Chapter 2

It was still pitch black outside, when I met with Felicity and two Lycan bodyguards outside. I had kissed the children goodbye, and Robert had taken me down to the car, to say goodbye. Charles and Felicity were making out when we got downstairs, to say goodbye to each other. "Be safe, and hurry home. Let me know when you get there," Robert whispered, kissing me gently on the lips. "Take care of our kids, keep them safe. I love you," I whispered, giving him one final passionate kiss and hug. "I love you too," he said, as he squeezed me tightly. Releasing me from his embrace, I made my way to the car and climbed in. Felicity was being helped into the car by Charles. We waved goodbye, as the two Lycan bodyguards hopped in the car, and began to drive us to the good witches coven. Upon our arrival, we were to meet with Minerva, who was to take us into the Hall of Prophecies. Once done, we were to meet with Felicity's adoptive mother, Lilith, and return to the Palace with Lilith and Minerva. That was the plan at least, and hopefully it was not going to take too long. During the car journey, I turned to Felicity and asked, "Is there anything I should know about being on the good witches' lands?" "Not really. I would suggest you try to keep from getting cut, and if you do, I would suggest you clean up the blood and burn it or take the tissues with you. Dark witches can use the blood for spells, and if there is a traitor, they could take it and give it to them," Felicity replied. "Thank you, Felicity, for everything you do for me and my family." "You are my Queen, it is my duty to help you." "I might be the Queen, but we were friends before I became Queen, albeit for a short time. Nevertheless, I am still very grateful for all your help and support. You are a great Gamma female." "Thank you," Felicity smiled. The rest of the journey, we remained quiet. A lot was riding on us finding the scroll that continues the details of the curse. Without it, we may not fully be able to protect Alexander. No matter what I have to protect him, he is my son. When we finally arrived at the good witches' coven house, which is where Minerva lives, the records and the Hall of Prophecies are there too. Minerva was waiting outside for us, as our car pulled up. Our Lycan bodyguards opened the doors for us. Jonathan opened the car door for me, and helped me up. Oliver helped Felicity out of the car, which was a little longer than normal. "Welcome, Queen Violet and Gamma Felicity. Whenever you are ready, we will make our way to the Hall of Prophecies," Minerva welcomed me, as she gave me a hug and eventually gave Felicity a hug too. "Thank you for having us. Jonathan and Oliver will you both stay with the car," I ordered, and they both nodded. "Mindlink us if you need us, your majesty," Jonathan added, as I sent a text to Robert to inform him of our arrival. I nodded, linking my arm with Felicity, to support her, "Ready when you are, Minerva." Minerva nodded, and turned on her heels, leading us into her home. Her home was like one of those old-styled mansions, looked a little like a castle. That was at least what the structure looked like. The interior was very modern, with the latest tech and furniture. She led us to a winding downward spiral staircase. As we descended the staircase, I asked, "Minerva, did you have a look for the scroll I mentioned?" "I did try but there are a lot of scrolls down there. The scroll, you are after, could be in one of three sections. But, I managed to narrow that down to two sections," she replied. "What were the sections," Felicity inquired. It was a question that most certainly needed to be answered. "The three sections were, the werewolf/lycan prophecies, the curse prophecies, and finally, the moon prophecies. I have checked the werewolf/lycan section, thinking it would most likely be there, seen as it is a curse on your lycan son, Violet," Minerva explained. "So, we need to search for the curse section and the moon section," I spoke, as we reached a door at the bottom of the stairwell. A door that was clearly labelled the Hall of Prophecies. Minerva pulled a key from around her neck, placed it in the key hole, and muttered something, as she turned the key. The door lock clicked, and Minerva turned the door handle, opening the door. We entered the room, to behold stacks and stacks of scrolls upon oak shelves. The room stretched as far as a Lycan eye could see. "This way," Minerva urged us on. Leading us to a table with chairs between two shelves. The wall in between the two shelves was highly decorated with what looked like a mural of a blood moon. I was drawn to it for some reason. I hadn't even noticed when Minerva said, "This shelf is the curses section, and that shelf is the moon section." She pointed to the right first, and then the left. I ignored the feeling, and replied, "Let's get to work." A few hours had passed, we were half way through the shelves. Minerva and Felicity had cleared through many more scrolls than I had done. The feeling of being drawn to that mural was growing stronger the longer I was near it, making it almost impossible to ignore it. "Minerva, how long has that mural been here," I asked. "Generations, I believe. Why?" "I don't know, I have just had this strange feeling about it. It has been getting stronger the longer, I am near it." "Could it be that is where the scroll," Felicity asked. I shrugged, "There is only one way to find out." I rose from my seat. Minerva immediately stood up too. We walked over to the mural on the wall. "Maybe there is a hidden catch or something that will open a hidden drawer or shelf," Minerva said, as she began to touch the wall, trying to feel for a hidden catch. It made sense that there would be a hidden catch, but she wasn't having any luck. I thought it would be best if I tried to help her. So, I moved closer to the wall, bring my hands up, I touched the spot I was most drawn too, the Blood Moon image. The moment I touched it, the mechanism began to move, and so did the Blood Moon. It was a door that rolled to the side, revealing a safe. We gasped, shocked that my simple touch could reveal a secret safe, that clearly Minerva didn't even know was there. We looked inside, and I pulled out a single scroll. Minerva and I sat back down with Felicity, opening the scroll to read it. We laid it flat on the table, placing weights at either end of the scroll, to keep it from rolling back up. A title could be seen clearly across the top, "The Blood Moon Curse." I began reading aloud, "The Blood Moon Curse is firstly a spell. A spell that will change everything. The caster will be able to change the past, present and future. But, the spell requires a blood sacrifice. Blood of the third born child of the creature that becomes the most powerful creature to ever exist. The child will be born on a Blood Moon, and bare a moon-shaped birth mark. When the spell is cast, the blood of the child will be drained. If the spell is completed by the dark witches, as foretold, they will take control of both the supernatural and human worlds. Many will die, and for those still alive, they will be enslaved. The spell can only be performed when the Blood Moon is at its highest peak. But, when it starts to set, the spell will no longer work, and the child will be free to live out his life, because it can only work on his third birthday, under his third Blood Moon." "So, all we have to do is keep him secure until the Blood Moon passes on his third birthday," Felicity said. "It appears that way, but how are we going to protect him against dark witches," I asked. "Well, that is where I come in. The agreement generations ago was that the Lycan pack rules over the creatures and deals with their punishments. The good witch coven was to deal with the dark witch coven. You are to protect us from creatures, but we are to protect you from witches. That was the agreement. I will gather a few of my best witches, and we will perform protective spells. I will leave those witches with you, they will keep the spells strong and will inform me if you need back up," Minerva explained. "Thank you. Well, we had better make a move back home. The longer I am away the more danger there is for my pack and my children," I spoke, as I rolled the scroll back up and held on to it tightly, standing back up. "Agreed, Lilith and my three best witches should be outside waiting for us with a car," Minerva said, as she stood up and helped Felicity to her feet. We made our way out of the Hall of Prophecies, and climbed back up the stairs. After walking out of the house, another car was parked behind my car, with three witches and Lilith waiting in the car. "Mum," Felicity shouted, as she and Lilith rushed towards each other, or as fast as Felicity could rush. They embraced, as Lilith beamed, "Felicity, you have gotten so big. How is the little troublemaker?" "Active as always," Felicity smiled back. "It is good to see you again, Lilith," I smiled. "Queen Violet," she spoke, as she bowed to me. "Queen Violet, I would like to introduce to you, Harper, Hazel, and Myles. These are three of the best warrior witches and warlocks I have. They are also close friends with Felicity, and volunteered for this mission," Minerva explained, as I shook each one of their hands. "It is a pleasure to meet you all. I also want to thank you all for volunteering to help protect my son," I thanked them. "We will do anything we can to help. We know Charles and Felicity will do anything they can to help, so we will do the same," Harper smiled. "Queen Violet, can I sit in the car with you and Felicity," Lilith asked me. "Of course, will you be staying awhile at the palace," I inquired. "Yes, if that is okay. My bags are with the rest in that car," she replied. "I will call ahead, and have rooms prepared for each of you. Minerva, how about you? Jonathan, help Felicity and Lilith in to the car." "Once the protective spells are complete, I must return home," Minerva responded, as Jonathan nodded, and began assisting Felicity and Lilith. "I need to make a phone call, and I will make that in the car. Shall we go," I said, as I pulled my phone from my inside jacket pocket, still clutching the scroll in my other hand. We all moved to our cars and got in. I began dialling Robert's mobile phone, just incase he wasn't in his office. It barely rung, before he answered. "Violet, is everything okay? Do you need more men," he asked, almost panicked. I probably should have texted him more often, so he knew I was okay. "Robert, we are on our way home. We have found the scroll. It was a good thing I went, because the scroll was hidden behind a wall. Minerva couldn't open it, but with my touch it opened," I explained. "Well, I want to see this scroll the moment you get home," Robert replied. "Of course. Anyway, Lilith, two witches, and a warlock will be staying with us for the foreseeable future. Can you have Charles get some maids to prepare some rooms on the Gamma floor," I asked. "Yes, I will. How long will you be there? I miss you." "I miss you, too. We have only just left." I could hear the children screaming with laughter and running around in the background. "Alright, I love you and see you soon." "I love you, too. Have fun with the kids." "Honestly, I don't know how you run around after all these kids. You are certainly an amazing woman." "Practice, my love. See you soon, goodbye." "Goodbye, babe," Robert said, before we both hung up. "Are the kids driving him crazy," Felicity asked. "What ever is happening there, I am expecting a mess of toys when we get home. He is getting Charles to sort rooms out on the Gamma floor," I replied. "I would like them on my floor. It would be good to spend time with my friends and my mother." "I thought you would." After a short while of discussion, we fell silent for the rest of the journey home, which felt so much longer than the journey to the witches' coven.
