Sixty Five: Meeting with James.

After Mia left the group and Roselle had also excused herself, it remained only the seer, Ajay and Greg.
They also decided to stroll out to see how the people of the kingdom is faring and to know more about the kingdom they are visiting. They went through the markets and they could see all types of foods that are being displayed for sale. Beast Crystals, weapons, and armours could also be seen displayed for sale. While the seer and the others were looking around the kingdom, a boy who was being chased by some guys suddenly bumped onto the trio. The boy fell on the floor thereby wounding himself on the spot.
The guys that were chasing the boy were four in number and they had him cornered to the ground.
"You bastard! How many times do I have to tell you that you shouldn't preach on any prophecy to us. The conqueror do not exist, stop speaking blasphemy." One of the man said as he was about to hit the boy with the rod in his hands but it was stop midway by Ajay.
"Don't hit the boy, he's innocent." Ajay said gently.
"What? Who are you??" The man asked.
"Just leave the boy alone." Ajay said.
"Why? The boy is a devil, he is a disciple of the evil conqueror. Why would you allow such kid to live. He must die!" The man and his fellow men also echoed the word, "He must die!"
"Well, I don't see any reason to judge this kid as an evil person. He didn't kill anyone, nor did he commit any evil." The seer said, as she Intervene into the matter.
"We don't care what you think, this boy is an evil person." The man said but suddenly, the seer's eye glowed brighter.
"The four of you should go away now!" The seer commanded and immediately, the four men ran away like mad men.
After the four men were gone, Ajay raised the young boy up whose name is James.
"Thank you guys for saving me, I would have been dead now if not for you." the boy thanked them.
"You're welcome." Ajay answered.
"So,.. What's your name again?" Greg asked.
"I'm James and you?" James answered.
"Greg."
"Nice meeting you."
"Same wish."
"So, James, where are your parents?" Ajay asked, he had been wondering what happened to his parents that made him to be homeless in a big kingdom like this.
They were making their way back to the shelter they found earlier.
"They are in the stone kingdom." James replied.
"Stone kingdom? captured by the stone king?" Ajay questioned.
"Maybe, but I don't care. They refuse to listen to me, so I leave them be by turning myself into an orphan." James said. The hair on his head were curly and bushy but as they were bushy, it looks more prettier on him.
While on their way to the shelter, they came across an holographic device that was displaying a beast match that was going on.
"Hey! Check this out!! I've never watched this in years." James said as he stared at the ongoing beast match displayed on the screen.
"Is that not the conqueror?!" Greg said noticing that Mia was the one in the game arena.
"Where? Where is the conqueror?" James asked surprisingly.
They all looked at the screen as they saw Mia charging at a Minotaur beast.
"Is that really the Conqueror?!" James said excitedly.
People had start placing a bet on the match and everyone was against Mia defeating the Minotaur.
The young lady who had start the bet was none other than Roselle, she knew the capability of Mia, so she had bet that Mia would defeat the beast. Not to be surprised, Roselle is the only one who placed a bet on Mia to defeat the beast.
The game coordinator had went to meet Mia to inform her of what is happening outside.
"Hey lady, it seems like everyone wants to see you kick that minotaur's ass. Why don't you win this round and you'll become famous. A young lady even placed a bet on you winning while the others are otherwise." The man informed Mia.
"What!" Mia exclaimed, "A young lady, only a young lady placed a bet on me winning?" Mia was surprised.
"You better do well on the fight, don't break the young lady's heart." The man said as he signalled for the game to begin.
Mia was still wondering who the young girl was to have placed a bet on her winning. Even if she don't have the aim of winning this game before, because of the young lady, she will win this game at all cost.
The Minotaur was released for Mia to fight and as the beast saw who had came for a fight, it dashed out at a full speed towards Mia. Mia grabbed the two horns of the Minotaur as they were both in equal strength. Mia continue pushing the beast in hopes of getting it on it's knees, but it wasn't an easy thing to do.
But then, an idea struck through. Her Mana could increase her strength and the amount of Mana she had left is 169. She used her Mana borrow skill to borrow Mana from the people in the arena. As the Mana was drained from the people, they could feel themselves getting weaker but the game they are watching didn't allow them to think much about it.
Mia borrowed Mana from thirty people and each person gives 10 points of Mana. So thirty people means she got 300 points of Mana.
In addition to the one she have, the totality is four hundred and sixty nine, 469 Mana points.
But Mia could feel within herself that the Mana was too much for her body to take in, so she reduced it to 319. Even still, the mana is too much for her body. If she don't expel the Mana out of her body, she might expire.
"Time to give this beast a taste of my super strength." Mia said still holding the horns of the Minotaur.
