Zaan POV
I look forward to seeing Kaya every day; her smile brightens my day, but lately she has been preoccupied with her phone, which intrigues me. I know she is dating someone else, and I am only a good friend to her, but I adore her eyes, nature, chubby cheeks, and beautiful soul and body.
In a black kurti with a black dupatta and plaited hair, she looks gorgeous. I was on my way to meet Kosho near her house. ”Zaan, please return home before 6 o'clocks,” my mother yelled. They're expecting your uncle to arrive, and they'd like to meet you.”
“OK, mama, I'll be back early,” I told her. My mum has always been my closest friend since I was a child.
I dashed towards Kosho's house, my bat clutched in one hand. Then I noticed Kaya on her balcony, talking on her cellphone. Her grin has a contagious effect on me. My heart stopped when her gaze shifted to me and she smiled.
'You seem to be quite busy these days,' I messaged her. 'Did you forget about me?'
No, I haven't forgotten about you, and I'm not as busy as you think.
Her message made me smile like a hundred times.
'Have you eaten your lunch since getting home from school?' I texted back.
No, she said, "I haven't eaten." Later, I'll eat.
I texted her again, telling her to go eat her dinner right now. If you don't eat, I won't either.”
Okay, she said. Mr. Ahmad, I'm leaving you to play right now.
I grinned as I read her message and began playing with Kosho when she referred to me as Mr. Ahmad, which sounded much nicer. I keep an eye on her balcony in the hopes that she will appear and I will see her.
But she didn't show up; she may have been preoccupied with her academics. When I returned home, I saw that my uncle Marco had arrived. I've been afraid of him since I was a child, yet he has always been a strong supporter of our family.
I went to my room after meeting him and texted Kaya.
Are you occupied? ~Z
No, I was concentrating on my studies. So, what were you up to? ~K
There was nothing except slumber. ~Z
Have you completed your final exam's syllabus? ~K
No, I wasn't in the mood to study these days. ~Z
Then she explained how important it is for me to prioritise my academics and made me vow that I would study harder for the exam and achieve good results. Texting and caring for each other became a norm. Kaya's affections for him were intensifying. I was becoming very enamoured with her.
Kaya POV
My cousins are coming over for a visit today. I'm currently working on my schoolwork. When the door of my room was knocked on. When I went to answer the door, I noticed my cousins' brothers and sister standing there.
I was speaking with Sasha when Fais said sternly, "I heard you like a boy, and he told my buddies that you are Richard's daughter and that you are crazy for him.As he is solely interested in gaining popularity. He's tarnishing your reputation."
After hearing him, I was taken aback. To begin with, how did he know? Sandre and I didn't share anything with anyone else, and we both talked and liked each other.
It indicates Fais is correct, Sandre is taking advantage of me.
I left them and dialled Sandre's number to inquire. I'm looking for the truth and an explanation for what I've heard. I tried calling him several times, but he didn't answer. Even if we only talked on f*******:, it still hurts.
I needed someone to talk to, and the only person who sprang to mind was Zaan, to whom I might ask for advice on whether Fais was telling the truth or not. They share mutual friends. We became excellent friends in a short period of time, and he showed concern for me.
'Hi, are you free?' I messaged Zaan.
Yes, but what exactly happened? Is everything in your life going well? ~Z
No, I'm too depressed and hurt. ~K
I told him everything that had happened and expressed my feelings.
The next day, I went to school in the famous convent and found my pals Ashi, Nash, and Anji conversing and laughing near the green zone cafeteria.
I ignored them and went directly to class to retrieve my belongings. I didn't want to talk to anyone. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder, and as I turned around, Ashi and Era were standing there. They realised something wasn't quite right. I told them, and they patiently listened to me.
They continuously warned me that he was a bad person and advised me to avoid him and focus on my schoolwork. I listened to them with my head bowed.
‘Arz and her group were throwing a party at school, and they invited me as well,' Ashi said, apprehensive. To brighten my mood, Ashi dragged me there. Despite my refusal, she gave me puppy eyes.
We went there during lunchtime and found Rash, Arz, and her friends making fun of junior students. They are Our section's naughtiest bunch. I placed my order and sat with Era and other friends.
“I heard that baby girl was sobbing and your mommy bear friends were consoling you,” Aliya mocked me as she approached our table. I knew there was no way a boy could tolerate you if you were a fat ass like you. You've always been a nerd and a traditionalist. Remember to check your reflection in the mirror. Everyone was staring at me because I was humiliated and depressed.
“Don't you dare to talk to her like that Miss parrot,” Ashi warned, steaming with rage. "Take a look at yourself first. She is not like you, who place a premium on physical attractiveness. Simply leave, or I will teach you a valuable lesson the next time we meet."
I started crying and kept my head down as she went with her bimbos.
I generally messaged Zaan at night, but I wasn't feeling well today. Then he messaged me and inquired how my crush had fooled me, and I told him. His words say that one part of his heart felt relieved that I found out before it was too late. When I ignored the news, he consoled me and invited me to dinner. Despite the fact that I require time and care, his kind approach made me feel special.
After few days
My cousins were playing in the playground during their winter vacation.
In contrast to the pink sweater, I wore a pink shirt kurti with a deep neck and white tight leggings. I dashed into the garden, where I found Zaan playing cricket with Kosho and his buddies, as well as Fais and his sisters.
Benny and I were playing badminton when she received a foul. So I waited for someone to offer to play badminton with me.
Zaan appeared out of nowhere and offered to play with me. This time, it's his mischievous eyes, sharp nose, fair complexion, and killer smile that melt my heart. He was dressed in a blue shirt and grey jeans, which drew my attention.
We had a secret chat and looked out for each other as though we were friends. But there's always the possibility that he's a buddy of my brother's.
While the shuttle was falling down, I played with him by looking into his eyes. His bulging black eyes caused me to lose focus and forget about the rest of the world. As a result, I sighed and returned home after losing the game. This was Zaan's fault, not mine, as I was unable to say anything due to his staring contest. Zaan had been studying for his final examinations for a few months. Because I was too preoccupied to assist my mother, my grandfather moved in with us.
My father travelled to Yorkshire for my grandmother's treatment. Her blood cancer has been discovered. As a result, they must undergo chemotherapy. I was spoon-feeding my grandfather snacks to get him to eat them.
When he unexpectedly expressed a desire to sit in the backyard. My mother walked out into the yard to see if anyone might assist him.
Then her gaze was drawn to Zaan and Kosho, who were standing nearby. She requested assistance from them. Both of them entered the room.
Zaan stepped forward and assisted my grandfather in sitting in his wheelchair before transporting him to the backyard. He sat there feeling revitalised.
When I saw Zaan, his eyes were bright and he had a lovely smile.
I was grateful that he assisted him, and this aspect of him had a particular place in my heart.
I noted that he frequently assisted Kosho and Lucy, but he never showed it. He is a friendly and helpful individual.
I thanked him later that night and we talked for a while. He was quite concerned about me.
