Alicia and I went back to her house to get ready. She showered and then I did. When I was done she was putting on makeup in her big walk in closet. She was sitting in front of her vanity mirror finishing up the final touches. “Hey, are you ready for me to do your hair?” I ask her.

“Yea, just give me one more minute and then I am all yours. Would you like me to do your makeup as well or do you have it covered?” she asked me.

“Could you do it? I’m not that great at it. You know me, a little eyeshadow and mascara and lip gloss is all I wear.” I give her a small smile

“Of course I can do your makeup no problem. Do you have any thoughts on how you want your hair done? Do you want it all up, all down, half and half, or just a little bit up?” Alicia questioned me.

“I was thinking a little up so I can just have my natural curls down.” I told her.

“You got it, I think little braids pinned up in the middle will look good. Let's get you ready and then we can get dressed.” I nod to let her know I was ready. She fixes up my hair and gets my makeup done. Now it's time to get our dresses on. We grave my dress and she helps me put it on and then I help her put hers on and I zip her up. She quickly looks at herself in the mirror and she smiles. Happy with how she looks. She steps aside so I can look at myself in her full length hair. My mouth dropped. I didn’t even recognize myself. Wow, I look beautiful. I never thought I could look like this. Alicia did a wonderful job.

“Oh my goddess Keri, look at you, you are so gorgeous. I didn’t even recognize you. Come on, let's go show my mom. Plus we need to go. We will be late if we don’t get moving.” Alicia nodded her head to indicate that I went first out the door.

“Wow ladies you both look amazing. You both look so grown up. Where did the time go? Ok let's go and Alicia I know it's not normal but we would like it if you sat with us tonight.” Alicia's dad Rick said to me. I nodded my head as we headed out.

We walk in and it is so beautifully set up every detail is set up perfectly. Luna has done a wonderful job with this. To the decorations, the tablecloths, napkins and centerpieces. I wonder how she became so good at this. It always looks so great at events like this. Most of the time I don’t come and enjoy these. I have always preferred to help the omegas with dinner and serve everyone.

Alicia and I followed her parents through the hall and went to sit at our table as others filed in. Alicia and I sit and talk, while her parents make their rounds to the other guest. As we talk we both are looking around at everyone. I see that alpha Hunter, beta Luca, and gamma James enter the room. All talking and joking around. Hunter looks really tense all of a sudden and starts to look around.

“Hey Keri do you want to get up and walk around or just sit here?” She asks, taking my attention away from Alpha Hunter.

“Umm well can we take a walk outside for a moment. I know it's always beautiful out there as well as in here.” I let her know my thoughts. “Of course let's go. We shouldn’t be out there too long because I’m sure the Alpha will make his announcement soon and then dinner will be served.” we make our way outside to walk around. Enjoying the comfortable silence. We walked around for another 15 minutes enjoying the starry night. We walked back into the hall in just enough time to sit down as the alpha stands to make his announcement.

“Good evening and thank you all for coming to Hunter's 18th birthday celebration. We are so happy that everyone could join us tonight. Now let’s have dinner and dance the night away.” When he finished cheering and applause went up. Dinner was served and the dancing started as everyone mingled as well. It was a beautiful night and I for once was having a great time. Well until my cousin James showed up with Chelse in tow.

“Well well look who we have here? Where did you even get that dress? Did you steal it? I’m sure you did, seeing the fact you don’t have the money to buy it.” James spat at me.

Alicia stepped in front of me and spat at James. “It was an early birthday gift from my parents to Keri for her birthday! I wouldn’t expect you to even care that her 18th birthday is in exactly 2 weeks. I’m sure you and your parents won't even think twice of that day. So me and my parents will make it special for her.”

James looked at her with such rage on his face. I don’t know if I have ever seen him this angry before. “I am not gonna say anything at this point because it’s Hunters party but I will have my revenge. Keep looking over your shoulder, both of you will regret it. You won't know when I will be cashing in on this promise. As he walks away with Chelse.

“Oh no Keri I’m sorry I just couldn’t take it anymore.” She said with sad eyes. Knowing he will cash in on it at some point and it won't be good for me especially. “It’s alright I know I could only hold you off for so long. I just hope it's not that bad. I don’t want to know what he plans to do, I am very worried now.” She sighs with defeat knowing it's gonna happen and it's all her fault. I told her not to worry about it and that we will be alright.
