Chapter Ten

Renesmee’s P.O.V The next day, I got up and showered and washed my hair and body. I then dried and left the bathroom. Sophia left the bedroom because she wasn’t in bed. I went over to my drawer with my towel still on and opened it. While I did that, I heard a growl behind me, so I spun around, clutching my towel. Jacob was lying on my bed, looking at me, all hot and bothered. My eyes went wide. I didn’t even hear him come in. “J... Jacob, then...how did you get in here? I didn’t....” I said. Looking at the door, I saw that neither I nor anyone else had opened or closed it. Someone closed the window, too. Jacob smirked. “I came to pick you up for school and, of course, see my girl,” he responded. Jacob left the bed and approached me. I looked at him, nervous. “B...but how did you get in?” I said. Why do I feel anxious about his presence? My confidence soars when I am in Jacob’s presence. Jacob smirked, grabbed my waist, and pulled me close. “I have my ways,” he said. I nodded, gazing into his beautiful brown eyes that made me weak. Jacob leaned in and kissed me, and, of course, I kissed him back. Jacob deepened the kiss and held my hand, ensuring the towel stayed in place. I pulled back from the kiss, catching my breath, and saw his eyes go all intense. “Jacob...” I whispered. Jacob said nothing but tried to grab my hand from the towel, and I held it tighter. I looked into his darkened eyes with curiosity. I noticed the yellow rings forming around them. “Jacob, what are you doing?” I asked. Jacob pouted. “Do you have to go to school? We could, you know, hang out,” he said. Jacob’s other hand was on my waist, moved down to my thighs, and my eyes widened at what he meant. “Jacob, no. We can’t.” I said. I then moved his hand away from my hand, holding the towel. Jacob pouted again. “No pouts. I have to get ready for school,” I said. Jacob nodded. I then walked into my closet to pick out something to wear. As I did, Jacob spoke again. “Fine, but I’m going to wait for you then. Why not get a show?” he suggested. “How about not?” I responded. “Why not? I’ve seen you naked before.” “If we want to avoid s*x, we can’t be together when I’m naked.” “Fine,” Jacob said. “I’ll be down the hall with Sophia.” Jacob kissed my cheek and jetted out of my room, shutting the door. I sighed and grabbed a crop top sweater. It showed some of my belly. Then, I found skinny jeans that fit my butt and legs. I set it on the bed, went to my drawer, picked out a white lace bra and underwear, and dressed. I then walked to my bathroom, blow-dried my hair, put my hair up in a ponytail, and curled the ends. I finished, put on my makeup, walked out of my bedroom, and picked out my shoes. I grabbed my stuff and took off. I went to listen to Jacob and Sophia chat and laugh. A contagious smile spread across my face as I watched them get along. On hearing me, they turned towards me, and the first thing I saw was Sophia’s gaze fixed on me. “Mom, you look pretty,” Sophia said. “Thanks, sweetie,” I said. I glanced at Jacob, who admired my appearance. He smiled and walked over to me. “You look...” he said, speechless. “I know I look amazing,” I said, flipping my ponytail away. Jacob chuckled and took my hands in his. Sophia then spoke before she left the kitchen. “Well, I’ll let you guys be alone.” When Sophia left, I noticed Jacob was still staring at me with a worried frown. I looked at him with curiosity. “What?” I asked. “I love the outfit on you. But I don’t know if you’re okay wearing that to school. Especially in front of boys who can look at you,” Jacob responded. “Jacob, it’s my stomach. It’s not like my breasts are showing.” Jacob pouted again. “I understand, but I’m uncomfortable with people observing my possessions,” he expressed. I rolled my eyes. “Stop being so possessive,” I said. “It’s for a couple of hours. It’s not a big deal.” “Yeah, but a couple of hours of guys looking at you,” Jacob said. I chuckled and headed to the pantry for a granola bar. Then I left with Jacob trailing me. When we stepped out, I saw Jacob’s bike parked there. I sighed, and Jacob gave me a smirk. I strapped on my helmet and hopped behind Jacob, squeezing him tight around his waist. When I did that, I got tingles when I touched him. I could tell he got tense. I couldn’t help but smirk at how I got to him. He pulled the handle, started the motorcycle, and we went to school. Upon arriving at school, Jacob parked his vehicle in front, lowered the stand, and turned off the engine. I glanced at Jacob, who had already hopped off the bike, removed his helmet, and plopped it on the seat. Jacob walked up to me with a smile as I got off. “I’ll pick you up after school, and then we can go somewhere,” he said. “Alright,” I said. Jacob grabbed my waist, pulled me close, and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and melted into the kiss. I kissed him when I heard the first bell ring, and Jacob was like ugh. I laughed as I backed away, seeing how frustrated he was. Jacob pressed his forehead against mine, holding me tight. “Well, I had better go. I don’t want to miss class on my last school day,” I said. “Alright,” Jacob said, Jacob hugged me, and I walked backward to school, still looking at him. He was chilling on his bike, giving me a loving look. I blew a kiss, and he grabbed it, and I laughed. I turned and went to school. As I headed to school, many first-year students ran toward me. “Hey, you’re Renesmee, right? Your boyfriend is so hot. I wish I had one like that.” A blonde-haired, green-eyed girl said. I planned to speak, but a blonde girl with blue eyes beat me. “Same, he is so hot. Where did you find a guy like him?” “Well, it’s hard to explain, but he is friends with my mom, so...” I said. “Ooh, so he’s older?” “Yeah, but he’s like twenty-four and almost twenty-five.” “Oh, wow, why are you dating someone six years older than you? That makes you a slut.” The blonde-haired and green-eyed girl said. Well, that was mean. “No, not really. If you love someone and are mature about the relationship, age shouldn’t matter. Also, I’m eighteen,” I said. They both nodded. “So you’re dating an older man? That’s kind of hot,” the blonde-haired, green-eyed girl said. “Yeah, it can be, but our relationship is so playful and teen-like it doesn’t seem like he’s way older than me,” I responded. “I bet, well, we have to go. We don’t aspire to be late for class,” the blonde-haired, green-eyed girl said. The two girls walked away to their classes, and I walked straight to my locker. When I got to my locker, I saw Chloe leaning against her locker while looking at me with a curious expression. When I stopped at my locker and opened it, Chloe turned to me and crossed her arms. “What was that about?” she asked. I turned to Chloe with curiosity. “What was what about?” I asked. “What were those girls talking to you about?” “They saw Jacob and commented on his attractiveness and other matters.” “Oh.” “Yeah, nothing important.” Chloe nodded. “So, did you and Jacob make up?” she asked. Henry walked over and wrapped his arm around Chloe’s waist. “Yeah, and he said he would take me somewhere after school today,” I responded. “Ooh, where?” Chloe asked. “I don’t know. It’s a surprise.” “That’s great, Renesmee. I’m glad you guys made up.” “Yeah, me too.” “Does that mean the wedding is still going ahead?” “Yep.” Chloe squealed and clapped her hands, and I laughed, amused. We played volleyball in gym class but did nothing in cheerleading because of exams. Isaac and Henry joined me, along with Chloe, Courtney, and Hannah. We were hanging out on the bleachers and having a chat. I told Isaac the excellent news. “That’s great, Renesmee. So I’m invited to the wedding, right?” Isaac asked. “Yeah, sure, why not?” “Thanks. I appreciate it. I support you two,” Isaac said. “You are welcome, and thanks. I appreciate hearing that. “ “You welcome.” I had something to ask Isaac. “How are you and the teacher doing? Are you guys still going to see each other after graduating?” I asked. “Maybe. Unsure of our next steps, but our love and aspiration for togetherness remain.” I, Isaac, responded. I nodded and then chuckled. Isaac looked at me with curiosity. “What?” he asked. “I’m still surprised that you’re dating a teacher. It’s weird.” “I know, but it happened.” “Ah, huh?” I laughed again, and he gave me a playful nudge, and I returned the favor. After class, Chloe, Henry, and I went to our last class before graduating. I couldn’t contain my excitement at escaping and reuniting with Jacob. When we got to class, I went to my seat. Chloe sat next to me. Then Danielle walked in and sat behind me. She poked my shoulder, and I turned around to look at her. “So I heard you and Jacob made up,” Danielle said. “How did you know?” I asked. “Everyone knows. It has spread.” I nodded and pondered who spread it, then glanced at Chloe, who appeared guilty. “I’m sorry. I couldn’t help it. I informed Hannah and Courtney, who spread the word to their friends and beyond,” she said. I sighed. “It’s fine,” I said. Coach Smith walked into the classroom. The bell rang, and the class began. He handed out the exams, and we started the test. After thirty minutes of a hundred-question exam, I turned in my paper and sat back down. I took out my phone and saw a text message from Jacob. It said... I miss you already. I can’t wait to see you, and I can’t wait to take you somewhere. I rolled my eyes as I smiled. I-I miss you, too. I can’t wait to see you too. Jacob- I love you. I-I love you, too. I put my phone away, looked up, and saw everyone turning in their tests. Then I glanced at Chloe. She was chatting with Henry, and Isaac was talking to some other classmates. I sighed and saw Danielle chatting with a couple of other girls. I couldn’t believe it was the last day of school and graduation was two days away. I couldn’t wait to start a new chapter. Upon hearing the bell, everyone panicked and stood up. They threw papers and supplies in the air and shouted that school was over. A bunch of guys tossed their bags and shouted random stuff. Henry, Chloe, and I were walking down the hall with Henry’s arm around Chloe. I went to my locker to get the rest of my stuff because we cleared our lockers earlier this week. I saw Chloe crying in Henry’s arms when I grabbed my stuff. I asked Henry. What’s wrong with her? “She said that school’s over and that she won’t see us much anymore,” Henry responded. “Why? She has you and me.” “Actually...” “Actually, what?” “Hasn’t she told you?” “No, she hasn’t told me anything.” Chloe pulled away from Henry’s chest, wiped her tears, and looked at me with guilt. I looked at Chloe with curiosity. “What’s going on, Chloe?” I asked. “I got accepted to college in California,” Chloe responded. My eyes widened. “Why didn’t you tell me? That’s great!” I said. I pulled Chloe in for a hug. “Really. I thought you would be upset,” Chloe said. “No, I’m disappointed you didn’t tell me,” I said. “Really? We’ve been friends since the start of high school. I thought you wouldn’t want me to leave because you would need me.” “No, I have Jacob and Hannah. Hannah can’t go to college because of Embry’s refusal.” “You never know. She might want to go to college.” “Yeah, you’re right. She expressed her long-standing desire to attend college.” “Yeah.” My phone vibrated, and I looked down to see a text message from Jacob, and I chuckled. He was so impatient. I read the message, and it said... Hurry, I want to see you. “Who is it?” Chloe asked. “Jacob being his usual self,” I responded. Chloe nodded with a chuckle and spoke. “Go!” I looked at Chloe’s curiosity. “What?” I asked. “Go to him. We will talk later.” “Are you sure?” “Yeah.” “Okay, thanks. I’ll see you later.” I hugged her and bolted down the hallway. I rushed out and sprinted down the stairs to see Jacob lounging on his bike. I didn’t mind who was present. All I wanted was Jacob. When I reached the last step, I ran into Jacob’s arms, and he picked me up. I laughed, and he put me down and hugged me. Jacob buried his face in my neck. “I missed you,” he said. I said nothing, and Jacob pulled away. I looked into his eyes. He was handsome, and I’m so glad he was mine. Jacob pulled me close, and I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned my forehead against his. “I love you,” he said. I smiled. “I love you,” I said. Jacob grinned and leaned in to kiss me, and I could feel his breath against my lips. “Now that your school is over, I’m not letting you out of my sight now,” he said. I laughed at how possessive he was. Jacob planted a kiss on me, and I kissed him back, running my fingers through his hair and giving it a little tug. We were making out for a minute, then stopped to catch our breath and hopped on the motorcycle. I put on the helmet, hugged Jacob from behind, and rested my head on his shoulder. I saw jealous girls giving me dirty looks, so I shook my head, smirked, and kissed Jacob’s neck. Jacob got all tense, and I grinned. Jacob asked, “What was that for?” I lifted my head from Jacob’s shoulder with a curious expression. “What?” I asked. “That kiss you gave me. What was that for?” Jacob asked. “Oh, that. That was nothing. I was claiming what’s mine.” Jacob shook his head with amusement. We drove, passing the Forks sign, and I looked at Jacob curiously. “Where are we going?” I asked. Jacob smirked. “Somewhere where you have been before,” he responded. My eyebrows rose. “Where?” I asked. “Like I said, it’s a surprise,” Jacob responded. We parked at the beach after Jacob disembarked, and I removed my helmet and surveyed the surroundings. “What are we doing at the beach?” I asked. Jacob put his helmet down and walked over to me, grabbing my face and pecking my lips. “You’ll see,” he said. I groaned, and Jacob laughed. Jacob took me to the beach and made me close my eyes. When we walked to the destination, I felt a chilly breeze, and I felt like it was getting dark with my eyes closed. “Jacob, where the heck are you taking me?” I asked. “Hold on a second,” Jacob responded. Two minutes later, we stopped. “Now you can open your eyes,” Jacob said. I opened my eyes. I saw a cave with candles and flowers. It amazed me how beautiful it was. I saw a blanket, pillows, a basket, and a jacuzzi. I turned to Jacob, smiling. “You did this?” “Yep, and with a little help from the pack,” Jacob responded. I nodded and asked, “Do my parents know I’m with you?” “I inquired about having you for the remaining night. They agreed, so you’re all mine for the night,” Jacob said. I nodded, then gazed at the view. For a second, the place looked familiar; I had seen this place before. “Jacob,” I said. Jacob wrapped his arms around me from behind and then spoke. “Yeah,” Jacob said. “This place looks familiar. Have we been here before?” I asked. “Yep.” “How long ago has it been since we were last here?” “Three or four years ago, I don’t know. But it was when we sneaked around behind our parents’ backs. And this was where we did it.” “Oh yeah, now I remember.” “Yep. Are you hungry?” “Yes. So hungry.” “What kind of hungry? Are you?” “What do you mean, hungry? Are you?..” “Yeah, I’m hungry for human blood. I, I don’t know. I get this craving for blood when I don’t eat for a while, and when I’m with you, it gets worse since, you know, you’re human.” “Oh yeah, hum. I can feed you instead and save your food for dinner, since it’s still the afternoon.” “No, Jacob, this is fine. We don’t have to go hunting.” “No, I thought you could feed on me.” My eyes went big. I can’t feed on Jacob. He’s my fiancé and soon-to-be husband. Also, what if I lose control? That’s why I only provide animal food. “No, Jacob, I can’t do that. Besides, I only feed on animal blood,” I said. “Come on, Nessie. It’s one time. We won’t tell your parents.” “No, Jacob. I don’t want to hurt you. My love for you prohibits me from doing that.” Jacob sighed. “Fine, let’s go find a forest close to us,” he said. After waking up, we left the cave and headed to the forest.
