Confused.
I was so confused.
We left the engagement party last night without going back in or saying goodbye.
After that bruising kiss, Jay pulled away and leaned against the wall with his eyes closed.
I was busy catching my breath.
What the hell was that?
I turned my head away from Jay and tried to get my thoughts together. But before I had a chance Jay grabbed my hand and took me out of the house and into the car.
He helped me sit and then walked around to the driver’s side grabbing the keys from the valet.
As we drove back to our house, my mind was blank. I wanted to talk about what had happened but I was scared.
I was scared that whatever Jay said would hurt me too much…it would destroy the world I had built around myself.
