    It was dark when I returned to the fairy realm, and for that I was thankful. I managed to place myself at the front of the sunflower field, though it was because of my nerves that I didn’t land at our spot, the spot at the stream. I groaned in annoyance as I pulled my dress up higher, holding the silky cloth tight in my fingers as I ran through the field. The leaves whipped at my face, the wind brushing against my skin, freezing me as I ran. Even still, I didn’t stop, refusing to accept any of it as signs. Signs telling me to go back, to give up, to go to my people. They were probably looking for me by now, though I wasn’t very sure about that.
