dresses for Jessy, they headed to the salon for a fresh new look.

Her black silky hair was no longer black. It was dyed silver with green and blue highlights on it. She looked fantastic, the different colours of her eyes were glowing the most. The dull and innocent look was no longer in her face.

"Come on. We still have a party to attend." Samantha remembered and they both made their way to the parking lot.

Wearing a backless high slit red dress, Jessy steps inside the venue. The whole place was luxurious, chandeliers light sparkled every corner of the place. Foods were organized on the tables. She can hear the click clack sounds of her heels as she walks. Her hair was made into a loose low bun style. She looked like a killer hot chick.

Samantha, on the other hand, was waiting for Jessy. She left the mansion early at first, to settle some business. Wearing a gold backless above the knee dress, paired with white-glittered three-inch heels. She made her hair into a messy undone low bun. She is a hottie one.

Jessy was having fun drinking a glass of champagne. It was the third glass already. She couldn't find Samantha since the place was filled with visitors. One last shot and she started walking to find where the comfort room was. She was feeling numb and dizzy.

"Sorry" she uttered when she bumped herself into someone on the way. She looked up and saw a man in his 40's. He looked at her eyes and began to walk off into the crowd.

Without a clear vision, Jessy opened the handle of the door and went inside.

"Ugh. This place smells shit." she blurted out after peeing. She was washing her hands on the sink when she noticed a black folder placed on the right side.

"Who the hell left this thing here?" she spoke and went outside the room. Being oblivious, she entered the wrong comfort room- it was for males.

She felt like she was gonna throw up. She headed out to the car she drove earlier and dropped herself inside. Samantha gave it to her. It was one of her car collections. She relaxed in the seat for a moment. She was startled when she heard successive rounds of gunfire from the party. 'Samantha!' she remembered her and directly went out to the car and ran inside. People were screaming and scattered around the venue. She was looking for Samantha when a pair of hands grabbed her.

" What the hell are you doing here?!" She saw Greg with two guns in his hands. He was wearing a black and white suit. 'Handsome' she was stunned at. But she scolded herself when she realized what she was doing.

"Samantha! She was there too! I need to find her!" she panicked and ran faster to every corner of the place.

Greg was cursing when she was out of his sight. " Damn that woman!" he uttered and followed where she ran.

Jessy ripped off the below part of her dress. She was having a hard time running because of it.

"Oh s**t! I ripped too much!" she exclaimed when the damage was to her thighs already.

She was about to leave when someone grabbed her hair and threw her on the wall. Grunting from the pain, she managed to stand up and saw a man with tattoos on his neck, a black snake. Jessy tried to get out of his grip when he choked her. She kicked his balls, which made his grip lose while he was screaming in pain. She took one of her heels and beat it to his neck. She was startled when she saw blood coming out of his mouth. His heel was stuck to his neck, which caused him to bleed a lot.

" s**t! I just killed him ". Her hands were trembling while she picked up the gun beside him.

The place was chaotic, the elegant look of it was already ruined. She saw Greg on the other side shooting the enemies. Without a doubt, she directed her way to him and shot the person who was gonna fire at his back. She shrugged her shoulders when she saw him looking at her with a confused expression.

"Go to the exit now! I will cover you!" Greg shouted as he kept shooting. She did not hear what he was saying, since the sounds of the gunshots filled the place. She was about to say something when she saw Samantha in the hands of the man she bumped into earlier. Her heart was racing when he saw him pointing his gun at Samantha's head. She did not realize she was already running in her direction while shooting the person who got Samantha. He was shot in the shoulder, which made him lose his balance.

"Are you okay?!" she shouted at Samantha while she was panting.

"Yeah. Thanks. That was close." Samantha spoke out with a weak tone. The man's grip left a dark spot on her neck. Jessy was helping her to stand up when she noticed the man she shot was still moving.

"Dammit!" she cursed as she turned her back hugging Samantha. ' Bang!' She was startled when she heard a gunshot.

"Are you good?" Samantha asked her after she shot him. Jessy nodded and let go of the hug. She was gonna follow Samantha when blood started to flow on her dress. She grunted about the pain she felt on her right shoulder. She was shot! The pain started to kill her. She managed to follow Samantha who was being alerted on the way.

They saw Vince and Teo coming on their way.

" Are you guys good?" Teo asked while he loaded a bullet into his gun.

"Where is Greg?" Samantha asked while they walked faster to the exit.

"He was waiting for the exit. It's all clear now. Come on!" he shouted and ran. Jessy started to lose her vision when they arrived at the exit. She saw Greg was alerted looking around. " s**t!" she cursed when the pain creeped all over her body. Which made the others look at her.

" What the - you were shot? " Samantha exploded while holding her arms. Vince and Teo supported her. She saw Greg's expression become dark when he looked at her.

" Yeah. I'm still alive" she uttered crazily and closed her eyes when she felt very weak. She heard Greg continue to curse and felt two arms carrying her before she lost her vision.
