Chapter 56 Mourning One of my earliest memories of my father spending time with us was when I was about 9 years old. He had come home early from work and taken me and my sister into the backyard. To our surprise, he had the backyard turned into a fantasyland that would drive any kid crazy with happiness. I remembered the different carts lined up around the yard. There was also a brand-new swing set – not one of those basic ones, a fancy one that could have been picked up from a park. There was a bouncy castle and a man making balloons. There was so much happiness in the place… but it was only for that one day. Our father – or someone that worked for him – had gone to great lengths to set up this one day of fun.
