Chapter Fourteen Part Two

3920 Words
Right before Renesmee noticed Jacob had arrived at the party... Jacob’s P.O.V. Once we finished pack stuff, Quil, Embry, and I went to the pack house to get ready. I took a shower and went to my closet to choose slim blue jeans and a comfy red plaid shirt. Then I slipped on my Hudson Fleming boots and dashed to the bathroom to put mousse in my hair to keep it up. Afterward, I headed out. I grabbed my keys, phone, and leather jacket. I had my graduation gift for Renesmee. I then headed downstairs to see Embry and Quil ready. “You guys ready? Sam’s pack is taking over patrol tonight, so we’re good,” I said. “Yeah,” Embry and Quil said. Since Quil and Embry got motorcycles, we all headed to ours. With helmets on, we got on. We turned on our motorcycles and left, with the two following me. We arrived at Cullen’s house 25 minutes later. We heard loud music coming from inside. I removed my helmet and put it down, watching Embry and Quil smirking at home as they got their motorcycles. “What a party,” Quil said. “Same, let’s go inside,” Embry said. They both ran towards the house, and I caught a whiff of the fantastic smell I adored. I smiled, knowing that my imprintee was there. Embry caught a whiff of his crush and dashed inside without even searching for her. Quil laughed, and we went inside with Embry. Renesmee’s P.O.V. I freaked out when I saw Jacob, Embry, and Quil coming in and started pacing. Should I tell him what happened? Nothing happened, but something could have happened to Isaac if I hadn’t stopped it. I don’t want Jacob to freak out and cause trouble with Isaac in front of everyone. I’ll chat with him about it after the party. I went back inside and saw Jacob and Quil scoping the place. Jacob sniffed the air and spotted me right away. Jacob smiled at me and went over. Then, he stopped right in front of me with a smile. “Hey,” I said. “Hi,” Jacob said. Jacob checked me out, so I did a little twirl to show off my outfit. “You like it?” I asked. Jacob’s eyes filled with desire, and I smirked, knowing he was into it. “Very. You look amazing.” Jacob said. I blushed a little. “Thanks. I’ve gotten a lot of comments, though. I must look terrific.” I said. Jacob asked, “Who said you look good?” Oops, I shouldn’t have said that. I looked at him with a nervous expression. “I Hum...” I said. Jacob moved closer, grabbed my arms, and asked, “Who said it?” “Some friends and family,” I responded. “Oh... but what friends?” “It doesn’t matter, Jacob. Can we enjoy the party? I’m glad you’re here.” Jacob sighed and nodded. “Fine,” he said. I smiled. “Good. Come on,” I said. I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the dance floor, but he stopped me. “Wait, I got you something for you,” Jacob said. I looked at Jacob, surprised. “What, you didn’t have to. I need nothing.” I said. “I know, but this is something special I wanted to give you,” Jacob said. “What is it?” Before he answered, Jacob whipped out a little box, and I gave him a look of curiosity. Then he opened it, and I saw a silver promise ring with something written on it. “I got you this because I want everyone to know you’re mine,” Jacob said. “Everyone already knows I’m yours,” I said. “Yeah, but not everyone,” Jacob said. “Oh, okay. What does it say?” Jacob said nothing but showed me the ring up close. I read it, and the ring said His one. I looked up at him, and he smiled. “That’s cheesy, you know,” I said. “Yep, that’s why I got it,” Jacob said. I chuckled. Jacob’s expression was worried. “Do you like it?” he asked. “I got the words carved.” “Yeah, I love it, but isn’t there supposed to be another ring for you?” I asked. “Yeah, I already have it on. Here, look.” Jacob showed me his right hand with the ring on his finger. I grabbed his hand to look at it. It said Her only, and it didn’t have a heart like mine. “Awe, I like it,” I said. Jacob smiled. “I’m glad you did,” he said. “So, are you going to put it on me?” I asked. “Oh yeah,” Jacob responded. I chuckled, and Jacob removed it from the box. I gave him my right hand, and he put the ring on my finger. Then I slipped it on my finger and grinned. Then Jacob pulled me in. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered something that gave me goosebumps. “You will always be mine,” Jacob whispered. Jacob kissed my neck, growling. “Why do you smell like another guy?” My eyes widened as Jacob looked down at me with a curious expression. I forgot other guys were touching me throughout the night. “Oh, hum...” I said. “Who touched you, Nessie?” Jacob asked in a severe tone. “Hum...” I said. I expected this, but something different. “Tell me, Nessie,” Jacob commanded. Telling Jacob was unavoidable. I sighed. “Before you arrived, I danced with a few guys,” I said. “What?” Jacob growled. “Who were they!” I noticed that Jacob’s eyes had gotten darker again, and his wolf wanted to take control. “Jacob, calm down. It’s not a big deal. You weren’t here, so some guys danced with me.” I said. Jacob growled louder, “No, Nessie. Who touched what’s mine?” he asked. I placed my hand on Jacob’s chest to calm him down. “Jacob, please...” I pleaded. “Was it Isaac? Was it Mason? Or was it a random guy from your school?” Jacob asked. I said nothing and looked down. “It’s all them, isn’t it?” Jacob asked. Jacob saw my expression and knew he was correct. “I knew it!” he exclaimed. Jacob tried to move past me, but I grabbed Jacob’s arm to stop him. “Jacob, wait. It is not a big deal. Nothing happened.” I said. Jacob ignored me, moved my hand off his arm, and walked away. I knew his wolf was furious, and he had no control. I followed Jacob, then I yelled, “Jacob!” Jacob looked around for Isaac, I’m assuming, on the dance floor and in the kitchen. I caught up to him, grabbing his arm, but he pulled my hand off again. “No, Nessie!” he growled. Jacob walked past me once more, and I let out a frustrated sigh. I spotted Isaac talking to some guys with a drink in his hand. I rushed over before Jacob could catch him. “Hey, Renesmee wants up?” Isaac asked. Before I could speak, a growl interrupted me—it was Jacob. “Isaac!” he yelled. My eyes widened. I turned and walked to Jacob. I placed my hands on his chest and tried to stop him from reaching for Isaac. “Jacob, you’ve got to stop. He did nothing.” Isaac looked at us with curiosity as he walked over to us. “What’s going on?” he asked. “You know what you did. How dare you touch what’s mine!” Jacob yelled. Isaac looked curious. Then he realized something. His eyes widened. “Oh, I’m so sorry, man. Nothing happened. We danced. That’s all.” He said, raising his hands. “Dance? Then how come she smells like you?” Jacob asked. “We danced to a slow song, so I had to touch her.” Jacob looked at me with a curious expression, assuring me he was telling the truth. “It’s true, Jacob. Nothing happened. He’s my friend,” I said. “She’s telling the truth,” Isaac said. “Then who did?” Jacob asked. “I don’t know. That’s something you will have to ask Renesmee.” Isaac left. Jacob looked at me, curious. “Who touched you, Nessie?” “Jacob,” I said. “Tell me, Nessie.” I sighed. “Jacob, I don’t know the guy. It was a random guy from school,” I said. “What? You let a random guy touch you?” Jacob growled. I nodded with a frown. I looked away from Jacob, aware that he felt disappointed in me. Jacob had sadness in his eyes now. “Why?” he asked. “I was drunk, and you weren’t here for fun. It’s not a big deal, though; it was only a short time before the guy discovered it was me. He then knew I was with you, and we danced beside each other. Nothing else happened.” I responded. Jacob sighed. “At least he respected his boundaries,” he said. “Yeah.” I said. “I’m still mad, though. Doesn’t these rings mean anything to you?” Jacob grasped my hand and showed me the promised ring. “This ring shows you’re mine. No one else can,” he explained. “I know, but...” I said. “Forget it, Nessie. I thought this meant something to you.” “Jacob...” “I can’t talk to you right now.” Jacob walked away from me before I could grab him. “Jacob, you’re being ridiculous!” I yelled. Jacob didn’t listen and still walked away from me. Jacob’s P.O.V. I walked away, and even though she was yelling, I ignored her. I can’t talk to her right now. How could she pull this on me? I marked her. I asked her to marry me and gave her a promised ring. Now she’s dancing with someone else. She’s all over him, letting him touch her. How could she? I took a deep breath and stepped onto the porch. I heard someone coming and saw Quil behind me. “Hey, Jacob. What’s wrong? Why aren’t you with Renesmee?” Quil asked. I responded, “Needed a minute away from her and fresh air.” “Why? Did something happen?” Quil asked. I sighed and looked at Quil. “Other men touched her,” I responded. Quil looked at me with an amused expression. “That’s why you’re upset?” he asked. “Yep.” I responded. “I thought it could have been worse, like she was kissing someone else.” I looked at Quil with a curious expression. “She didn’t cheat on you, Jacob. All she did was dance with them. She wanted to have some fun. That’s all. I know Renesmee, and she wouldn’t cheat on you.” Quil said. “I know, but...” I said. “No buts, dude. Go apologize to her.” I groaned. “Fine,” I said. “Good, now go,” Quil said. I returned inside to search for Renesmee. I walked to the living room to check if she was there since everyone was dancing. She wasn’t. I spotted Chloe, approached her, and tapped her on the shoulder. Chloe broke away from Henry and turned to me. “Oh hey, Jacob,” she said. “Hey, do you know where Renesmee is? We fought, and I need to make it up to her.” I said. “Wait, what happened?” “I got upset about her touching Isaac and a couple of guys,” “Why wouldn’t you be?” My eyes widened. Is Chloe defending me? I shook it off. “Well, do you know where she is?” I asked. “Hum, she said she was going upstairs,” Chloe responded. “Oh, okay, thanks.” “You are welcome, Jacob.” “Yeah.” “I hope you guys make up. I hate seeing you guys fight.” “Thanks, Chloe.” “No problem.” I then walked away and headed upstairs. Renesmee’s P.O.V. After Jacob and I fought, I told Chloe I was going upstairs to take a breather. I entered the bedroom and closed the door. I went over to the bed, plopped down, and sighed, tired. Jacob and I fighting is so tiring. I get it. Couples fight, but this is happening way too much. I looked down at the promised ring that Jacob gave me and admired it. He got this for me from his heart. I smiled and considered Jacob’s words. What he said was true. He has done a lot for me, and I was wrong. I don’t get why I let them touch me. I should have apologized to him. Leaving the bedroom, a knock on the door caught my attention. “Who is it?” I asked as I set up. “It’s Jacob. Can we talk?” Jacob asked. “Yeah, come in.” When Jacob opened the door, we locked eyes; he seemed guilty. I stood up, approached him, and hugged him. His frozen expression surprised him; he hugged me. Stepping back, I gazed at him, saying, “I’m sorry, Jacob. You’re right. Letting those guys touch me was a mistake; I was stupid.” “No, it’s okay. I overacted and shouldn’t have taken it like I did,” Jacob said. “No, Jacob. You had a reason to. I shouldn’t have allowed them to touch me when I was with you.” “It’s okay, Nessie. It’s not a big deal anywhere. I forgive you.” “Really.” “Yes, and do you forgive me?” I couldn’t stay mad at him anymore. I knew his wolf would make him act this way, but I still loved him too much to hate him. I nodded, and then Jacob grinned and leaned in for a kiss. I kissed him, too. Jacob pulled me in and kissed me harder. I wrapped my arms around his neck. After a minute, we separated, and our gazes met. “We should head back downstairs to where everyone else is,” Jacob said. I nodded, and Jacob took my hand, and we headed back downstairs. We saw Chloe, Henry, Hannah, and Embry tearing up on the dance floor when we went downstairs. Jacob grinned and dragged me to the dance floor. We stood next to my friends, and Jacob placed his hands on my waist. I put my arms around his neck and swayed to a slow jam. I couldn’t find Courtney, but then I remembered she and Mason were getting cozy. I smiled at Jacob, and he looked at me. I looked at Jacob with a curious expression. “What?” I asked. “What are you smiling about?” Jacob asked. “Oh, how Mason and Courtney are getting a little cozy now.” Jacob raised an eyebrow. “What? Mason and Courtney?” he asked. “I know. Same, but after looking at them, they are cute together,” I said. Jacob nodded, asking, “Where is she now?” “Making out somewhere,” I responded with a laugh. Jacob nodded again. “Probably,” he said. Another Ed Sheeran song, Photograph, came on, and I squealed. Jacob looked at me like I was crazy and chuckled, and I slapped his arm. “Ow, what was that for?” Jacob asked. “Even though it didn’t hurt that much,” “That’s not funny. I like this song.” I said. Jacob looked at me with amusement. “I can tell. You screamed in my ear,” he said. I looked at Jacob and wrapped my arms around his neck. Jacob pulled me in, and we danced to music again. I put my hand on his chest, and he rested his chin on my head. Why did he show up late? “Jacob?” I asked. Jacob moved his head so that I could look up into his eyes. “Yeah,” he responded. “Did you find anything about the vampire family?” I asked. “Huh, not quite, but we caught their scent on my land tonight. I wish I could know why they want Sophia. It’s bizarre, though, that Zachary wants Sophia when they’re related, you know?” “Yeah, thinking about it. Zachary must have another reason for wanting her.” “Yeah, same because it makes little sense at all.” I thought for a second about this. Why would Zachary want Sophia as his? It has to be something; why is he doing it? Like Mason, Zachary wants to manipulate her to achieve his goals with the Volturi. “Jacob, the Volturi wants Sophia,” I said. “That can’t be,” Jacob said. “The Volturi haven’t met Sophia and want to ensure she’s not a threat.” “Well, she’s not. She’s like you.” “I know. The truth must be told to them.” “How will you accomplish that?” “I don’t know, but first, we must tell the family later.” “Alright.” We kept dancing, and Jacob spun me around, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Jacob dipped me, and I was so nervous he might drop me. Jacob didn’t do it, though. Jacob then made me smile when he lifted me and hugged me. Jacob then buried his face in my neck and said something. “I love you,” Jacob said. I smiled at Jacob’s words. “I love you too,” I said. Jacob started nibbling on my earlobe. He kissed me on my mark. I held onto his shirt to keep from falling. It’s wild how a kiss can make me weak for him. He smirked and gave me a hickey. Trying hard not to moan, I bit my lip. “Jacob,” I said. Jacob said nothing and kept kissing and sucking my neck. He kissed my collarbone and then went back up to my neck. Then Jacob whispered in my ear. “Did I tell you how good you look in this tight dress?” he asked. My breath caught in my throat, and I couldn’t speak. Jacob smirked and kissed me on my ear and jaw. Then he made it to my lips, and his lips grazed mine. God, now he’s making me want him right now. I felt a burning sensation in my core and bit my lip. Jacob saw it and kissed me. I kissed him back, hugged him, and pulled on his hair. This made him groan. He nibbled on my lip, and I let out a moan. Jacob broke the kiss and spoke before I could. “Want to leave?” “What about the party? I can’t leave.” I responded. “They will be fine.” I observed everyone dancing and enjoying themselves, and I spoke. “Fine, let me tell my friends where I’m going, so if my parents ask, they will know.” “Okay,” Jacob said. Jacob took his hands off my waist as I walked over to Chloe. “Chloe,” I said. “Yeah,” Chloe said. “Jacob and I are leaving.” “Wait, what? Where are you going?” “We want to get out of here.” Chloe contemplated and smirked about our plans. “Okay, have fun,” she said. I rolled my eyes and walked back to Jacob. “Are you ready?” Jacob asked. “Yep,” I responded. “Let’s go.” Jacob led me through the crowd, took me downstairs, and we left. We headed over to his motorcycle. I got on the bike and wrapped my arms around Jacob’s waist. “So, where do you want to go?” Jacob asked. “How about we get some ice cream?” I asked. “Okay.” We pulled out, and we headed onto the road. We drove for fifteen minutes until we got to the town and drove through it. “So, what’s the place we are going to?” I asked. “It’s called J.T.’s Sweet Stuffs. It’s not too far,” Jacob responded. “Okay,” Jacob turned right, and we followed a different road. After ten minutes, we passed buildings until we saw the J.T.’s Sweet Stuffs sign. We pulled in, Jacob parked his bike, and we hopped off and took off our helmets. Then we went inside, holding hands. Upon entering, an ice cream line awaited us. We hopped in line and waited for our turn. When it was our turn, I conveyed my desired item to the lady at the register. I got the mint chocolate chip, and he got the chocolate brownie. After that, she told us how much. “It will be 6.38,” the lady said. I looked through my wallet, but Jacob stopped me. “Let me pay for it. It would be our little treat,” he said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes. “Okay,” I said. Jacob paid for it, and we went and sat down at an empty table. Once we sat down, I dug into the ice cream and couldn’t help but moan with delight. When I did, I saw Jacob watching me with amusement. I looked at Jacob with curiosity. “What?” I asked. “Nothing. You’re so cute when you eat like that,” Jacob responded. I blushed and continued eating my ice cream. Jacob’s expression got serious as he spoke. “So I have some bad news,” Jacob said. “What’s the bad news?” I asked. “Well, I hate to do it, but we must move the wedding up more since this vampire search is happening.” “What, why?” “Nessie, we have to. I don’t want to either, but I don’t want these bloodsuckers to ruin our wedding and honeymoon. I want it to be special, with no one interrupting us.” I sighed, knowing Jacob was right. I want our wedding to be unforgettable. I want to enjoy our honeymoon without interruptions. “Okay, fine,” I said. “Wait, you’re fine with it?” Jacob asked. “Yeah.” “Okay, great.” We devoured our ice cream and then took off. Before hopping on the bike, Jacob and I threw on helmets, and I hugged him tight. “Where do you want to go now? We could go back to my place?” Jacob asked. I said nothing, smirked, and started kissing and sucking his neck. When Jacob tensed up and groaned, I couldn’t help but smile. I then whispered in his ear as I continued to kiss his neck. “Let’s go to your place,” Jacob’s eyes widened at what I was thinking and growled. “Renesmee,” he said. I continued to suck his neck, and he groaned again in frustration. “If you don’t stop. I’ll take you right here,” he said. I laughed and moved back. Jacob pulled out, and we headed onto the road.
