CHAPTER 10

Luna had organised a fancy Black Hummer to come and escort us to where the ceremony is being held, I had never been in a hummer before it was like it was custom made as the back seats had two so you were facing each other, ther doors were a double that opened at the same time so everyone could see both people. This was really impressive very roomy and classy inside but simple all at once, everything was actually perfect.

We pull up and everyone is standing around like they were waiting for their Luna to arrive before heading in, I started to get worried as no one had ever really accepted me and now im about to exit the car with the Luna. Oh moon goddess please give me strength.

"Kate are you sure we should exit the car together?" She notices my worry but gives me a big smile and nods like she had planned this.

I give her my best fake smile and go to open the doors but she stops me and waits for Alpha John and Evan to appear on either side were they both opened each door and hold their hands out for us to exit the hummer.

Alpha John reached for my hand and helped me out and Evan done the same for his mother.

"Happy Birthday Carter, I see my wife did a beautiful job making you look extra special tonight." Alpha says with a proud smile.

"Thank you, She has definitely made me one happy girl tonight Alpha." I say with gratitude

Alpha walks over to hit wife and complements her on all her effort, the love those two have I hope one day I'll get that. Evan comes and stands by my side looking at me in adoration.

"Happy Birthday Carter, you look beautiful! Would you do me the honors of being my escort into the ceremony?"

"Thank you Evan, I'd love to."

Luna and Alpha walk in forst followed by Evan and myself, I can't help but notice a lot of the other she wolves give me dirty looks like I've stolen something off them, what takes me off gaurd is when a few look clueless as to who I am and question if I am Evans mate.

As we enter the ceremony everyone else follows in and start to mingle with each other slowly the place is getting packed with all the other packs arriving and settling in. Luna really did a beautiful job at decorating. All the trees out side are beautifully decorated with Twinkling fairy lights that have a warm white glow to them, white llantins strung up above everyone's heads, flowers everywhere it is truly a master piece.

Kevin and the others make their way over to Evan and I with massive smiles while we all wait for Alpha and Luna to announce the ceremony.

"You look ravishing Carter, everyone is so envious of you tonight! I love it!" Kevin says while giving me a hug. "Happy Birthday"

"Awh thank you Kevin, you don't look to bad yourself!" I say with a smirk. "How you holding up after our sparing session yesterday?"

He laughs "I'll be honest because it's your birthday but I'm definitely still a little sore." I giggle.

After 30 minutes of typical conversations suddenly Alpha and Luna are on stage welcoming everyone to tonight's ceremony and wishing everyone the best and happy finding. Just when I think Alpha is finished he does something I would never of thought he would.

"Now before I go and mingle with these other lovely Alphas and Lunas and leave you guys be, I'd just like to wish my beautiful God daughter Carter Morgan a Happy Birthday for today who is looking so beautiful tonight, your mother would be so proud of you as are we." He grabs Lunas hand and they both smile at me, while I'm standing there gobsmacked that I've officially been accepted as part of the pack in front over everyone. Kevin and Evan have the biggest smiles on their faces and start a clapping scene where everyone joined in.

To say I'm happy and embarrassed is an understatement. Evan and the others went and mingled with their other friends for a while which left me alone, so I decided I'd walk over to the lake and have a breather from everyone that was still looking at me in surprise as to who I am to the Alpha and Luna, mind you the girls that were giving me dirty were I guess relieved I wasn't Evans mate.

I love the sound of the lake softly hitting the shore, it's so peaceful and relaxing. I suddenly hear a couple of girls walking over to me which ironically means trouble especially for me, I turn around and see a few unfamiliar faces so they aren't from my pack. One of the girls walks in front as if to get to me first.

"Hello Carter, my name is Grace we are from the Purple moon pack, my father is the Alpha. We just wanted to come and wish you a happy birthday, we noticed you was all alone and figured you might want some friends regardless of being in different packs." I stare directly into her eyes and she was being completely sincere.

I smile at her so she knows I'm not being cautious anymore. " Oh thank you, it's nice to meet you, My dad's the head warrior of our pack. I'd actually love some friends to be honest I don't really have any in my own." I say while rubbing the back of my neck.

"We know, we have heard a lot of different things from the other she wolves in your pack, the name is Stacey, I don't like to listen to bullshit from others I like to get to know someone myself." She says with a smile

"Nice to meet you Stacey, I'm glad to hear that. Most of them don't like me because i tend to get into fights when people disrespect my friends who can't defend themselves against us." I say awkwardly.

"Omg your friends with human?" They all say at the same time.

"Yeah my best friends are Maney and Charlie we have been friends since pre school. They don't know about us so I've always stood up for them, they were the only ones whoever accepted me for me." I respond proudly.

They all smile at me like I'm some goddess from above. "That is incredible! They are all just jealous that you have a natural tendency to care for others." Grace says like she knows something, but I brush it off.

"Well we think it's time to mingle and attempt to find mates." Stacey says.

I look at them " How about we just go and have some fun and if our mates rock up we go from there?"

"Hell yeah!" They all say

So we head back over and enjoy the dancing and music at the same time as getting to know each other. Turns out Grace, Stacey and I have a lot in common, While we were making our way off the dance floor we bump into a group of guys which happen to be from the Purple moon pack also.

"Sebastian you and your friends need to watch it!" Grace yells, I guess she know him I think to myself.

"Easy little sis, sure you don't need to open your eyes." He responds with a smirk. Well that makes sense

"Your only older by 2 minutes Sebastian." Grace rolls her eyes.

I notice Sebastian enhail then suddenly his eyes spring opened wide towards me... what is happening suddenly I felt a bit self cautious so I go to smell myself instead of my own smell I get this amazing smell like Ocean with a hint of musk, I look up and realise what is happening... He's my Mate...
