Chapter Thirty-eight: The palace guards

"How will we enter? The guards are at the gate and I don't think they are friendly to females like me." Mia said.

"What? They don't bite." Ajay joked.

"Oh no, this is a no joke matter here. So how do we enter?" Mia asked.

"Since I trusted you, you should also trust me with this plan." Ajay said.

"What plan? I don't get it." Mia said.

"I guess you'll fit for the role of an actress." Ajay said as he carried Mia on his arms and head towards the gate.

It was so sudden to Mia and judging by his actions, he is going towards those guards with Mia in his hands. Mia tried to free herself but Ajay's strength is far more powerful than Mia's own, even though she had an immense amount of strength. What did you expect, being a swordsman for all of his life, training in different segments of life will make a man a superhuman.

"Put me down, you i***t. I shouldn't have trusted you. I know you can never change so easily!" Mia was shouting. When they got to the gate of the palace, Mia tried to use her Ice freeze skill but unfortunately, it is not working.

'What is happening? My skill is not working. The system should have at least give me a new skill if this one won't work. It doesn't do like this before.' Mia thought.

"Master!" The knights saluted Ajay. "We heard that you were captured as a slave by some giants. How did you managed to escape from them?" The guards asked but Ajay was surprised at what they had said.

"What do you mean? captured as a slave by giants? Who told you that?" Ajay asked.

"It is Steven, the assistant master knight." The guards answered.

"Steven, Steven, Steven, I'll kill that brat for spreading crazy rumours and causing more problems." Ajay mumbled and only Mia could hear what she is saying.

"So, where's Steven?" Ajay asked.

"He's at the Kingdom's gate." They answered.

"Okay. Open the gate, I have to see the king." Ajay said but the guards are hesitant to open the gate. It was because of the lady they saw in ajay's hand that made them hesitate. And each one of them started murmuring amongst each other.

"Are you talking about her?" Ajay asked, noticing the way they are acting.

"Don't worry about her. The king ordered me to bring her in as one of the slaves that he will be bidding this afternoon. Don't you see how pretty she is, she's the king's top sale." Ajay Sugar-coated his words and fortunately, the guards had fallen for his words and immediately, they open the gate for him.

After walking a few metres away from the guards, far away from their sights, Ajay placed Mia down.

"That's how big guys acts." Ajay said with a smile but his face was met with Mia's hot slap.

"How dare you carry me like that! I'm a married woman and a queen of a kingdom for that matter." Mia shouted and Ajay's hand were on his face. The slap was so gummy to his cheek and it was likewise painful to him.

"Heck, I don't mean to do that, I carried you so they'll think that you are a real slave." Ajay tried to defend his actions at all cost.

"Huh? Is that how they carry a slave? s**t, you're so annoying. Why did I even believed you and even told you to follow me." Mia said.

"Should I go back then?" Ajay asked.

"Why would you leave?" Mia replied.

"I thought you already know the way, so there's no need for me to be here anymore." Ajay said to Mia.

"Who told you that I can't find the way by myself." Mia said.

"Then suit yourself, I don't have a hand in this. I'll just wait for you in the hotel as a slave, right?" Ajay replied.

"Instead of leaving, you can just stay somewhere here and look out for any danger. I'm going to rescue those slaves." Mia said as she went towards a direction at the corner of the palace.

"Wow, that girl is something. How did she even know that that is where the slaves are? and that second female got a lot of money and can see someone's past. Oh, I forgot, they are wonder women." Ajay said as he rubbed his cheek. "s**t, her slap hurts badly, did she have an iron hand?"

Mia got to the front of a separate small building with the windows shut.

She got this skill when she was being carried by Ajay. That's why she had boasted of finding out her way to the slaves. It was all because of the confidence she got from the skill called dragon eyes. And according to the system,

But, apart from the dragon eyes skill, another skill was granted to her by the system, she don't know when she will use it, but she knew that the skill will be useful to her soon.

She saw the auras of some guards at the front of the building, and so, she resulted into turning invisible to fight the guards.

She turned invisible and ran towards the guards. The guards who are ignorant of what is happening around them were just talking and chatting among each other. But Mia decided to play some jokes on them as she start interfering into their discussions.

After answering or talking while the guards were talking, the guards started getting curious of where the voice had came from. They searched the whole place and Mia would play tricks on them by slapping them on the butt or kicking them on the knees.
