CHAPTER 26 - PRESENT TIME

954 Words
Richard informed him that the new cook would come the next morning, and Sebastian became delighted that night. For the first time in a long time, he went to sleep without summoning anybody from the private sanctuary. He desired to personally welcome his rescuer upon her arrival in the morning! Sebastian awoke early, and despite his lack of appetite for the breakfast dishes made by Derrick, he pushed himself to eat. Women moaned in unison with him at the fried fish on their plates. He had previously offered them the opportunity to depart The White Castles, but they chose to remain. Sebastian considered warning him about the new cook, but decided to conceal the information until the woman arrived. Following breakfast, he requested that Derrick guarantee that the women would not leave the secluded sanctuary. Although he had no intention of keeping it a secret from her, it would be stunning for her to hear about his little refuge on her first day. He watered the plants at the gate, anticipating being the first to greet her upon her arrival. Richard's automobile honked outside the gate at around 9:00 a.m. Sebastian welcomed him instantly and awaited Richard's presentation of the woman he recommended. Richard exited first, and then assisted the woman by opening her door. Sebastian furrowed his eyebrows and questioned his friend's actions as he waited for the woman to exit the vehicle. He could tell that she had exquisite legs, but he couldn't care less! However, when he first saw her face, he was entranced by her singular beauty. The woman's eyes spoke volumes, and her demeanor as she approached him screamed confidence! "Greetings from The White Castles! "My name is Ali," he stated, referring to himself by his nickname. "I've heard you're in the market for a cook, Ali." Sheena was unconcerned about skipping the formality and referring to him by his first name. She could hear Richard grumbling in the distance, but she couldn't care less! She remained dissatisfied with his actions, particularly last night when nothing transpired between them! "My name is Sheena, and I am a widow with no relatives." She identified herself using her middle name, Sheena. Sebastian was taken aback by the woman's candor, and he grinned at Richard for delivering the ideal candidate. "Impressive," he said to Sheena before expressing gratitude to Richard for bringing her over. The woman introducing herself as Sheena did not fit the description provided by Richard, but he ignored it. Since then, he knew his buddy, Richard, would be unable to appreciate genuine beauty, and in Sebastian's opinion, Sheena was beautiful regardless of her widowhood and lack of family. He was awestruck by her amazing beauty and beautiful complexion. Perhaps if she lacked culinary ability, he would make her one of his ladies! Sheena covertly scowled at her lover for his cowardice, and she despised every word he spoke while entrusting her to Ali. When Richard walked away without even a glance or a simple kiss, it was the final straw for her. She was enraged, but she had to conceal her feelings in front of her boss. "Are you head over heels in love with him?" He enquired. She was concerned that she had been too forthcoming with her feelings, but she couldn't confess to his supposition, regardless of whether he was correct. "Certainly not!" She responded emphatically. Sebastian nodded, but he had a sneaking suspicion that Sheena and Richard were having an affair. Could that be the case? No, Sheena could not be the reason Richard continued to postpone his assignment! "Why don't you demonstrate your culinary prowess?" He challenged her to prepare a delectable dish, such as steak and mashed potatoes. Sheena checked her wristwatch; she had more than two hours till lunchtime. "You'll discover it afterwards." Sebastian blinked numerous times as he walked into the house with Sheena. Is it possible that Richard played a joke on him by sending a lady who purported to be a cook but refused to demonstrate her abilities when he asked? He was her boss, and the bare minimum she could do was obey every word he spoke! However, she just rolled her eyes at him as if he didn't exist. "Hold on," he cried out to the woman, who completely disregarded him. When Sheena turned around, she discovered Sebastian standing behind her. She locked her gaze on him, her face expressionless. “Yes?” She waited for him to speak, and when he failed to do so at the predetermined moment in her thoughts, she shook her head and walked away. “Hey!” Sebastian screamed at the strange woman who entered the house as if she were the owner. Sheena came to a halt and turned around, scowling at Sebastian. "What exactly is it?" You know what, I'd like it if you could bring me to my room right now. I need to snooze; else, I would be unable to work successfully in your kitchen." She admonished him. Sebastian laughed at the woman's absurdity. "I don't believe you have the authority to warn me, Sheena." He reprimanded her for behaving arrogantly in his presence. No, he would not allow such behavior from any of his female employees or subordinates. "I apologize if I upset you, Sebastian, but I'm not in the mood for an argument at the moment. I may just go if you don't want me here.", as she stated. Sebastian closed his eyes in an attempt to contain his rage, but his nostrils flared as she threatened to leave. "Of sure, you may take an hour or two to rest." He yielded to her requests and moved ahead to demonstrate the bedroom she would be utilizing.
