Chapter 55 - Present - Giselle
Amid her terrible dilemma over whether she could stay in bed for a little longer or if it would be better to go to the bathroom before her nausea got worse, Giselle woke up that morning...
"Goddess, I wish I had my own bathroom at times like this."
... And the only thing that had never bothered her before seemed to be missing more in her life than ever in her thoughts before she turned to the side, looking in the drawer of the nightstand for the small bottle Winnie had given her.
Just one tiny drop of the potion was enough to make her feel a thousand times better, that she could only think of thanking the Witch once more the next time they met...
"... Mommy?" As she took a deep breath, Elle was eventually caught off guard by Edward's timid voice coming from outside her room before he opened the door carefully, as if he was afraid she would scold him.
"What happened, pup? Did you have another nightmare?" Hence speaking to him more gently than usual, Giselle asked back to the little boy, soon calling him to her side on the bed.
But despite following her words, he continued without saying anything to her, thinking about something while looking at his tiny hands before he finally decided to ask the big question on his mind.
“Is Bean not letting you sleep?”
Thinking that she had misheard him for a moment, the she-wolf asked Eddy to repeat what he had just said one more time, only for him eventually ask the same question while pointing to her belly.
“Is Bean not letting you sleep? Do you want me to tell him to be a good pup for you?”
Giselle already knew that Edward somehow had learned about her pregnancy because of the way that he had been acting with her for the past couple of weeks, yet it was the first time the pup had mentioned it to her.
“Bean? Do you mean the pup in my belly, Eddy? Where did you hear that?"

"Aunt Larah always calls her pup like this. And sometimes, she asks me to tell him to be a good boy like me when he is bothering her a lot." Naturally answering me, Eddy mentioned another Pack member, who sometimes took care of him for us and was Mirella's sister.
She was only a few years younger than Daniel's Mate, but unlike most wolves, she had met her other half after her seventeenth birthday, and right now, they were expecting their first child at the age of twenty-two.
"... Mommy? Did I do something wrong?" Confused due to my lack of reaction, Edward soon asked, bringing me back from my thoughts.
"No, honey. You didn't." And while smiling, that was all I could say to him in reply, pulling him into my arms before completing my words. "Mommy is just impressed about how smart you are, my sweet pup."
Placing my forehead against his, I wished that peaceful moment could last longer, hoping the morning could wait a little more before showing up, even though I could already see the sunlight through my window.
