Always on His Mind

Chapter 38 - Present The small waist fit perfectly in his hands, yet they were nothing like the ones that didn't leave his mind. The glossy lips he used to adore no longer pleased him as they did before, while the dark locks continued to lighten in front of his eyes, giving way to the shadow of someone else he wouldn't want to think about. ...Therefore, it was inevitable that Aaron would stop the woman who he barely knew the name of when her hands touched his belt, ready to indulge themselves in a moment of pleasure if he had let her do what she wanted... However, the man just ignored her voice calling out to him as he left the motel once again without doing anything with the partner he had chosen for the evening. Although he has constantly gone out with his friends to forget about the she-wolf, Aaron could never take Giselle entirely out of his mind, even if he didn't want to admit it. And it was something that had never happened to him before. Even girls perfect for him, like Edward's mother, had never driven him insane as she did, letting him vividly recall each one of her touches against his skin when he closed his eyes. ... They were delicate but full of power at the same time as if she dominated him, and there was nothing he wanted to do about it as he was her prey... Yes, he felt like prey before her in the best meaning of the word, if that even existed. "You should go home if you have nothing better to do here but think." The familiar voice of one of his female friends said, sitting down next to him before she ordered a drink for herself. "I don't mean to be rude, but you stood there for the past hour, just staring at your glass." Her hair tied up in a high ponytail matched very well with her tight clothes and gaze that said she knew what exactly she wanted and why she was there. "Leave him alone, baby." And even though she was with someone, the woman was stealing the glances of every man in the place, and usually, Aaron would be one of them as well if it weren't for his mind kept traveling to somewhere else tonight. "Well, it's not funny if he ruins my plans to make you jealous tonight." Speaking her own intentions out loud, the woman continued to complain, even though her lover's arm was around her. "I don't know about your plans, but since when do you care what I do or don't do when I'm here?" Forgetting about the drink that undoubtedly no must taste good anymore, Aaron finally let his attention move to his friends, turning to the couple. "Since the minute you arrived, and you keep making this stupid wolf care more about you than me. I swear! Kevin's eyes have been on you all the time that he didn't even mind who I'm dancing with." Rolling her eyes, the female kept saying, bringing up her lover's name. "I'm not that bad, Cheesecake." And using his fond nickname for his girlfriend, the Werewolf, who was around the same age as Aaron, answered her. "I've never seen him so thoughtful, so obviously, I was a little concerned and curious about understanding what had happened." "Honestly, I don't know who is worse, Kevin... Both of yours and Madison's answers were horrible." The Human man replied to his friend before taking a sip of his new drink. ... Feeling then, the bitter taste spreading through his mouth as if this would be able to erase the thoughts that had been running through his mind since earlier... “You can say whatever you want, but I know you’re happy about what this silly man told me.” He could try to hide how he felt, but rarely did something slip away from Madison's nose; she wasn't a tracker for nothing, although the she-wolf wasn't a big fan of responsibility. "So, answer us quickly. What happened?" "Well... My friend cares about me, so yeah. I would need to be crazy not to be happy with that." Aaron soon ordered another drink after agreeing with her, wondering if he should answer her question honestly or not. "And nothing, I just might not be complete recovery as I thought." Pretending it was true, even to himself, he said, hoping that she wouldn't pick up the scent of his lies... “... If you say so… Yet, I was pretty sure it has something to do with the weird scent I felt on you.”
