Time was running out and Valentine would soon have to return to his home. Other than foolishly falling for an Alpha Predator, he only had the one overheard conversation to show for his time at Hades’ castle. Not that it’s anything to boast about.
Over the last couple of days, he’d only glimpsed Cole as he’d continued familiarizing himself with the castle and trying to find out anything that might help Hades. The last time was when he was investigating another mezzanine. Then he’d been more than pleased to remain hidden as Mandrake was at Cole’s side.
