Chapter 17

Sasha kept playing Melody’s words over and over again in her head. She could change things and finally be a normal couple, then again they would never be normal. Their parents were engaged, they were living together and they were just about to publicly enter the music-business for the world to see.

”Are you guys ready?” Katy’s voice brought Sasha out of her thoughts.

”As ready as I’ll ever be.” Sasha took a deep breath and she felt Luke grab her hand and squeeze it gently, like he was giving her the last bit of courage she needed.

”So it’s been a while since I had the honors to present new talent that has signed with MFM and tonight I have the honors of presenting two amazingly talented teenagers, They are both something special and I don’t think they need more introduction than that. Luke Wilson and Sasha Harris ladies and gentleman.” Mike said and walked off the stage.

And with that the secret couple walk out on stage together, doing their best to not look as a couple.

”So we thought that we’d start things of with a duet if that’s okay with you guys?” the crowd just cheered and screamed at her words.

”Well I take that as a yes” he said as he looked at Sasha quickly. ”So we wrote this one last week actually so you are the first once to hear it.” The crowd cheered as the music started.

The crowd went wild and Sasha finally knew that this was the way she wanted her life to look like from now on and that included Luke by her side in more than a friendly way. Sasha walked off stage as Luke was about to play one of his own songs.

When Luke finished the song he thanked the crowd and walk off stage, giving Sasha a quick kiss and a good luck before she took his place on stage.

”So I know that all of us has some sort of past, some are pretty good and other are not but in the end none of that matters cause we can’t change our past, only effect our future. Don’t let the bad people in your life make it anything you don’t want it to be.” She spoke before an to her all to familiar music started to play.

Sasha felt herself drop a tear through the rest of the song, not knowing it would bring out all these emotions. She took a deep breath before she thanked and walked back stage once again. She didn’t even got walk down the small stairs until Luke caught her in his arms and spun her around.

”You did so good!!” He whispered into her ear.

”You were amazing!” She said back as he spun them around away from prying eyes.

None of them had ever felt that rush before, they may both have performed before but this was it, there was no turning back now. This was the life they had now signed up for and they already loved it. Luke placed small kisses on her lips before she buried her face in his neck and she couldn’t keep the smile from her lips even if she tried.

”We should probably get out there before they start thinking we ran away or something.” Luke joked but there was something in what he said that sounded really appealing to her. 

”I know, I just don’t want this to end..” She gave Luke a sweet lingering kiss. ”But you’re right so let’s go and see how the world respond to us..” She said before she started to walk around the stage back out onto the floor where everyone else were.

The rest of the night was full of people congratulating both of the teens and telling them they couldn’t wait for their music to hit the stores. There was even paparazzi outside wanting to get a picture of the two new faces for StartsRecords. Sasha had a hard time falling a sleep later on, she was still pumping with adrenalin and she had the nights events playing on a loop in her head. Paul had been telling her not to read any of the reviews, he was talking from personal experience and she was planning on taking it but a pumped up Sasha couldn’t help herself but search the sites for people’s thoughts.

People were impressed by both of them and they loved the duet. The two had a couples name already, Lusha. People wanted more Lusha, not only when it came to music but otherwise too. There was so many speculations on rather the two of them were a couple or not. Some said no, due to their parents engagement and the fact that they were about to become siblings. Some didn’t care about that and still wanted them to get together, thinking that they were perfect for each other. These people didn’t even know them yet they knew something Sasha had just figured out herself. She wanted them to be meant to be and she couldn’t help but think that maybe they were. The thought did cross her mind that sneaking around just got a whole lot more difficult and that was something they really needed to talk about. Coming out in the public eye like this wasn’t helping their secret in any way. But back to the gossip sites.. She just laughed at the rumor that Laura and Paul were a cover and that the teens had been dating for years. And that it was actually they who were engaged and not the adults. 

’Seriously, what parents would let their two eighteen year olds move in together and cover for them so the world wouldn’t judge them? Seriously, who would do that? OH GOD!! Our parents.. They would read this and knowing my mom she would actually believe it and keep an extra eye on us.. great, this secret relationship just became non-existing.. thanks paparazzi for killing the only romance I had been getting the past years. Thanks a lot.’ She thought to herself.
