Chapter 14 Life I couldn’t believe my eyes. If I told anyone else what I was witnessing, they wouldn’t believe me. Jay Chahar in the kitchen, attempting to cook, - very badly I might add- what looked like breakfast. I had woken up to the house beeping. Terrified that I had left the stove on, I ran downstairs in my negligee without my robe into the kitchen. And there was Jay, burning something that resembled an omelette and ignoring the fire alarm. I was hoping to bring breakfast to you in bed.” “Jay, the beeping, do you not hear it?” I asked. “I do, I thought it would turn off by itself.” He answered. I shook my head at him. “No.” I walked over
