"I think you should mind link Brandon, if he hasn't gone to the office yet maybe the triplets can go to their wing. I would have suggested Crystal, but he already has his hands full."
Alistair says to his mate while he struggles with buckling his belt. It's been a week since the twin gave their parent a scare and the couple decided it was due time they visited the seer.
Allison agreed to the suggestion from a moment after Alexius woke up, but Alistair thought it would be better if they let the twin rest up before going to seer.
The initial plan was to take only Alexius, which change after both boys had a scary episode of fainting and convulsion.
"Come here. Let me help you with that."
Allison says walking towards her mate, who let out a breath of relief at the offer.
"I don't know how you are good at everything, yet you always struggle with your belt."
The female Alpha comments, crouching before her mate as she helps with the buckle of his belt.
"Maybe because I enjoy seeing you in the position."
Alistair jokes with hands on his waist, peering down at Allison, who rolls her eyes at his antics.
"I have lived with you long enough to know you fumble with it on purpose, but I like to always let you have your moment. Now before you try to tease me further, put on your shoes, remember we are heading out."
She places a kiss on his clothed crotch before standing on her feet and walks to her closet in search of something to wear.
The unexpected contact with his bulge cause Alistair to groan in despair, if the situation was different he wouldn't have minded stripping out of his clothes and having a good time with his mate before they leave, but his kids were important than any desire he had a building at the bed so he swallowed his spit averting his eyes from Allison who walked out of the closet naked.
She had walked into the closet with her bathrobe on, only to walk out stark naked with the bathtub hanging on her shoulders and her outfit in hand.
Alistair knew well that Allison sensed his mini arousal a few seconds ago. That is why she walked out naked to tease and taunt him because she knows no matter how turned on Alistair gets. The Alpha couldn't act on it at the moment.
"Really, you tell me not to tease you and you walk out like that."
A smirk breaks out on Allison's face as Allistair face palm and groans in defeat.
"Honey, I am in my mate's house. Am I allowed to be myself around my mate?"
Allison questions with a smile that's got Allistair rolling his eyes at her for trying to play innocent.
"What you're doing right now is being wicked, and it's unfair, but enjoy, I'll have my moments soon. You win this time."
Alistair huffs as he sits on his bed to put on his shoes and Allison couldn't hold back her laughter while the Alpha sulk glaring at his mate as she stopped taunting him and she gets dressed.
"What did Brandon say?"
Alistair asks, thinking Allison had mind linked the Delta like he suggested.
"I didn't link him."
Allison replies, returning her bathrobe to the bathroom for now, and she walks back into the living room for her shoes.
"Why?, we need to arrange for the triplets before we leave."
" I know, honey. But I am not linking Brandon, the last time I did he left his link with Jared open and. I literally had to listen to him moan while my Beta was f*****g him. No way... I am not going through that again. I'll rather call him."
Allison responds with a shake of her head as her thoughts race back to that day, Alistair barks out a laugh from his mate's explosion and the way she made faces shaking her head.
"Ah, good for you, I'll go see if Paige and his brothers are ready."
Allison glared at her mate as he steps out of the room, laughing at her predication. She always enjoyed teasing her friends just because she enjoyed the way Brandon gets shy and blush from it, and she saw that day as a payback from the moon goddess.
No matter how hard she tried to erase the memory, it wouldn't budge, and the pleasurable moans and grunts from Brandon and Jared stuck with her like glue.
"Argh, dear Goddess, the memory will forever hunt me."
She says, shuddering from the mere thought, but she knows at the back of her mind that it won't stop her from teasing the couple.
She puts on her shoe, packing her long hair in a neat ponytail before walking away from the dressing mirror to the nightstand for her cell phone.
Allison long press on Brandon's speed dial number and waits for the ringing before putting the phone to her ear.
[Hello B...]
Allison says into the receiver, picking her purse from on top of the mattress and silver fur garment from its hanger before making her way out of the room.
[Hello, morning.]
Allison pause, pulling the phone away from her ear to check if it was Brandon she truly called, and she made a face when she realised she didn't make a mistake.
[Morning asshole, where is your husband?]
Jared barks a laugh from his end, knowing he was right when he told Brandon Allison would get peachy if she realises the delta isn't the one who answered the call.
[He is beside me. What do you need him for, and why are you calling my man this early in the morning?]
Brandon rolls his eyes at Jared's statements, shaking his head at his mate's dramatic response.
[I must have you know I also have a man with a body better than that of a Greek god, an Alpha with an enormous c**k so I don't know what you think I need your man for so early in the morning.]
Allison sass at Jared, holding back her laughter, because she knows how Jared reacts whenever she praises Alistair or tries to talk sexually of him in front of the beta.
A stranger might mistake it for jealous in the beta, but it wasn't Allison knew that much, and she knows how far they go with their childish rivalry, even of both men like the other.
[I don't know why you flaunt. I am attracted to d***s, but definitely not Alistair own that douche, Brandon fills me up pretty well now what do you want from us 'lovebird". I know you would say 'lovebirds' so I'm beating you to it.]
Jared responds and Allison laugh.
[You know me too well. Put the phone on speaker so your precious can hear me]
Allison says, cackling as she pictures Brandon blushing and Jared probably rolling his eyes or biting his bottom lip.
[It's on speaker, he can hear you.]
[Morning dear]
Brandon leans over Jared so that he can be closer to the phone as he greets his friend.
[Good morning bestie, I hope you had a good night.]
[I did,...]
[We had a wonderful night which was far from calm...]
Jared cuts Brandon off, speaking into the receiver to tease Allison, and the Alpha face palmed from her end, wondering what prompted her to ask the question. It was an innocent question from her end..
[Spare me the details dufus, I didn't ask you. Brandon are you there.]
[I am here, just ignore this arse beside me, is everything alright?]
Brandon inquires, with a hint of worry lacing his voice.
[Yes everything is fine but I need a favor from you or both of you.]
Allison says, turning the lock of their bedroom and she walks towards the elevator.
[okay, go ahead.]
Both men respond in a serious tone.
[We are going to see the seer to today. The twins and Paige are coming with us. I was wondering if we can bring the triplets to your wing so you can help us watch over them before we get back]
[Of course, do you even have to ask]
Brandon responds, sitting up from the bed, and mentions for Jared to get his ass off the bed.
[Thank you, I thought you guys might have gone to the office or probably have things to do]
[No, we have nothing major to do until they send in this month's invoice next week and some other documents. Where is Paige, though?]
Jared asks, throwing on his shirt as he joins Brandon in the bathroom to wash his face.
[He is coming with us, the twins have gotten more clingy to him since the incident. They will feel more relaxed if they have their big brother around, that's why we are bringing him with us.]
[Oh I see, Paige really spoiled those boys with attention right from the start.]
Jared comments passing the phone to Brandon who just finished brushing his teeth.
[Should we come for the triplets?]
Brandon asks into the receiver, walking out the bathroom.
[We would drop them off, we are on her way to your wing.]
[Okay then, I'll be waiting.]
Brandon responds and the Alpha answers with an alright before hanging up the call.
In a few minutes, Allison had the triplets with her riding the elevator to Brandon and Jared's wing. She exchanged pleasantries with the couple before riding back down to the hallway that connects the wings to the mansion.
"Are you ready, where are the kids?"
Allison asks Alistair as she steps into their living room.
"Yes, Paige is with Alexius. He wanted to ease himself and he wouldn't go unless Paige or his twin followed him so they both went with him."
Alistair replies and Allison sighed, resting her head on her mate's chest, and Alistair pats her back gently as they wait for the boys.
"Do you think I was too lenient with them when they were babies, did I spoil them?"
Allison mumbles on Alistair's chest, and the Alpha stills his movement, peering at his mate.
"No, what do you mean?"
The confusion in Alistair's tone was apparent as he wondered what led to the question.
"Paige is 17, the boys are 11, and they still can't handle things themselves without the elder. Aloysius is becoming less dependent on anybody but Alexius, I feel like he depends too much on Paige for everything. I worry because he doesn't act his age. What if I spoilt and sheltered him too much? Paige would find his mate next year. Do you think Alexius would understand that Paige won't be able to spend much time with them anymore, because he has to tend to his mate. How do you think Alexius would react when that happens, what if he finds it hard to adjust to the absence of Paige?"
Allison mumbles into her mate's chest and Alistair pulls her back a little, his hands cupping her face.
"Look at me Allison, you are the best mother anyone could ask for and no you didn't spoil any of them neither did you shelter Alexius or Aloysius. what you did was train your boys so well that an outsider can not tell if we adopted their elder brother. You trained them to love and accept Paige as their blood and a member of this family. You don't need to worry much about Alexius remember before Paige came to us Alexius was always all over Oliver. Whenever Paige finds his mate, Alexius would handle it well. I trust him. I think we know how understanding of others Alexius is. When that happens, we would explain it to him and he would understand. You should be happy and proud of yourself, as a mother because you brought up three boys that would do anything to keep the other save and happy."
Alistair tells her, kissing her temple, and Allison nods her head with a smile as she hugs him.
"Mommy."
Alexius' chirpy voice sounds in the living and the parents pivot to the three boys walking down the mini stairs on their floor.
"Hey big baby, how are you this morning?"
Allison offers her son a big smile as she opens her arm for the boy; who hops excitedly on his leg to his mother's
"I'm fine, you look beautiful."
Allison laughs lightly, happy that her son is slowing going back to the bubbly chirpy kid he is.
"Thank you, and you, my boy, look exceptionally handsome. More handsome than big brother and your father, don't tell them I said that."
Allison whispers to her son, and the boy giggled, nodding his head.
"Oh, I heard that."
Paige says, chuckling.
"Did you know? How great I only speak the truth."
Allison teases Paige, and the young boy nods in agreement.
"Of course, I wouldn't argue about how handsome he looks, even though I am better looking."
Paige replies, sticking his tongue out at Alexius, who rolls his eyes at the elder.
The family continued with their banter as they make their way out of the mansion, Aloysius joining in the argument to support his twin.
Alistair goes to the garage to bring the car around, and soon the family journeyed on their way to the seer, who lived miles away on the southern outskirt of the pack territory.
********************************************************
**********************************
"Welcome, Your Grace, Alpha Black. I didn't think you would get here later in the day."
The seer greets, leading the family to sit on the couch, which could only accommodate three individuals. Paige sits Alexius on his lap and Aloysius sits on his mother's lap.
"There was no point arriving later."
Alistair replies as they exchange greetings with the seer, who excuses herself to another room, and she comes back with a large ceramic bowl of fresh water.
"So, which one of them is the dreamer?"
The seer asks, looking between the twins, and Allison points to Alexius.
"Come, my boy, let's grandma see who disturbs your sleep."
She motions for Alexius and the boy shakes his head, clinging on to Paige for dear life.
"Alexius, you just have to show her your hand, okay we are here."
Alistair tries to urge the boy forward, but he wouldn't move from Paige's lap.
"She is scary."
Alexius whispers to Paige and the Alpha held back laughter because it wasn't the right time to burst into a laughing fit.
"She won't harm you, okay? She wants to see the bad people in your dream so that we can stop them. Big brother will take you to her, remember I am here to protect you."
Paige whispers back to him and the boy nods, getting off Paige's lap, and the young Alpha follows behind the boy as they walk to the seer.
She smiles sweetly at the boy holding her hand out for Alexius, who places his palm in her outstretch hand and the seer smiles brings his hand to the water before her and closes her eyes, chanting her mantra as she dips his hand inside the water.
The bowl shakes on the table as her mantra intensifies and fear grip Alexius as his body shakes with force, eyes closed in a silent whisper causing Paige to grab the boy's shoulder by squeezing it gently in affirmation that he was behind him.
A few minutes pass, and the seer stops chanting, her eyes opening, and she heaves a breath before letting go of Alexius' hand.
"Take him with you, come my boy."
The seer says motioning for Aloysius and Paige leads the trembling Alexius back to the couch and the boy hugs him immediately as the elder sat down.
She repeats the same action with Aloysius and after a few minutes motion for the boy to go back to his parents before sighing and she stands to pour the water out.
"Without their wolves, it's hard to get anything."
She says looking at the parents who nod as they paid attention to what she has to say.
"Alexius, I tried seeing beyond the dreams, see if he had an encounter with anyone who might be behind it, but that seems not to be the case. And the dreams, I couldn't get a clear picture of what it his, it's as if something is blocking me from seeing what he sees."
The seer explains, and the two Alphas share a knowing look. Allison had tried doing that also, getting into his head to see if she could get a clear picture on the dreams, but she couldn't
"Can you please elaborate more on that?"
Allison politely asks.
"I think your boy has the gift of premonitions."
The seer says, and the parents turn to the son who coils into his elder brother.
"How is that possible his wolf hasn't even manifest yet, shouldn't we know if he has abilities after his wolf surfaces?"
Allison asks in astonishment.
"Yes, you are right, but in his case, I can tell his gift of premonition has nothing to do with his wolf but him as an individual. This ability of his, has a link to his blood running in his veins, him being your son. They are both pure bloods, some call them true bloods. With or without their wolf there, bloods command power. And what he sees in his are not dreams but premonitions of what is coming, that's why he can't seem to remember in most cases.."
"Sorry to interrupt you... If you are saying the dreams are not dreams, but premonition of what is coming doesn't mean he might be in danger?"
Alistair asks, cutting off the seer.
"That's where the problem lies. It can be one of them. It can either be him or his twin brother. Premonitions can confuse you. Most sages do not see premonitions of themselves. More so; a young sage having premonitions, one cannot decipher who it is about or when it would take place. There is the possibility that his premonitions might be about someone neither of you know. The person might currently be in danger as we speak, or it could be one of his siblings. The chance of this premonitions being about him is low. And we cannot tell who; yet. Without his wolf, the potency of his ability as a sage is weaker and his younger than most blossoming sage."
Allison's head whirled with a different thought, and the revelation not only shocked her, but her mate likewise.
"Wait, so you are saying my son is a sage. Is that even possible, werewolves don't breed sages. Besides, I haven't heard about sage in years. "
Allison says, shaking her head.
"I am confused here if he has the ability of premonitions shouldn't he be a seer or soothsayer, why sage."
Alistair asks, patting his mate on the back as he could sense her agitation.
"There is a difference. I can not suddenly tell what would happen tomorrow, I can only do that by guidance of the spirits when I look into other people's dream. Without the spirits and dreams or nightmares of others, I cannot make guesses. But your son, if his abilities prevail after his wolf surfaces he could see beyond the past and the future, and right now what torments his dreams might be something in the future or it is taking place. The only reason this torments his dreams is because he is still too young to control his emotions around his premonitions."
The seer explains further and Allison sighs, looking at her husband.
"Are you saying as he grows, he would have more control over these premonitions and they wouldn't be nightmares or frighten him?"
Alistair asks, and the seer nods.
"They would become more like a trance and even he horns control over his emotions it won't terrify him, but that depends on what he is seeing. Also him gaining control doesn't mean you should leave him to his device, I would say keep watch on him. He seems to find comfort in that Alpha. Do not put distance between the two. When I was doing the mantra, the younger Alpha touched him and I could feel his wolf...."
She paused, turning to face Paige.
"Your wolf's name is Randall, am I right?"
She asks Paige, and the young Alpha nods.
"His wolf is a guardian wolf, a protector, or a shield wolf, as some people call it. It is the nature of a sage for their subconscious to find a shield in someone or something. Alexius subconsciousness senses safety with Randall, that's why he clings more to the Alpha. The presence of the young Alpha's wolf gives Alexius a sense of safety. Shield wolves often chose who they protect and in this case Randall seems to have chosen the twin but his duty is more inclined to Alexius, since his mind seems more troubled that the other at the moment."
The seer explained to the best of her knowledge to the parents, who paid rapt attention, nodding as she spoke. But Allison couldn't push aside her worry for her son.
"Does him being a sage mean he would get these premonitions often as he grows?"
Allison asks as she hugs Aloysius closer to her.
"Maybe not, maybe yes. I really can't say. Even if he gets the premonitions often, he should be fine with Randall around, and as he grows, he can learn to decipher his premonitions. As for the reason for the Incident, I cannot find any link between it and his premonitions. Perhaps there body is getting ready for their wolves. They would be 13 soon, that might be the case. But if the incidence repeats itself, then you might need to see the chief priestess."
Hearing that made Allison feel some sense of relief and powerless at the same time.
She felt relief because if their episodes isn't, linked to Alexius premonitions that mean that the boys aren't in danger, but she felt powerless because she couldn't get to the root of these problems and had to seek help from others.
"Thank you for everything."
Allison says, bowing respectfully to the seer, and the old woman mirrored her action.
"We are really grateful for your help and for shedding more light on the situation."
Alistair says, showing his gratitude, and they stand on their feet.
"You are welcome. It is an honor to be of help to the Alpha king and have her in my home. Thank you for trusting me."
The seer says standing on her feet and the family boys to her. Alistair puts the gift they brought for her on the table, saying one last farewell, and they exit the seer house before walking back to their car.
Alexius had already fallen asleep in his brother's arm, so the elder did not bother waking him up, but carried him all the way to the car.
While Allison worried about everything she just heard, maybe it wasn't something to worry about, but her mother instinct wouldn't let up.
'I can feel your worry, you know. Remember, we are in this together and whatever happens, I won't let any harm come to our kids.'
Alistair says through their mate link, and Allison sighs, holding his hand.
'I do not worry about the unforeseen danger. I worry more about our son being a sage. Neither of us is familiar with this. What if we cannot really make it up to him as parents now, this is new to him as much as it is to us? And now he doesn't even understand what it is. What if being a sage puts him in more danger than necessary, what if does trance harm him without us knowing? What if we cannot protect him enough from his own ability?'
Allison says worriedly, and Alistair comforts her through their link.
'We would read and learn everything we can about sages. And we would be there as he grows, doing all we can to protect him, and I know you, mate. You would always find a way to more than protect him from his own self, and I'll be by your side protecting you and the family. Just stop worrying for now, at least we know they are not in any danger.'
Alistair says and Allison nods, leaning back into her seat as the Alpha starts the car and they journey on their way back home.
