Sixty Four: Beast Contest

If Mia would engage in any type of beast hunt, she would prefer to start from the least powerful beast which is at the basic tier, before proceeding to the next tier which is the intermediate tier.

The game that is going on presently is showing a man fighting against a king tier beast.

The man is a little bit slender yet, he was able to wield a Longsword in his hands. He has been in the game arena for over ten minutes now and several black bloods were on his face and body. The king tier beast that he's fighting is a plant like beast with a lot of thorns around it's plant like body.

The man wasn't able to get closer to the beast because of it's deadly thorns. He could oy swing his weapon in hopes of it striking the plant like beast at some region, but the beast would dodge the attack and the sword would hit nothing but thin air. The man was getting tired and worn out. The only time he was able to attack the beast was when the game had started and he had quickly stroke the beast before it could defend itself.

After so many struggles, the man managed to kill the beast and the game ended. The dead beast was taken away while the man exited the game arena.

"Don't you ever!" The man shouted as he approached some men who Mia thought to be the dealer of the game.

"We've told you already, mr Blue, all the beast have been reserved for the evening show. And we could only give you the plant like ones to fight with." The men tried to explain.

As Mr Blue was walking around, someone stopped him midway.

"You want to fight a beast right?" The person said, he is an older man with a curly moustache.

"Who are you?" Mr Blue asked.

"I am Gray and I am the leader of the Mang guild." The strange man said. While all this was being discussed, Mia was listening to their discussion.

"Let's leave all the introductions for later and get to the main business.

My team captured an high tier beast and we have decided to bring it to the game arena for contest." Mr Gray said. "Since you said you want to fight a beast, why don't you participate in the contest that will be held this evening. The winner will not only be nominated as a candidate to the throne, but he will be given a sum of 200,000 credits."

Just as Mr Blue heard this, his eyes lit up and immediately, he went to the game board to register as a contestant.

Mia who had been watching them all the time was wondering how a man who failed to kill a king tier beast would be able to kill an higher level beast.

Mia went towards another arena where a lot of crowds are busy watching the fight that was going on. Mia went towards a notice board that was near the game arena and written on the notice board are the names of different types of beasts that are available for people to fight.

And all the beasts seems to be beasts with ice abilities.

"If I could drain the ice attributes from at least thirty beasts, I should be able to raise my ice attribute point to some point." Mia said as she decided to participate in the beast contest.

She went to the game board to register as a participant and she was given the number, thirty.

The person in the game arena is number twenty eight, so it won't take long for Mia to fight in the arena.

Number twenty eight and twenty nine finished the fight and so, it was time for Mia to fight.

She went inside the arena and she could see that the people were amazed that she would be fighting a beast.

An ice golem beast was released for Mia to fight, it is a basic tier beast, so it wasn't much of a problem to Mia. After defeating the beast, an intermediate tier beast was released and the same thing happened, Mia defeated it in seconds but she made sure that she drain their ice attributes before going for the next round. After defeating all the low tier beasts, she got to the king tier level beasts.

A king tier Ice golem was given to her and since she already know how best to kill ice golems, it didn't take long for her to deal with the beast.

But everything change when the next tier beast given to her happened to be a Minotaur.

' I've been planning to gain more ice attribute but since you have given me a Minotaur, I could just fight it to gain more Exp.' Mia said as she prepared herself to fight the beast. She won't be using any of her fire or lightning skills so she got to win this either with her sword or with her bare hands.

Since it is a beast with an human hand, Mia had chosen to fight with the beast with her bare hands. The level of the beast is an emperor tier level and since Mia had gotten her powers, she have never fought a beast as strong as that. The day she fought the lion with fire around it's body is the day she had firstly fought a king tier beast, so she don't know how this round will go without any experience of fighting such beast before.

News had spread around the whole kingdom that a female will be fighting a Minotaur, an emperor tier beast. Like a swarm of bees, the whole arena became crowded with a lot of people, anxious to see how the fight will end.

While everyone was searching for seats to sit in, a young lady came in as she brought up a suggestion.

"How about we place a bet and see if the lady will win against the beast." The young lady said.
