Telling the Truth

(Aksana) I looked around my room to make sure I had everything. I wanted to leave a few things just in case I wanted to visit, but mom said it was best to take it all and that when I came to visit, I just had to bring a bag, so I packed everything. I have to admit that I'm going to miss home. I have so many wonderful memories here with my family. I know this is not goodbye. They know where I'm going to be, and they can visit me whenever they want, and I will call every day to let them know I'm okay. “Are you ready?” mom asked from the door. “Yes” I said, turning towards her. She had unshed tears in her eyes. I opened my arms for her, and she ran to me. Mom and dad have been sad ever since we decided what I was going to do, but they know that I will be at the Royal Pack and that I will be fine. “I promise I will call every day”, I promised. “I know baby. It’s just hard to see you go” mom said. “I know mom, but it’s for the best. You guys can come visit me and vice versa. If I don't do this... I need to do this” I said, and she nodded understanding why. After dad talked to his friend, Jeffrey, last night, he went with mom and talked to Cory, but Cory refused to let me go. Apparently, he wants me to stay here even though he rejected me, which is not going to happen. So I will take my car to the pack’s border and there, I will reject Cory as my Alpha. “Everything is in the car, kiddo. We should get going before Cory finds out”, Alex says. I nod and we all head outside. I get in my car while mom, dad, and Alex get in Alex’s car. I revved the engine and headed to the border with my parents and brother following me. Dad, mom, and Alex don’t cross the border. I quickly gave them a hug and a kiss. I place one foot outside the pack borders, but keep one in. “I, Aksana Michaels, reject Cory Leo Spears, as my Alpha”. I felt the teether snap as a gust of wind circled me. My parents and Alex stumbled for a second before looking at me and nodding. It was done. I heard a howl cut through the quiet afternoon and I knew it was Cory. It was followed by a few more howls which made me look at my parents and Alex. “You should go. We’ll go to the diner”, Alex said. “I’ll call you when I get there” I told them, blowing them a kiss. I jumped in the car and sped off. I watched as Alex’s car turned around and disappeared into the distance. My wolf whimpers, but we both know this is for the best. *** (Alex) To say that I was angry was an understatement, but I promised my sister I wasn’t going to jeopardize my Beta position, but it doesn’t mean that I wasn’t going to let Cory, who I thought was my best friend, know how f****d up was what he did. He mated with my sister on her birthday, then left her, but not before using his Alpha voice to make her stay quiet about what happened, then rejects her after choosing a mate, and during that rejection my sister looses their unborn pup. If that's not f****d up then I don;t know what is. My parents and I got to the diner not far from the pack and ordered some dessert. I felt a tug on my mind and I knew it was a link and I knew it was Cory. We knew this was going to happen. It was just a matter of time. ‘Alex, where are you?’ Cory links me. ‘At the diner. Why?’ I linked back. ‘Where is your sister?’ he growls and I chuckle. “He’s asking about Aksana” I tell my parent and they both growl. ‘Currently, I’m not sure. .She didn't want to come to the diner with us’ I said truthfully. I didn’t know exactly where she was and I had asked her to go to the diner with us before, but she said it was better to get it over and done with. She was ready to start fresh and I could;t blame her. ‘Did you feel the snap of the teether?’ he asked. ‘Yes, I felt it’ I said indifferently. ‘I want you at your house, now’ he growls, using his Alpha command. I growled through the link before cutting it off. I grabbed my half eaten dessert and ate it before leaving the diner. I took my time driving back to the house and dad couldn’t help but laugh. I'm following his Alpha command, but I'm just taking my time. When I got to the house, Cory was there with a few warriors. “She’s not here. Where is she?” Cory growled, storming towards me. He probably thought I was going to coward away, but he stopped when he saw I stood my ground. “Did you think that she was going to stay here after what you did?” dad asked, making Cory look at him. “Watch how you speak to me, Bill. Don’t forget that I’m your Alpha now”, Cory growled, but dad rolled his eyes, which surprised me and I know that if this wasn't a serious conversation mom would have laughed. “Dad is right. You didn’t just reject your goddess given mate, but you also killed your pup”, I growled, making Cory go stiff while the warriors looked at each other in shock. “Leave!” Cory growled at the warriors, who quickly ran off. “What did you just say?” Cory growled as soon as we were alone. “You heard him, Alpha. After you mated Aksana, you got her pregnant. When you rejected her, she lost her pup. Our grand pup” mom growled telling Cory the truth. There was no reason to hide it. Cory leaned against the house, running his hands down his face. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, but to be honest, I don't care. I hope he is hurting knowing that he killed his own pup. “I… uh… I didn’t know” Cory said. “Of course you didn’t know. You were too busy sleeping with Ariana, while my sister suffered alone from your betrayal. Not to mention you commanded her to not tell us. She had to suffer alone, something noon should do” I growled. I wanted to punch him and teach him a lesson, but I knew that if I did what I wanted to do, I will lose my Beta position and maybe get banished and Aksana wouldn't be happy about that. “She still told you though,” Cory growled. He didn’t need to know that his Alpha command didn’t work on my sister. “She’s gone Cory, it’s best if you let her go, you owe her that much after what you did” I said, only for him to nod. For a moment, I saw the pain in his eyes before he masked it. He walked away from us before shifting into his massive brown wolf and running off. I heard a howl and I knew it was Cory. “Do you think he’s going to be okay?” mom asked. I knew her mom's instincts were kicking in. “Whatever he’s feeling, he deserves it. Aksana didn’t deserve to be rejected or to lose her pup, but he deserves what he’s feeling now”, dad said, and I nodded in agreement. “Let’s go inside and wait for her call” I said, and we walked inside. We sat on the sofa and watched tv waiting for Aksana’s call. ***
