Chapter 7 - Past - Aaron
It seemed to be just another day... As usual, Giselle was helping her grandmother in the boutique after school when Sabrina showed up, wanting to talk with the old lady about something far from anyone's ears, especially her own daughter.
... Sadly for her, luck wasn't on her side that day...
"I know it doesn't make sense, mom. But he already has three sons, and I don't think it would be a good idea if they all lived together after we got married. That's why I'm asking if Elle can live with you until she leaves for college."
Quickly responding to her mother's comment, Sabrina spoke before she noticed her daughter's presence when it was too late, and the young she-wolf had already heard her words.
And not knowing what she could say then, Giselle just let her grandmother know that Mrs. Colin had just got there to try on the dress for the charity party before leaving as if she hadn't heard anything... Even though it was evident to everyone there that it wasn't true.
... Leaving the relationship between mother and daughter even more awkward after that evening...
"... Giselle is not you, and even if there is a chance of something like this happening between her and one of these boys, I believe you should have more faith in your daughter first before you do something so drastically like this."
With a sigh escaping the older lips while her granddaughter's scent disappeared back into the store, Cora completed her earlier answer that she had given to the other Werewolf.
"And I'm pretty sure that even your Mate would agree with me if you shared this with him, after all... What is the point of this whole Human ceremony if it's not to bring both your families together as one? ... You should think better about it all, Sweet. But if you still don't change your mind later, Elle is always welcome to live in our house again."
Being the sensible figure who was always there for her daughter when she needed her, the she-wolf finished saying before going to meet one of her oldest clients while Sabrina remained alone there with her thoughts.

Seeing the happy smile on Eddy's face as he talked to her, I couldn't deny how much my son liked her as I watched them from afar in the comfort of my car.
It wasn't as if I was doing this on purpose, but before I could text her that I had arrived early, I saw them coming out, and without realizing it, I stopped myself as my eyes remained glued on them.
"Mommy!"
I wasn't a Werewolf like them, yet, I could easily imagine that it must be what Edward was calling her while his eyes sparkled happily to the point that if I were a stranger, I would probably assume she was his mother.
Giselle has always known how to take care of him since the first day she met Eddy. She knew how to handle him much better than I... Or even Apple on the day when she left our son with me, fulfilling the wish of her Mate who didn't want to raise the child she had had with another man.
Which it's pretty ironic since most of the wolves I knew had parents who weren't each other's Mates, and some were like Sabrina and my father, only met years later, when their children were already teenagers or adults.
... But in any way, I couldn't complain about it, seeing how otherwise I would never know of Edward's existence if it wasn't due to that as Apple never told me about her pregnancy or how the baby could be mine...
And anyone could tell that by looking at him since nothing about Eddy resembled his biological mother anymore, unlike his first months of life.
PRRRRRR! PRRRRRRRR!
Bringing me back from my thoughts... My cell phone startled me for a second as it suddenly vibrated in my hand while I leaned on the steering wheel...
The message was oddly from Giselle asking if I would take much longer for arriver and where I was before I saw her checking her phone while holding Edward's cold hand, which she quickly warmed between her own... Before giving up on getting a response from me as they walked back inside her grandparents' store.
And so, with a sigh, I answered her that in another five minutes, I would be there...
... Regardless of this not being true, I send it to her in any way as thoughts of how she was the only mother Eddy needed in his life returned to my mind... Annoying even more me when I tried to understand from where I had got such an idea as the picture of her sitting next to his slightly older self and a few other faceless children filled up my mind...
But reading the simple okay that she sent me, I shook my head while trying to convince myself that Ed already has a mother, and she is Apple... Just as I always said to my son when I caught him calling her Mommy, I ended up repeating those words to myself, trying to forget the beautiful smile that appeared on her lips when I joined them.
... A smile that I had never seen when she was alone with me.
