Max didn't realize how popular Jane Knight really was. Her fans unconditionally supported her.
The common consensus was that Jane and Max had belonged together.
The story of Max with the pictures of the abused younger woman was lost at the bottom of the whirl wind of wedding plans that Jane Knight had shared with the world.
She had promised the media an exclusive.
They all ran with it.
Jane Knight was now on the front page.
The Royal family visiting Canada was on page two.
Jamie shook her head at all of the email- fan mail that she had gotten every day. Sasha usually took care of her social media for her.
Max helped her to unpack all of the gifts they were sending her as well.
He decided to give the fans what they deserved, he took videos of Jane Knight dressed in a white hooded sweat suit with the words Good knight in gold lettering on the front, opening the many gifts the fans had sent to her P.O.Box.
The sweat outfit was a gift from one of her Lolligig fans at the hospital.
The Daily Post was running a love story on Max and Jane Knight AKA Jamie Clarke and the very sexy Max Turner.
The naughty nanny finds her Max, all grown up now.
They kept looping the videos of Max scooping Jane Knight up in his strong arms as she had fainted at Sasha's memorial, pausing to give Jeff Allen a scathing look as he left.
Max had a bad feeling in the back of his mind.
Jeff was too quiet, he hadn't even tried to call Jane.
He pulled open Jamie's computer.
He was working on uploading the videos for her fan club, the Knight family- fan club, the Good knights.
He noticed a pop up suggesting Jamie's computer was at risk for Malware.
He ran a general scan.
The computer blinked weirdly. It looked strange to him.
He closed the program and loaded up his own lap top.
He used his security password for TCS, Turner Cyber Security, his old company that he'd had with his step dad Tim.
It still worked. He ran some tests and looked up Jamie's IP address and put it into the program.
He noticed that there was a thread, an open connection from Jeff Allen tower to Jane Knight's web site.
It was a back door. He knew then that Jeff had access to Jamie's computer and was able to see anything that she had done on it.
He decided to run a few traps in the system. Whenever someone took control of Jamie's computer, it pinged on her phone.
He entered something into her search engine.
Where to find a call girl named Crystal Fine.
How to tell your ex boss you are onto him.
Where to send cease and desist orders to Jeff Allen.
Max was waiting. He looked at his watch. Jane's phone pinged. Someone was looking.
Max slammed her computer shut and went out to find Jamie.
Jamie was writing. She had a book deadline due. She no longer had Sasha there to guide her.
She was on her own.
Max sat down next to her.
" I think Jeff has been watching us. Spying on your computer. I ran a few tests and there was a thread to the Jeff Allen Towers.
From now on, use my computer." Jamie's nodded.
"That's creepy," she shivered.
Jeff read the things written in Jane's computer search engine. He couldn't see who wrote it as he wasn't using the camera at the time it happened.
He knew it was Max.
He slammed his computer down.
He went to his room and began to pack his bags for Greece.
He would grab Jane tomorrow morning on his way to his family's private jet.
He would coax her into his car, to talk.
Then he would convince her to leave with him.
He would make her understand. He needed her.
If she refused. He had a plan for that as well.
Jeff reved up his new stun gun. Jane would be his wife.
He would give her a baby and make her love him again.
He always got what he wanted.
He knew that Jane went jogging along the beach every day. He could easily find her there.
Jamie stretched and turned over in the bed.
Max was gone. She smelled coffee.
He was cooking breakfast. "Max, your spoiling me. You are ruining your own life, once we are married, this will be expected of you my love."
He smacked her with the kitchen towel that had been resting over his shoulder.
He bent over and kissed her. "Yes dear, whatever you say dear."
Jamie giggled.
He was practicing. They stayed up late last night setting the date for their big day.
Jamie wanted a June wedding. He wanted one tomorrow.
She would compromise on May.
Max had been looking at rings for Jamie.
He was going to a jeweler today to order the thick gold band, the one that she had wanted.
She didn't want a fancy diamond. Just a thick shiny band.
He would make it happen. But he would surprise her with an inscription.
I will follow you anywhere my love, Max.
He was getting anxious to get it done. Max decided that they would vacation in Mexico.
Jamie wore her athletic gear, she stretched as she was getting ready for her morning run.
She wanted to eat her breakfast after the run, so she started to stretch before she took off.
It was her daily habit. Max watched her bend as he flipped the last pancake.
He turned off the stove and removed the pan from the fire.
Max came up behind her as she bent over, touching her toes.
He held her hips and thrust forward.
She fell forward losing her balance.
She smacked his arm. "Hey, you beast!"
He helped her up and rubbed her legs down for her, to get her circulation going.
So he said.
She turned around to face him. He was grinning, dimples showing.
" Come back soon. We need to eat, then work all of this food off."
She kissed him and promised.
"Be right back!"
She ran out the door and down the side walk. She was listening to her running play list.
She didn't hear the car pull up along side of her.
The car lowed to a stop.
Jeff Allen dressed in a long black wool coat, ran out and jogged along side of her.
"We need to have a conversation."
Jamie stopped seeing him there.
She hadn't heard what he said. She removed her ear buds. She was breathing hard.
"Did you hear me?"
She shook her head,"No."
Jeff motioned to a table by the sand. He asked her again to talk to him.
Jamie was uncomfortable now. He looked very rich, his manicured hair and long black coat.
She hadn't really paid attention to all of that before.
He smiled and put his hand out for her to take his own hand.
Jamie put her hands on her lap.
" Are you nuts, after everything you've done to Max, to Dave. You think we are having a cumbaya moment here!"
He shook his head. " I can explain. I tried to expose the real Max, when poor Crystal came to me to tell me how he had hurt her, she was only 17 at the time. I did take a few pictures of her. I wanted her to feel protected, protected by someone after what she had been through.
Max is not who you think he is.
I needed you, and the world to know what he did to you as Jamie, his very naughty nannie."
Jamie stood up. "That's enough!" She marched away from him.
She took off running.
She ran past his waiting car.
Frank Gold saw her coming. Jeff motioned him to go get her.
Frank got out, fixing his pants, he called out.
"Jamie wait, Max is calling, he is looking for you. He asked me to find you, it's an emergency."
Jamie frowned. She hadn't remembered to take her phone with her on her run.
She took a step forward, then decided Max would never send Frank Gold after her.
She turned around to run. Jeff caught up to her he reached out his hand and shocked her.
He used the stun gun on her back.
She convulsed and jerked forward, stopped cold and fell flat, right on the hard ground.
Jamie hit her head on a big rock. She went unconscious.
Jeff knelt down. feeling for a pulse.
He panicked and ran back to the car, looking behind to see if anyone had seen him.
Frank Gold picked Jamie's lifeless body up and placed her in the car.
Jeff called his personal physician to meet him at the jet.
Once in the car, blood oozed from Jamie's head.
Jeff gently wiped it with his sleeve. He ruined his coat.
He kissed her lips.
Jamie took a deep breath. She was still alive.
He pulled her close. She had wet her pants when he had shocked her.
She was wet, and bleeding, he still held her. He frowned.
" What have I done to her?"
Frank sneered. His boss was fickle. He must really love this one. He couldn't believe it.
