Kader Family (Part 2)
I was sitting in front of the Aashir waiting for him to tell me something.
We had met a few months ago and he had become one of my few friends in the city and also my lawyer. He had helped me get all my documents over from London and also worked on my legal formalities for my business.
“There’s something I need to tell you,” Aashir repeated.
I nodded. “Okay, tell me.” I just hoped he wasn’t going to ask me out. That would be uncomfortable, especially for me. I had already turned down Naveen and told him I could only offer him friendship. He said that was fine by him, but it was really awkward afterwards.
I couldn’t go through something like that again. Aashir was a nice man, but I wouldn’t be ready to date any time soon and that was what I wanted.
