Robert and Charles were outside, waiting for us when we arrived home. Before the car had stopped, Charles raced around to open the car door for his soon-to-be mother-in-law and wife. When the car stopped, Robert opened the door for me, and I dove straight into his arms, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"I missed you, too," Robert smiled, as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"We have a lot to discuss," I smiled.
Minerva approached us, and said, "King Robert, we do indeed have much to discuss. But, first let me introduce you to, Myles, Harper, and Hazel. They will be staying with you, until the dark witches are dealt with."
"Thank you all. I had Charles, my Gamma, who you all know, set some rooms up for you on his floor. I hope you have a good time here," Robert thanked them, shaking their hands.
"Minerva, forgive me for the interruption, but will you need my help for the protective spells," Lilith asked, while she had her arms linked with Felicity.
The three, staying with us, exchanged looks. It was almost like none of them wanted to be near her. Minerva's shoulders dropped, and she responded, "No, we should be able to do it among the four of us."
It was strange, it seemed like they didn't trust Lilith. I wonder why? It was something I would have to find out, but for now, I need to show this scroll to Robert.
Lilith nodded, and continued to help Charles get Felicity inside. I took Robert's hand.
"We will go inside, so I can show Robert this scroll. We will be in his office. If all four of you want to meet us there afterwards, I will have tea, coffee and sandwiches brought up."
"That would be amazing. Once we are done, we will be there. I will stay for the planning, but then I will have to go. Myles and Harper have both agreed to help you with that thing we discussed over the phone," Minerva explained.
I was grateful that she was being discreet about my powers while we were outside the palace. I was also grateful for the help.
"Yes, we will meet you inside," I nodded.
Robert and I headed inside, and up to his office. As we climbed the stairs, I asked, "Where are the children?"
"They are in my office with Quinn and Amelia. Charles should be there with Lilith and Felicity by now," Robert replied.
We approached the door to his office, opening it. I was first to enter the room, and as I did, an eruption of screams broke out, "Mummy!!"
All my children came running to me. I dropped to my knees, being tackled by Elijah, Elisa, Alexander, and Jayden. The cuddles were perfect from them. I gave each one of them a kiss on their foreheads.
"I am so glad I am home with my little ones. Now, if you can all go play with your toys in the corner, because Mummy and Daddy have some really important work to be doing," I told them.
They all rushed off into the corner. Jaxon was happily rolling around on his playmat. I went over and gave him a quick kiss. I headed to Robert's desk. Robert had already taken his seat at his desk.
"Now, let's have a look at this scroll," Robert asked, holding his hand out.
I handed him the scroll, and sat on the desk. I allowed him a short while to read. When he passed it over to Quinn, Amelia, and Charles, Robert rubbed his face, the worry evident in his face.
"I am not losing my son," Robert growled.
"We won't lose him. I will kill every last dark witch if I have to, but I will not lose him," I replied, calmly.
"Damn," Quinn burst out.
Amelia just looked at me with tears threatening to spill over. She rushed over to give me a hug, and whispered, "I am not going to let him get hurt, he could be my daughter's mate."
I smiled, I needed that hug more than I realised. Alexander, my son's life was at risk. I knew at some point I would break down. But for now, we had to prepare to protect him.
A moment later, there was a knock at the office door. Amelia returned to Quinn's side. Robert called out, "Come in."
Minerva, Myles, Harper, and Hazel entered the room. Minerva smiled, "I take it you have read the scroll."
"Yes, we have. From what I can tell, we just have to keep my son safe until the Blood Moon sets," Robert said.
"That seems to be the best plan. But between now and his birthday, we could be looking at several attempts to get him. Curses, magically created armies, and many other dangerous spells," Minerva explained.
"What will the protective spells protect you against," I asked Minerva.
"It will prevent people from seeing inside unless they are apart of your pack. It won't stop them from getting in, but they will only be able to walk in. They can't fly in. They won't be able to send spells through, but if they launch enough spells, they could break the protective spells."
"How far does the protective spell expand too," Robert inquired.
"We have marked the boundary of the spell, it covers some of the grounds around the palace, including. The swimming pool and patio. At least you will be able to take the kids outside to play," Minerva informed us.
"Is there not anything else you can do," Quinn interjected.
"Myles has a few theories of things that could work, but there isn't a guarantee they will work," Minerva sighed.
"We use charms to protect us from dark magic. It is possible they will work on your kind, but I will have to find a way of making it so the charms are on necklaces or bracelets that expand in length when you shift into your beasts," Myles informed us of his plan.
It would help protect Robert and the other members of our pack. That way they can fight.
"How many can you make? If there is a way to protect me or my pack, so we can fight, so I can protect my son, then please do, and tell me what you need," Robert asked.
"I have enough to make two hundred. I need a special gem that can only be mined from the mines at the mountains on our land. More are being mined but it will take time," Myles replied.
"Time is something we do not have," Robert groaned, in frustration.
"But, two hundred of those charms will be a good start. It will give our warriors protection, and our son more protection," I reassured him, as I took his hand in mine.
"Though I would love to stay, I need to return home and deal with increasing the mining and preparing more warriors," Minerva interrupted the discussion.
"I will see you out," Quinn said, rising from his seat to escort Minerva out.
After they left, Hazel stepped forward, and asked, "Minerva, swear us to secrecy about you. But, she told us that you were told by someone of significantly higher power that you were immune to all magic. Is that true?"
"In all honesty, I have no idea if I am, but that is what I was told. So, you are going to be helping me find out if it is true," I explained.
"I also need to train with Violet," Robert added.
"Forgive me, King Robert, but why would you need to train with Violet to find out if she is immune to magic," Harper asked.
I looked at him and nodded. Robert smiled, "Because I am mated to the first ever white lycan, and the fact that her blood courses through my veins, I have started to develop powers. Different to Violet's, but she is the best person to help me learn to control them and develop them."
Harper, Hazel and Myles exchanged looks of disbelief.
"We have been instructed to follow your orders and commands, and advise you when suited. So, what would you like us to do," Myles asked.
"Robert, I suggest we lock that scroll in our safe when the room is empty," he nodded, as I continued, "Myles, if you get on with those charms. Harper and Hazel, you will both meet me in the basement in two hours. We have a gym with no windows down there, it will be the safest place to train."
"But, first, all of you should rest for awhile. Your bags should be outside the rooms Charles had set up for you. He will show you to your rooms," Robert nodded towards Charles.
"Myles, if you need help with the charms, I can't do much other than care for the children, and where I have alittle knowledge of witch magic, then I would like to help," Felicity offered.
"I would be glad for the help, thank you Felicity," Myles thanked her.
"I am going to have a lie down before I help Myles," Felicity declared, as Charles helped her up.
Charles helped Felicity, with Lilith, Myles, Harper, and Hazel following behind him. They all left the room.
"I want to spend some time with my children before we train," I smiled.
"When you and Robert go off to train, me and Quinn will stay with the children," Amelia explained.
"Thank you," I thanked them, as Robert moved to lock the scroll in his office safe.
I was grateful for everything they had done for us. Now, if we had some protection, and these charms on the way, we stood a chance at protecting our son. I just needed to train to use my powers, and so did Robert.
We never know what the future is going to bring, or what the dark witches' next move will be. All I know, is I have to be ready.
