The rules that should be followed in the mortal realm are pretty simple :
1. Always remember that humans are nothing more than sources of information.
( Never grow close bonds with them)
2. Never reveal your powers in front of a human
3. Never engage in a fight with a fallen angel when on a solo mission.
So far I haven't broken these rules, except for the last one.
Fallen angels are the angels that have been kicked out of heaven for rebelling against God.
They are absurdly strong and have absolutely insane powers and are as savage and power hungry in nature.
No surprise, that most of them had formed alliances with the alike dark fey realm.
But some crave going back to heaven and they have this crazy theory that a Lumarian can help them get back into heaven.
Where that crazy theory originated from? I have no idea.
But the Lumarian I was supposed to kill had managed to strike a deal with one.
The fallen angel had him under his protection .
Very few things can put an end to a Soul Hunter's immortality and fallen angels occupied the top slot.
Rules stated never to get into a fight with a fallen angel when alone. Basically, we were supposed to run away from the spot then contact our realm to send a team to take it down.
I would have done it if it hadn't been against my pride.
When I'm working on something I see it through the very end.
I don't ask for help and neither do I settle for anything less than being the best.
Fallen angel or not, the Lumarian was going down.
The fight that followed between me and the fallen angel was the bloodiest and the fiercest one of my entire existence.
That freak could control time. You can only imagine how much of a giant pain he must have been.
More than once I thought I was a goner.
But if not for the fight for survival then when would have my lethal skills and deadly training as an assassin kick in?
With every bit of my will power and strength, I gave the fight my best.
The fallen angel bit dust in the end after a long fight of four freaking hours and after that killing his Lumarian was a piece of cake.
That huge achievement among many others earned me the title of one of the best Assassins of dark court ever.
Nevermind the earful I got from Inna for my ' Stupidly reckless but incredibly brave act'
So, here I'm in the mortal realm again or more precisely a small town in the middle of the mountains. Grace mount.
Given the bizarreness and all shocks and mysteries surrounding this mission I was expecting this town to be a little more exciting rather than the mundane and dull image it presented as we arrived there at midnight .
The wood house by the forest that we were staying in had a small kitchen a T.V room and three separate bedrooms for each of us.
I arrange my stuff in the room pretty quickly considering that we all travel light. Ready to pack up and get moving when the mission ends and a new one begins .
A new mission, a new place.
" How long do you plan to sulk about this ?" I ask my cat which had been ignoring me ever since he changed his form.
I look at him for a long hopeful minute thinking he would bother replying but all he does is give me a flat expression sticking to his silent treatment.
Yeah, that's Bade for you.
I sigh climbing into my bed hearing Drana moving around in the room adjacent mine unpacking her stuff.
" Girls! " Vandom calls out from the other room " Don't stay up too late. We have school to attend tomorrow "
" School ?" Both me and Drama ask in reunion
"Yeah. Grace mount high school" Vandom says totally unaffected by our surprised reaction, " Inna says that she suspects the Lumarian studies there"
I groan.
As if all this craziness wasn't enough, Now we have to go to a high school to get him.
Seriously high school!
Drana doesn't look pleased either.
" When were you planning to say this to us ?" I ask annoyed.
The problem with Vandom is he doesn't share information until it is at the nick of the moment.
I don't know if this is because Vandom came to the dark court before me or Drana and had the whole no- talking, super secrecy thing drilled into him or he does that simply to get on our nerves.
" When it was necessary " He states not exactly surprising me but pissing me off with that response
" You know one of this days you should really give up playing Mr.Know it all "
Drana says as annoyed with him as I am .
