CHAPTER 13

Everyone ended up freshening up after the intense training session we had, Grace and Stacey made us all coffee and some snacks to give us all energy, particularly to break the tension that had aired between Sebastian and I.

Evan and Kevin had to do some pack business with all the other Packs being around, so they excused themselves and offered to take everyone with them so they could meet up with their pack, but Sebastian politely declined while staring at me intensely. Evan gave me a questionable look so I gave him a reassuring smile so he would leave to do his job.

"Curtis can you take Grace and Stacey to where we are meant to be stay?" Sebastian asks

"I certainly can, you ready girls?"

Grace looks at me as if to ask if I will be right, so I give her a smile also to ease her worry, so they get up and grab their things and head out the door after saying goodbye. Curtis stops at the front door and says to Sebastian with a smirk on his face. "Don't mess this up! We need our Luna, and no one will replace her if she turns you down for being a dick."

A growl erupts from Sebastian along with a hateful look, "Just leave Curtis." was all he said.

Curtis turns to me with a smile and says "Please go easy on him Luna, he's still learning. It was great meeting and training with you, we'll talk soon."

"It was nice meeting you too Curtis, bye." with that he closes the door behind him, and I'm now stuck here alone with my mate.

"We really need to talk Carter about last night and us."

"There isn't anything to talk about Sebastian I accept your rejection now you can be on your way." That hurt, why did I say that god Carter why are you so stubborn!

"Carter, I do not wish to reject you, you are my mate and I will not allow any rejection. You will be My Luna." He says I can see he is being honest in his words.

"Oh, that wasn't what you were think last night when we met, I could see it in your eyes. Your wolf accepted me right away you didn't why?" I ask

"Honestly I let everyone else's views cloud my own judgement. I am truly sorry I had any doubt in you Carter. I want you. I need you. Please give me a chance to prove it to you." He's begging me a future Alpha is begging me for a second chance.

"Because you were honest with me Sebastian, I will allow you a second chance to prove that what you say is true. But I'll tell you one thing that might help you never underestimate me." I say giving him a smile

I can see the light shine in his eyes as I say I will give him a chance. "You have made me a very happy future Alpha Carter, I will definitely not underestimate you, especially after your training session." I can't help but smile my wolf is over joy that I have forgiven him, I can see that his wolf is too.

"So, can you tell me about yourself Carter? Especially why you are so distant from people in you pack?"

"My mother died when I was 5 she saved the Luna who is also my God mother, after that happened my dad and I both took it very hard and which we resulted to excessive training as a way of coping, he is the reason I'm so strong he taught me everything I know against the Alphas wishes." I start to tear up. "My father always had respect in the pack as he was the head warrior even more so after the event that killed his mate. I on the other hand was always a handful for him and anyone else tasked with watching me, eventually only the Luna had the patients to give me time knowing exactly why I was playing up." Sebastian gives me a confused look. "I can switch my emotion off thanks to my training, I can endure more pain then anyone when I switch it off. Everyone assumed I was just rude and had no respect and would say it was because I didn't have a mother to teach me. They were wrong I was taught respect, I chose to only give it to those who showed me the respect, I will always abide by that rule."

"I still don't understand what being able to switch your emotions off has to do with not being one with your pack?" he says confused

"Because I was 5 when my mother died I started my training then, in order to make my father proud and become the strongest warrior around I had to endure the pain the other way was turning my emotions off, when I was seeing everyone else with their mothers growing up or have people take at me about my mother it caused me pain I didn't want to have so I shut it off most of the time. when I don't have it on, I become cold with everyone. That is why they do not like me; they do not understand the impact it has ever had on me." I say not wanting to look at him anymore.

"I'm Sorry you had to go through all of that Carter, you don't need to tell me anymore, I can already understand where you are coming from you will never have to feel like that with my pack princess, I will make sure of it." he says while running his hand along my cheek in a sympathetic way.

Suddenly I realise that this will mean I will have to leave my dad sooner than I ever wanted. "Would you give me more time with my dad, before you take me back to your pack? Please." I slightly beg.

He looks at me with a loveable look " Of cause princess, I will do anything for you! Your Alpha has already given us some time here after what happened last night... Evan told both of them."

"Would you please allow my sister and Stacey to stay with you at least until your dad gets back? it would make me feel a lot better knowing you have someone here with you." he asked

"I would actually like that since my friends can't really stay here, that would be great I really enjoyed their company last night. Please don't make them if they do not want too." I say worried they don't like me.

"Oh, don't stress princess, Grace and Stacey haven't shut up in my head about you since they left." he says with a smirk. "Why can't your friends stay here?"

"My only friends are humans they don't know about us, but me and Maney have been friends since pre-school and Charlie came into our group in grade 1." I say proudly he gives me a look of I guess you could say jealousness.

"Yes, Maney is a boy and Charlie is a girl." I add "Regardless of what you’re thinking about Maney, you are wrong he is like the brother I've never had, and I've trained him well enough to kick your but if you tried." I give him a smug look and a wink.

He laughs and drops the subject "Well, they are both on their way back apparently our parents have asked to meet you tonight for dinner. If you’re not ready, please don't feel like you have to." I give him a slightly worried look.

"Hey if your dad comes home before dinner tonight, I guess we can both feel under pressure meeting parents." he says trying to make a joke out of it.

"Yeah, okay we can do dinner." I hear a car pull up but it's not my dad’s car, so I assume it is the girls coming back. When they knock on the door Sebastian opens it and the girls come rushing in, Sebastian says goodbye and that he will see me tonight and leaves. Grace and Stacey ask me 21 questions about what happen when they left and were bugging me about what I was going to wear tonight for diner....
