Renesmee’s P.O.V We arrived at the pack house. Before dismounting, I noticed Sophia with Seth on the bench. She was holding his hand while they were talking. I walked away from Jacob and towards Sophia, ignoring his attempts for my attention. “Sophia!” I yelled in an angry tone. Sophia turned, left the bench, and stared at me in panic. “Mo... mom, what are you doing here?” Sophia asked. “What do you think I’m doing here? I’m here with Jacob. Also, I discovered you were with Seth after my mom told me you left without my permission!” I yelled. “Yeah, I can explain.” “You better. Why didn’t you inform me before coming here?” “Seth needed me, and you were busy, so I asked your parents.” I sighed, crossing my arms against my chest. “What’s the reason?” I asked. The sound of footsteps reached my ears. Big, muscular arms wrapped around my waist. They embraced me, pulling me into their chests. I felt at ease as I nestled in Jacob’s embrace. “It’s not her fault. It’s mine.” Seth said, “I wanted Sophia here with me because I lost the job I enjoyed and wanted her comfort.” I nodded. “Oh,” I said. “Hum, Seth. How did you lose your job? What happened?” Jacob asked. “I don’t know. I guess my manager caught me doing something wrong.” Seth responded. “You’re welcome to work at my place if you need a job. I can get the manager to give you a shift.” “Alright, thanks, Jake.” “You’re welcome, and how about we call them right now?” “Alright.” Seth left with Jacob to go inside and left me with Sophia. I turned to Sophia, who had a curious expression on her face. “What?” she asked. “It seems like you guys are getting pretty serious,” I responded. I walked over to the bench, and Sophia sat next to me. “Yeah, I guess. Our connection strengthens daily, making it harder for me to stay away from Seth.” Sophia said. I couldn’t contain my joy as a beaming smile spread across my face, filling me with overwhelming happiness. All thanks to Sophia. Seeing her find love and Seth bringing her joy made me happy. I didn’t want things to become serious. I wasn’t ready to take on the role of a grandma. Jacob and I have yet to get married or have children together. “I bet you feel the same way about Jacob,” Sophia said. “I do, but we are more serious than you guys. We are getting married, for god’s sake.” I said. Sophia nodded, and I sighed. “I don’t want you two to be intimate until you are older enough, which may be until you finish high school,” I said. Sophia nodded again and then looked at me with a shocked expression. “High School? You’re going to put me in High School?” she asked. “Yeah, I was thinking about enrolling you next year. You will start in August.” I responded. “Okay, what school am I going to?” “You’re going to go where I go to Forks High School.” “Okay, what’s it like?” “It’s a decent school, and I hope you meet new people and make some friends.” “I will, hopefully.” I nodded. “So, have you seen the house yet?” I asked. “No, not yet. Seth hasn’t shown me around the place yet.” “Well, let’s go inside so I can show you around because soon we will live here when I marry Jacob or sooner.” “Sooner?” “I talked to your grandparents, and they will think about it, letting me move in with Jacob before the wedding.” “We will live with the pack, meaning I will see Seth more often.” “Yes, but you will sleep in different rooms until you’re old enough.” “Alright.” We walked inside, and Sophia’s eyes widened when she saw the inside of the house. “So this is Jacob’s office,” I said, pointing to the left. Looking to the left, Sophia observed Jacob and Seth talking on the phone inside Jacob’s office. She nodded. Next, we continued walking until we reached the living room. “Next is the living room, and the kitchen is next to it,” I said. Sophia nodded. We then walked down a hall and stopped halfway. “Those two doors are Embry’s and Quil’s rooms. I hope Hannah will soon move in. I should get Embry to give her a tour of the house.” I said. Sophia nodded again. “Wait, what about Quil’s imprintee?” she asked. “His imprintee is still pretty young,” I responded. “Oh.” “Yeah.” Next, we headed upstairs and walked to where the game room was. “Okay. This is the game room. The guys like to hang out here. It’s where Quil and Embry are when they’re not patrolling,” I said. Sophia nodded, and then we left toward another small hall where Seth and Leah’s rooms were. “Seth’s room is down the hall, with Leah next to him.” Sophia nodded. We then walked down the last hall. We first stopped at another bedroom, mine and Jacob’s. I shivered at the thought of sharing a bed with him. Sophia looked at me with curiosity. “Are you okay?” she asked. “Yeah, I’m fine anyway. This is Jacob’s bedroom,” I responded. Sophia peeked inside and found it big. “His room is huge,” Sophia said. “I know it’s because the alpha gets the biggest room,” I said. Sophia nodded again. We then walked down to Sophia’s room. “This will be your bedroom,” I stated. Sophia walked in, and I followed her. “I like it. It’s nice. Yeah! I got my bedroom.” She said. “You’re getting older and would want your privacy,” I said. “Yeah,” Sophia looked around and admired the bedroom’s color. “I like the color. It’s purple and one of my favorite colors,” she said. “Same; Jacob knew you liked purple, so he did it,” I said. Sophia turned to me and smiled. “I love it.” She said. I grinned, and she embraced me. We left the bedroom. I showed her the last two empty bedrooms. They might be the bedrooms for my future children. After giving Sophia a tour, we went downstairs and proceeded to the kitchen. Sophia sat at the table as I headed to the fridge to grab water for us. I gave her the water and took a seat opposite her. “So, mom, I’m sorry for not telling you I came here. I didn’t want to bother you and Jacob. It would be best if you guys had some time alone,” Sophia said. “Sophia, Jacob, and I get a lot of time alone,” I said, sipping my water. “Yeah, but not over five minutes. You guys have yet to spend hours together, and besides, I wanted to avoid walking in on you guys.” My eyes widened. “Wait, what?” I asked. “I went upstairs and heard noises I did not need to hear. So, I left you guys alone and went to ask the others for permission,” Sophia responded. “Oh.” How embarrassing. My daughter heard Jacob and I having s*x. Sophia smirked. She asked, “So, how was it?” I choked on my drink as I spoke. “What?” “How was the s*x? Was he good?” Sophia asked. My eyes widened. “Sophia!” I said. I heard footsteps in the kitchen. When I turned, I saw Jacob and Seth. I’m filled with gratitude that they interrupted our conversation. Jacob walked over to me. “Hey guys, what’s going on?” he asked. Jacob grabbed my hand and pulled me out of my seat. He took a seat and pulled me onto his lap, embracing me with his arms. I see Seth standing behind Sophia, embracing her with his arms. “Nothing,” I responded. Sophia smirked. “We were talking about you guys,” she responded. I shook my head, and Jacob looked at us with curiosity. “What about us?” he asked. “Well....” I was about to respond when Sophia spoke. “I found out about you guys last night,” Sophia said. I was so embarrassed, so I covered my face with my hands. Jacob looked at me, Sophia, with a curious expression. “What about last night?” he asked. “The you know....” I responded. Jacob looked at me for a second, and then his eyes widened. “Oh...” he said. “I went upstairs to talk to Mom, and then I heard you guys, so I left,” Sophia said. “Oh...” Jacob said again. “Yeah, embarrassing,” I said. Seth looked at Sophia with a disgusted expression. “Wait, you guys did it... and you heard them?” he asked. “Yeah, it was a little weird for me,” Sophia responded. Jacob smirked. “Wait, who was the loudest? Me or Nessie,” he asked. “Hum, I don’t know. I heard moaning. I wasn’t present, so I’m unsure of the sender.” We nodded, and Jacob continued to smirk. “Well, I’m glad. That means we did a great job,” he said. I shook my head but couldn’t help but smile. “Okay, now I’m disgusted. Seth, let’s go to the beach before I feel sick,” Sophia said. Sophia got up, grabbed Seth’s arm, and pulled him towards her. Jacob laughed, and we listened as the door shut. I then turned to Jacob in his lap as he spoke. “That got them out.” I shook my head with amusement. “Yep,” I said. Jacob smirked and explained, “I have more time with you.” Jacob was about to kiss him when he got interrupted. The sound of the front door opening reached our ears. Embry and Quil entered the kitchen to grab food. Right after that, I noticed Leah following behind them. “God, guys. Is food all you guys think about?” Leah asked. “Yep,” Quil said with food in his mouth. Leah rolled her eyes and turned to see us at the table. She walked over to us and sat down at the table. “Oh hey, Nessie and Jacob. Did we interrupt something?” she asked. “Oh no, not really,” I responded. “Yes, you did, Leah,” Jacob said with a growl. “Oh, I’m sorry, guys. We left the beach and returned because the boys were hungry. We’ll go upstairs now.” “That would be great, Leah.” His rudeness widened my eyes, and I looked at Jacob disappointed. I glanced at Leah, my face full of remorse. “No, Leah, you can stay down here. I’m going to go upstairs,” I said. “Alright,” Leah said. I left Jacob in the chair and ran upstairs and down the hall. I didn’t want to talk to Jacob because what he did was on called for. I get that he’s an alpha, but he shouldn’t mistreat his friends. This house was a pack house for his pack, so I don’t understand why he acted like that. He could have requested some alone time instead of being disrespectful. I shut the door and went to Jacob’s bedroom, soon to be mine. I sat on the bed and lay my head on the pillow. A few minutes later, I heard footsteps approaching, and the door opened. I regret not locking the door. “Nessie,” Jacob said. Ignoring him, I shifted my gaze elsewhere. “Nessie. I’m sorry.” Jacob said. I kept ignoring him. I noticed the bed sinking and felt his proximity beside me. A surge of tingles coursed through me when he touched my shoulder. I lay on my back and gazed up at him. His gaze met mine as he peered down at me. He brushed a strand of hair away from my face. “Nessie, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have acted this way to our pack. I hate when people interrupt our time together. We get little time together anymore, and it’s hard for me,” Jacob said. I nodded. “I know. Same here, but no need for rudeness,” I said. “I understand, and I’ll work on improving,” Jacob said. “You better.” “So, we’re good?” “Yeah, I guess so.” “Good. I don’t like it when you get upset.” “And I don’t like it when you’re angry.” Jacob smiled. It is silent, and it’s us in the bedroom. Jacob moved his fingers down my arm, causing my arms to tingle. He smirked. “So we’re alone again,” he said. I remained silent as I observed Jacob’s smirking expression. Jacob caressed my body with his hands and leaned in for a kiss. I responded to his kiss and made it more intense. I contacted his body, gripping his shirt to bring him nearer. We had a brief make-out session and enjoyed uninterrupted company.
