Xavier’s POV

I heard her arguing with her mom. Her mom went crazy when she saw me. Frankly, it wasn’t surprising that every woman that lays their eyes on me goes crazy, but the thing that did surprise me was that my mate didn’t show any interest in me. She didn’t even know me and got confused with the chief guest drama. My mate was so beautiful and I was glad that she didn’t have a boyfriend. Otherwise, I had to look for a solution to remove the boyfriend from her life and that could be dangerous, especially when dealing with Loki. Loki was a wolf who was extremely possessive towards his things and he was desperate for his mate.

Every woman I knew was always dying to meet me and if I invited one of them to dinner, they will jump with joy and agree. But Hazel was totally different compared to other girls. She was a beauty with a brain. She didn’t commit or was interested in a relationship easily. I like that, Amore Mio. She kept high regard for her dignity.

I overheard her mentioning that she believed billionaires were playboys. I couldn’t blame her for thinking as such since there were bastards out there who were like that. “Don’t do anything crazy, Loki. I will slowly make her fall for us and she will love us,” I guaranteed him as I got into the vehicle. I noticed that my bodyguards had parked her vehicle in the garage.

“Sir, your face looks much brighter today. Is there anything I should know about?” Kendrick asked while driving back to the office.

“There’s nothing, Kendrick. Just concentrate on the evening meeting we are going to have with the clients,” I replied, adjusting my sunglasses.

“Yeah, right. I hope it’s definitely not about Ms. Hazel.” Kendrick gave me a teasing smile and I looked at him, my lips curving into a small smile.

“Do you want to get down and walk all the way to the office, Kendrick?” I asked sarcastically.

“We will definitely concentrate on the meeting this evening, sir,” he replied and unfolded the laptop.

We rushed to the office and joined the final meeting. But the entire time, my mind was full of joy and happiness. I was fully distracted by Hazel. She was an angel, my angel. Her smile, her kind heart, her fake anger, all impressed me. Her perfect body curves made me go crazy. “Mr. Xavier, when you get married one day, do come to our hotel with your spouse for your honeymoon. I’m sure that it will be the perfect place for your honeymoon. I would be glad and honored to serve you, Mr. Xavier,” the project manager in charge, Mr. Liam, said.

“Definitely! I will visit your hotel, Mr. Liam, but before that, I need to find a girl to marry,” I replied with a smile.

“But your face is glowing more than it used to previously. I assumed it was because you met your soul mate,” Mr. Liam teased, pointing at my face.

“Really?” My hands started touching my cheeks curiously. This is all because of you, my angel.

The clients laughed at my antics before exiting the meeting room. I said my goodbyes and returned to my office.

“Mr. Xavier, why were you smiling from time to time during the meeting?” Kendrick asked as soon as I sat down. s**t! Did he notice that I was smiling to myself? This is really embarrassing Hazel! What are you doing to me, baby?

“It’s because I was happy. I was imagining the completed hotel and I was certain that I will be able to get this project,” I lied, hiding my face behind the laptop.

“I’m really tired, Kendrick. I will leave now. I will spend the weekend sleeping, so do not disturb me. If there’s anything, just email me or text me.” I stood up and stretched my body.

It was already 9.00 p.m. when I drove my vehicle to my hotel. I went up the VIP elevator and the top floor was my suite. The VIP lift was especially used only by me while there were three more elevators for guests. Our New York hotel was the highest income-generating hotel among our other hotels since New York was the center of America’s economy. Most guests and travelers do not fail to visit my hotel. e

I threw my phone on the bed and turned on the TV to watch the news. The only news that was telecasted was my visit to New York high school. It was lucky that I escaped with Hazel from the back door to my car. Otherwise, it would be a huge hit on television news and I am sure that every channel could get the highest views. I turned off the TV and removed my clothes to take a shower.

The stress and tiredness of the day all disappeared with the cold shower. I wiped my body dry and apply some body spray. This will give me a good night's sleep. I lied on the bed with my boxers and grabbed my phone to check the internet. The gossip sites were all covered with my visit to New York high school. I swiped through the photos and stopped at a particular photo. It was taken when Hazel was offering me a flower bouquet to welcome me.
