Family Date (Part 2)
It was the same circle.
We were going through the same damn circle.
Jay was gone again and this time I knew things were different. He hadn’t left in anger. We didn’t have a fight either.
We came back from my birthday weekend and he stepped out to go to the office the next day and didn’t come home that night.
Or the next few nights.
This time I didn’t bother panicking until a few days in and even then, I knew it didn’t matter because Jay had to just see Zara and his world turned upside down.
I called my father and he was the one to tell me that Jay wasn’t even in the country. He was currently in Paris on a ‘business trip’. Like I believed his words, I had a feeling if I tried to find out where Zara was, it would be in the same place as Jay.
